Helium and CO2 Plant Construction Permit Approved

Helium and CO2 Plant Construction Permit Approved by Las Animas County
LONDON, UK / ACCESS Newswire / April 22, 2025 / Helium One Global (AIM:HE1), the primary helium explorer in Tanzania with a 50% working interest in the Galactica-Pegasus helium development project in Colorado, USA ('the Galactica Project'), provides an update following the Blue Star Helium (ASX:BNL) ('Blue Star') announcement issued today regarding the Galactica Project.
Highlights
Details
The approval, formalized through Resolution MF 2025-001 and made on 15 April 2025, grants Blue Star the authorisation required to construct the Pinon Canyon Plant. This facility will be located at Lot 6 of Section 31, Township 30 South, Range 54 West, 6th PM.
In granting the permit, the Board of County Commissioners specifically found that Blue Star had adequately demonstrated:
This permit approval represents a milestone in the Galactica Project as the Pinon Canyon Plant is a critical path component of the development plans in the region and will allow the project to advance to construction and operational phases.
Galactica/Pegasus Development
The Galactica project forms part of the broader Galactica/Pegasus development, discovered by Blue Star in 2022. This large-scale project offers multiple potential product streams. Blue Star is advancing the Galactica project in joint venture with Helium One Global Ltd. Under the farm-in agreement, Helium One will fund the first US $450,000 of this well.
The third-party owned Red Rocks helium project adjoins Blue Star's Galactica Project (see map below). Development of Red Rocks further supports the commercialisation of the Galactica Project.

Notes to Editors
Helium One Global, the AIM-listed Tanzanian explorer, holds prospecting licences across two distinct project areas, with the potential to become a strategic player in resolving a supply-constrained helium market.
The Rukwa and Eyasi projects are located within rift basins on the margin of the Tanzanian Craton in the north and southwest of the country. These assets lie near surface seeps with helium concentrations ranging up to 10.4% helium by volume. All Helium One's licences are held on a 100% equity basis.
The Company's flagship southern Rukwa Project is located within the southern Rukwa Rift Basin in south-west Tanzania. This project is considered to be entering an appraisal stage following the success of the 2023/24 exploration drilling campaign, which proved a helium discovery at Itumbula West-1 and, following an extended well test, successfully flowed 5.5% helium continually to surface in Q3 2024.
Following the success of the extended well test, the Company flowed significant quantities of helium to surface and filed a Mining Licence ('ML') application with the Tanzania Mining Commission in September 2024. The 480km2 ML has now been offered to the Company and was officially accepted in March 2025.
The Company also owns a 50% working interest in the Galactica-Pegasus helium development project in Las Animas County, Colorado, USA. This project is operated by Blue Star Helium Ltd (ASX: BNL).
Helium One is listed on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange with the ticker of HE1 and on the OTCQB in the United States with the ticker HLOGF.

Endeavour Group exec chair leaves over board disagreements

Endeavour Group's executive chairman Ari Mervis has resigned from the Australian retail, wine and spirits business following a dispute with its board. "Endeavour Group today announces that Mr Ari Mervis has resigned as Executive Chairman effective 3 August 2025, citing disagreements with the board," an announcement on the ASX read today (4 August). Mervis had been promoted to executive chairman in February, following the departure of Endeavour Group's CEO Steve Donohue in March. Duncan Makeig, lead independent director, will take on the interim chair position and manage the search for a new independent chair. The chair position is expected to be filled before the start of next year, Endeavour said. Endeavour's chief financial officer Katie Beattie has also been appointed interim CEO. Jayne Hrdlicka was picked to take the reins as CEO of Endeavour in May. She starts the role in March next year. Group deputy CFO Tali Ross is to become interim CFO of the company. Makeig said: 'Kate has worked closely with the management team to ensure that operational performance and momentum is maintained across our business. We are confident in Kate's ability to continue leading the business as interim CEO through to Jayne's commencement in January.' 'The Board and management are undertaking a strategy refresh which will include a portfolio-wide examination of the Group's performance, key business drivers and execution across Retail, Hotels and the Pinnacle business, with the clear aim of maximising long term shareholder value.' Commenting on Mervis' departure, Makeig added: 'The board acknowledges Ari's service to Endeavour Group, a company we all agree has an irreplaceable asset base and unique opportunities in the future.' In the same announcement, Endeavour also revealed its preliminary estimates for its full-year results for 2025. It expects its full-year sales for 2025 to reach A$12.1bn. The group booked A$12.3bn in sales in 2024. Statutory net profit after tax is anticipated to sit between A$420m and $425m, which would be a dip on last year, where the company saw profit for the period after tax sit at A$512. Endeavour attributed the predicted 2025 figure to "a number of one-off items" in the period, such as "restructuring and redundancy costs and an impairment" linked to shutting its Prowine bottling site in South Australia. Endeavour's final full-year results for 2025 will be published on 25 August. Alcoa Explores Feasibility of Gallium Critical Mineral Production in Western Australia

PERTH, Australia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Today, Alcoa of Australia Limited ('Alcoa'), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Alcoa Corporation (NYSE: AA; ASX AAI; 'the Company'), announced a Joint Development Agreement ('JDA') with Japan Australia Gallium Associates Pty Ltd ('JAGA'), a joint venture between Sojitz Corporation (Sojitz) and Japan Organization for Metals and Energy Security (JOGMEC), to explore the feasibility of a gallium project to be co-located at one of Alcoa's operating alumina refineries in Western Australia. Gallium is a highly sought-after mineral, supporting a wide range of important industries and efforts, including the technology sector, particularly semiconductors, as well as the defense industry. Australia and the United States have both recognized gallium as a critical mineral. Additionally, Japan has identified gallium as one of 35 minerals important to national security. Currently, gallium production is concentrated in China with market controls introduced in 2023 heightening global interest in alternative supply chains. Alcoa of Australia President Elsabe Muller said the JDA partners were assessing the potential for a co-located facility to expand global supply of gallium as an existing by-product of the alumina refining process in Western Australia. 'This opportunity could deliver additional value from our established operations and further demonstrate how Alcoa's longstanding mineral processing capabilities can be significant in supporting state, national and global objectives in technology and national defense,' said Ms. Muller. 'We welcome the opportunity to work with the JAGA partners, including Sojitz, who has considerable connection with midstream gallium refiners and manufacturers and would be an offtake customer in the project.' Sojitz Metals, Resources and Recycling Divisional Chief Operating Officer Osamu Matsuura said the project had the potential to introduce supply options for Japanese semiconductor production critical to global downstream processing and manufacturing. Subject to further commercial agreements and regulatory approvals, the JDA partners are targeting a final investment decision by the end of 2025 and to begin production in 2026. Alcoa's participation in the JDA is not expected to have a material impact on the Company's financial position or results of operations.
