Egypt's Tatweer Misr will invest 14 billion Egyptian pounds ($280 million) in 2025 as part of its ongoing expansion strategy across the country's key real estate markets, Managing Director Ahmed Shalaby told Zawya Projects.
The private developer expects to generate EGP 35 billion ($700 million) in sales revenue by the end of the year, with projected net profits of EGP 2 billion ($40 million), he said on the sidelines of a media roundtable on Sunday.
Tatweer Misr recorded EGP 6 billion ($120 million) in revenues during the first quarter of 2025, delivering 500 units and investing EGP 3 billion ($60 million) during the period. The delivery target for 2025 is 2,000 units.
Shalaby added that in the first quarter, the company finalised an agreement with the Arab African International Bank and Al Ahly Pharos to launch a securitisation programme valued at EGP 20 billion ($400 million) over five years. The company's first multi-issue issuance will support the acceleration of its real estate projects.

Shalaby said the company is currently studying new investment opportunities in Saudi Arabia and Oman, with plans to announce one new project in 2025 without elaborating. Domestically, Tatweer is exploring potential developments in the North Coast, East Cairo, and West Cairo.
Tatweer Misr is presently developing six projects across East and West Cairo, the North Coast, and Ain Sokhna.
Shalaby also noted that Tatweer Misr is the first real estate company in Egypt to receive the SmartScore Platinum certification from WiredScore for its headquarters at Arkan Plaza in Sheikh Zayed City. The company also holds four ISO certifications, supporting its integrated approach to smart and sustainable development.
Chief Commercial Officer Kareem Radwan introduced the company's newly launched REACH programme, which offers tailored financial solutions and payment plans of up to 15 years. The initiative is aimed at improving customer experience, enhancing project cash flow, and reinforcing the company's network of strategic partners.

How $35bn Al Maktoum International Airport expansion is driving major Dubai South real estate investment boom as property prices tipped to grow 20%

The AED128bn ($35bn) expansion of Al Maktoum International Airport in Dubai South is fuelling a real estate boom that has major implications for the wider UAE economy, according to Betterhomes analysis. Property transactions in the area exceeded AED15bn ($4.1bn) in the first five months of 2025 and prices could increase by up to 20 per cent in the near term said analysts. Spanning 70 sq km, the new Al Maktoum Airport will feature five runways and 400 aircraft gates and is expected to accommodate more than 260m passengers annually upon completion. Al Maktoum International Airport drives Dubai South real estate growth More than just an enhancement to the aviation sector, however, the project is poised to drive growth across real estate, hospitality, and the broader economy. Investor interest in Dubai South is accelerating, driven by competitive pricing, strong rental yields, and ongoing infrastructure development, said Betterhomes. Louis Harding, CEO of Betterhomes, said: 'The development of Al Maktoum Airport is not just a milestone in aviation, but a catalyst for the next chapter of Dubai's real estate growth. We're already seeing the ripple effects in Dubai South. This is the early stage of a long-term growth cycle.' Rental rates have risen 20 per cent year-to-date, with a sharp increase in both off-plan and ready property sales. Betterhomes has also recorded more than 20 per cent monthly growth in buyer and tenant inquiries, while institutional capital is entering the market, most notably a $1bn investment partnership between a major Abu Dhabi-based asset manager and Brookfield. Property prices in Dubai South are forecast to rise by 15–20 per cent in the near term. Infrastructure enhancements, including the Dubai Metro Blue Line and Etihad Rail, will further strengthen demand, and a recent AED1bn ($272m) contract award for the airport's second runway signals continued momentum. Average prices in surrounding areas remain up to 60 per cent lower than in prime districts like Downtown Dubai, offering attractive value. A similar growth pattern was seen following the launch of Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport in 2005, when surrounding areas such as Dubai Marina and Al Barsha experienced substantial appreciation. Between the launch and early 2008, average sale prices had nearly doubled. With demand surging and a long-term development pipeline in motion, the neighbourhood is emerging as one of the UAE's most promising real estate growth corridors. The $35bn terminal expansion is set to create employment and housing opportunities for over one million people, with far-reaching effects across multiple sectors. As job creation increases, population growth is expected to follow, driving greater demand for housing and supporting broader economic development. Surrounding areas are already experiencing a rise in transactions, property prices, rental rates and yields. The aviation sector alone is projected to contribute over 30 per cent to the emirate's GDP by 2030.

Adnoc Gas awards $5bn in contracts for Rich Gas Development project

Abu Dhabi's Adnoc Gas has awarded contracts worth $5 billion for a key project that is part of its major operational expansion and self-sufficiency strategy. The final investment decision is the first of three phases for the Rich Gas Development project, which is expected to boost the company's Ebitda by 40 per cent through 2029, Adnoc Gas said in a statement on Tuesday. Ebitda – or earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation – is a key metric used by companies to measure core profitability. The contracts are part of what Adnoc Gas, a unit of state-owned energy major Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, said is its biggest ever capital investment. They involve boosting key processing units to increase efficiency across its four gas facilities in Asab, Buhasa, onshore Habshan and Das Island, the company said. The engineering, procurement and construction management contracts were awarded in three tranches: Scotland-based professional services firm Wood secured $2.8 billion for Habshan, while a consortia of London-based Petrofac and Dubai's Kent received $1.2 billion and $1.1 billion for Das Island, and Asab and Buhasa, respectively. Adnoc Gas first hinted in November that it would make the investment decision for the Rich Gas Development project in 2025. A decision for another major project, the Bab Gas Cap development, is expected in 2026. The Rich Gas Development project will help develop new gas reservoirs, which in turn, would increase liquid gas exports, support the UAE's gas self-sufficiency agenda and provide feedstock to the country's growing petrochemical industry, the company said. The first phase of the project will focus on optimising and removing bottlenecks in existing Adnoc Gas assets while unlocking new and valuable gas streams, in addition to future-proofing its business. The company plans to decide on the next two phases of the project at Habshan and Ruwais to 'enable the delivery of greater production capacity to meet growing market demands', but did not give a timeline. The investment in the Rich Gas Development project marks a 'significant milestone' for the company, Fatema Al Nuaimi, chief executive of Adnoc Gas, said in the statement. 'This strategic investment is expected to deliver significant new value for our shareholders and enable continued sustainable growth for the company, our employees and the UAE,' she added. Adnoc Gas, which has access to 95 per cent of the UAE's natural gas reserves, is looking to boost exports of products such as liquefied natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas and naphtha. Its customers in the Emirates include utilities and industrial companies, which are supplied commercial quantities through an extensive network of pipelines. Adnoc Gas, alongside other Adnoc units, has been boosting investments to expand its geographical and operational reach. In May, the company reported a 7 per cent year-on-year increase in net income to $1.27 billion, driven by strong domestic demand for gas and continued economic growth in the UAE, the Arab world's second-largest economy. Adnoc Gas is also eligible for potential inclusion in the Morgan Stanley Capital International and Financial Times Stock Exchange emerging market indexes as early as June and September respectively, it said. Adnoc sold part of its stake in the subsidiary to institutional investors as it looks to improve liquidity and raise capital. The recently completed offering of 3.1 billion shares in Adnoc Gas increased the free float by 4 per cent to 9 per cent.
