Bleacher Report has 3 Florida Gators going in 2026 NBA first round mock draft
Condon and Haugh were two critical pieces of the frontcourt that helped Florida win a national championship last season, and Fland is one of two big-name transfers brought in to replace the Big 3 backcourt that just got drafted. The goal is to repeat as national champions, and Todd Golden has once again worked the transfer portal to apparent perfection.
If Bleacher Report's projections come to fruition, Florida will see six players drafted in two years after just two over the previous decade.
No. 24 New York Knicks: Alex Condon (Florida, C)
Condon already had first-round projections floating with his name by the time SEC play got going, but a second-half injury slowed him down a bit and made him a fringe first-round pick. After testing the draft waters, Condon is returning as the unquestioned leader of this Gators team. If he continues to develop, he could be the program's second All-American in as many seasons.
"Alex Condon generated first-round buzz this past year with his athletic finishing, defensive activity, passing and shooting flashes," Wasserman said. "He'll return to the defending champs, presumably with a large offensive role that he'll want to use for showing more self-creation and three-point range."
28. Cleveland Cavaliers: Thomas Haugh (Florida, PF)
Haugh could see some time at the three as a bigger wing, especially if he continues shooting from 3-point distance, but Bleacher Report is listing him as a power forward right now. Assuming Haugh steps into a starting role, he'll have to learn to pace himself a bit more, but he was already playing near-starter minutes off the bench in a sixth man role last season.
"Thomas Haugh's 20-point, 11-rebound game against Texas Tech in the NCAA tournament shone a light on his big-man versatility that the NBA covets. The 6'9" forward has clear three-point shooting range as well as more offensive skill to put the ball down, score on the move and pass."
The most exciting thing about Haugh is that he hasn't come close to reaching his full potential. There were flashes in the NCAA Tournament last season, but he was still improving from the Final Four to the championship game. Haugh could be the biggest riser over a calendar year in the draft class if he continues on the same trajectory.
30. Washington Wizards (via Thunder): Boogie Fland (Florida, PG)
Fland also had draft prospects this year after one season with Arkansas. He spent much of the year injured and attempted a return for the playoffs. With the two other Gators already established on the roster, Fland has a chance to break out as the dark horse candidate of this group. He already holds a second-round grade. Playing with Condona and Haugh could help him the same way it helped Walter Clayton Jr."Viewed as a second-round pick just a month ago, Boogie Fland will have a better chance to sell himself next season with Florida. He's in a good spot to focus on playmaking for teammates, though scouts will still want to see more efficiency finishing around the basket. Otherwise, Fland should still look like an appealing change-of-pace guard prospect with translatable creativity and shotmaking."

Fantasy Football: Are we overlooking Tank Bigsby as potential sleeper for Jaguars?
All the talk coming out of Jacksonville Jaguars' training camp is around rookie phenom WR/CB Travis Hunter. But one of the more polarizing running back competitions in the NFL heading into the 2025 season is in Jacksonville. That comp involves Travis Etienne Jr., Tank Bigsby and rookie Bhayshul Tuten. While Etienne came out the gate hot to start his NFL career, he regressed big time last year, paving the way for Bigsby. [Join or create a Yahoo Fantasy Football league for the 2025 NFL season] Yahoo Fantasy football analysts Matt Harmon and Ray Garvin discussed the Jags' running back situation on the latest episode of the "Yahoo Fantasy Forecast" podcast. Subscribe to on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube or wherever you listen. As of this writing, Bigsby's ADP sits at 126th overall in standard Yahoo fantasy football drafts. That would mean he's being drafted at around the 10th round on average in 12-team leagues. Bigsby also sits 105th overall in Yahoo's consensus rankings as well as the RB35 at the position. Ray points out that back in 2023, people believed Bigsby was the best back in a loaded class that featured Jahmyr Gibbs and Bijan Robinson. If Bigsby wins the early-down role for Jacksonville, can he jump up into that class of RB this season? Bigsby surpassed Etienne in pretty much every notable RB stat category last season. Tank finished with 766 rushing yards on 168 carries and seven touchdowns, 4.6 yards per carry. Etienne was more active in the passing game with 39 catches on 52 targets. But he could be relied on less in the passing game now that Hunter is in town. So if Bigsby gets all the early-down work and goal-line carries, it will be tough to trust Etienne. Plus, let's not forget about Tuten. Ray points out that his ADP is getting a little "crazy." So, despite Bigsby's ADP being on the rise, he still presents plenty of value in drafts as a sleeper RB for those looking for a player with major upside.

Knicks Receive Massive Giannis Antetokounmpo Update
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. The New York Knicks appear to be one of the top contenders in the Eastern Conference heading into the 2025-26 NBA season. With the Indiana Pacers dealing with a season-ending injury to Tyrese Haliburton and the Boston Celtics waiting on Jayson Tatum to recovery from his torn Achilles, the Knicks are in a great position. After making a run to the Eastern Conference Finals last season and losing to the Pacers, they could be the favorite. During the offseason, New York made a big move. It decided to part ways with former head coach Tom Thibodeau and replace him with Mike Brown. Read more: Bucks Receive Worrying Giannis Antetokounmpo Update Both of those moves will add quality depth for New York's second unit. However, the team has its eyes set on a much bigger fish. Of course, that fish is current Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo. Over the last year, the Knicks have been constantly mentioned as a potential suitor for Antetokounmpo if he chooses to leave the Bucks. That possibility is still very much alive. On Monday, ESPN NBA insider Shams Charania reported that Antetokounmpo has not decided whether or not he'll stay in Milwaukee. "Sources tell me there's still nothing set in stone about whether Giannis Antetokounmpo will stay in Milwaukee or whether he will be leaving," Charania said. Following that report, a new update was given on New York's interest in the "Greek Freak." That update was shared by James L. Edwards III of The Athletic. "It is my understanding that Leon Rose and company have been monitoring Giannis Antetokounmpo's situation in Milwaukee very closely, even before the offseason started," Edwards wrote. "Many around the league believe the Knicks are interested in star hunting, and while that opportunity hasn't popped up yet, I certainly believe it's in the cards if the right situation presents itself." Read more: Dan Patrick Goes Off on Lakers' Bronny James for Odd Reason If Antetokounmpo does decide that he wants a fresh start away from the Bucks, the Knicks would instantly be a top contender to trade for him. They would have to give up a lot to get him, but he could lead New York back to the NBA Finals. Expect to continue hearing rumors and reports about Antetokounmpo's future. In the meantime, the Knicks will continue watching the situation closely and waiting to pounce if he decides he wants out. What should the Nets focus on heading into the 2025-26 NBA season?
The Brooklyn Nets finished the 2024-25 NBA season with a 26-56 record, ultimately getting them the eighth overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft to begin their latest rebuild. Brooklyn broke the league record by taking five players in the Draft and it seems that the foundation is being laid down. Pundits believe that the Nets should remain focused on the rebuild. ESPN's Tim Bontemps and Kevin Pelton put together a list of which each team in the NBA should be "all-in" on ahead of the 2025-26 season and the Nets were put into the "draft positioning" category. Brooklyn isn't the only team in the tier as they share the category with the Charlotte Hornets, Utah Jazz, and Washington Wizards as all of the teams are understandably focused on the future. "These were four of the NBA's bottom six teams in the standings last season, and they have the four lowest over/under totals for the 2025-26 season at ESPN BET," the ESPN duo wrote when describing why each team was in the category. "Still, all of these teams are probably at least a season away from competing for a playoff spot, and they'd love to add another top pick first." As this relates to the Nets, this statement rings true in the sense that Brooklyn does not yet have a player on the roster that is currently considered to be an All-Star at some point in their career. The Nets will enter the 2025-26 season as one of the youngest teams in the league due to the amount of youth on the roster, but the hope is that guard Egor Demin, who was taken eighth overall by Brooklyn, can realize his potential sooner rather than later. As of this writing, BetMGM gives the Nets an over/under of 20.5 wins over the course of the 2025-26 regular season, meaning that the Las Vegas betting market could be expecting another tough season for Brooklyn. With the 2026 NBA Draft expected to boast premium talent such as AJ Dybantsa and Darryn Peterson, the Nets could be best served to keep the future in the forefront of their mind.
