More games are coming to PS Plus subscribers at no extra cost with a new drop on the way shortly for Extra and Premium subscribers.
Monkey Ball and more Destiny 2 could be set to arrive in the latest PS Plus update, which is thankfully right around the corner.
PS Plus is back on top. It seems that in the last couple of months, everyone attached to the service has been winning big, with the most recent drops offering some big titles. The PS Plus Essential May 2025 drop revealed the arrival of Balatro and Warhammer 40K: Boltgun for all subscribers in a heaving delivery, and before that came a major collection with the PS Plus April 2025 Extra and Premium announcement, as it delivered the massive Hogwarts Legacy to players. The service has a lot to prove if it's going to keep charging players for its online services, but thankfully, PlayStation has been seriously coming through recently.
Another bout of PS Plus Extra and Premium games are on their way now, and as players get excited for it, they've been wondering what will arrive – and while we won't know for sure until the titles are revealed, we have a pretty handy means of predicting what could arrive in the latest drop. Our means of guessing what's on the way is to take a look at the leading games that arrived on the service last year, add a year to those games' initial release dates on PlayStation, and see what turns up in that period.
In this case, we'll be taking a look at the PS Plus Extra and Premium May 2024 release, which featured the likes of Red Dead Redemption 2, Deceive Inc. and The Sims 4 City Living Expansion Pack. It's clear that the service spent all of its pennies on the arrival of Red Dead Redemption 2, and taking a look at its 26 October 2018, we could expect some games from October 2019 like Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD, Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered and even the Destiny 2 Shadowkeep expansion.
It'd certainly be a big month if they did arrive, but we won't know for sure what's on the way until PlayStation makes the reveal. Luckily for us, it's not far off. Here's when you can expect the PS Plus Extra and Premium May 2025 reveal date.

We know this because PS Plus Extra and Premium games are always revealed on the second Wednesday of every month, before delivering the titles on the following Tuesday, which is exactly what happened with the Extra and Premium games for April 2025.
The games coming are a mystery for now, but with the track record that the service has been able to offer in the last few months, it'd be a surprise if we didn't get something exciting. After all, players need something to keep them involved.

You can check out all of the deals over at PlayStation Direct, but in the meantime I've rounded up some of the best offers below: In my PS5 review, I called the PlayStation 'this generation's must-have home console' thanks to its stellar library of exclusive games. If that didn't convince you, maybe this £90 saving will – the time-limited discount applies to both the digital and disc editions of the console. I've highlighted the disc edition here, which is essential if you've got a collection of physical PS4 and PS5 games (or Blu-ray movies) hanging around at home. You'll find the same £90 discount applied to the cheaper, all-digital version of the PlayStation 5. As the name suggests, this model doesn't come with a disc drive but plays games downloaded from PlayStation Direct. Perfect if you've done away with dusty old physical media. Not sure which edition to get? Handily the digital-edition PS5 can be upgraded with a disc drive later if you ever change your mind. That £90 discount on the PS5 also applies to the official DualSense console bundle, which packs an extra wireless controller in the box and is essential if you plan on multiplayer gaming at home. The DualSense controller is an impressive piece of technology in its own right, and uses dynamic vibrations and actuators in the shoulder buttons to simulate everything from weapon recoil to throttle response in racing games. The upgraded version of the original PS5 launched in 2024 and gave Sony's console a massive spec bump, including double the internal storage and more rendering power. 'Featuring 8K graphics, more internal memory, improved ray tracing and upscaling, the PS5 Pro is the best console out right now, blowing the Xbox Series X out of the water,' said tech writer, Alex, in their PS5 Pro review. The definitive edition of the PS5, the PlayStation 5 Pro gets a £45 discount at PlayStation Direct. That's the cheapest we've seen it. The PSVR2 has to be experienced to be believed, teleporting your easily duped brain into spookily convincing virtual reality worlds. My PSVR2 review called it 'one of the best and easiest-to-use VR headsets you can buy today', adding that 'if you own a PS5 and want to tap into the wide and growing library of fascinating VR experiences that already exist, there's no simpler way to do it.' The hardware's standout title is easily Horizon: Call of the Mountain, a stunningly immersive white-knuckle adventure that blends climbing and archery combat. Right now there's £55 off at PlayStation Direct. Still reeling from the second season of The Last of Us? There's no better time to jump back into the games that inspired the show. Both parts of Naughty Dog's celebrated third-person zombie shooter – including the remastered second game – are discounted in the Days of Play sale.
