Last chance for Tom Jones tickets at Cardiff Castle this week
The 84 year old Welsh legend will be hitting Cardiff Castle's park on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, and Thursday, August 21, 2025 - just before the country's final bank holiday weekend. Here, he'll undoubtedly perform some of his greatest hits spanning the decades, including Sexbomb, What's New Pussycat?, She's A Lady, It's Not Unusual and many more.
Tickets for these performances were initially released earlier this year, but many were snapped up in record time. Consequently, numerous fans have turned to resale platforms to secure their tickets instead, with many currently available on viagogo.
These tickets give fans the chance to buy last-minute tickets just days before the shows kick off. Here's the breakdown.
Viagogo and resale tickets
Sites such as viagogo, Stubhub, and Vivid Seats allow fans to buy resale tickets from other fans. However, it is important to note that ticket conditions often prohibit resale after initial purchase. Those tickets may not be valid for admittance to gigs.
Fans intending to buy tickets for live events through resale websites should check the ticket terms and conditions, to confirm whether resale is prohibited, before they buy. Ticket terms and conditions can be checked with the original seller, such as Ticketmaster or Live Nation. If resale is prohibited, tickets bought second-hand could be voided and admission to the event refused.
How to buy Tom Jones tickets now
Tom Jones tickets are available now. The below list of ticket sellers features various websites, encompassing both resale and official retailers.
This list include the likes of viagogo, Vivid Seats, StubHub and Ticketmaster. These resale websites offer fans the unique chance to secure tickets to concerts they may have otherwise missed.
There are also numerous benefits to using these platforms, as well. On top of being able to buy and sell tickets on a whim, fans can search for tickets in their budget, while also ensuring they grab the seats or standing tickets they desire.
At the time of writing, some tickets are being sold for significantly less than £150 each. Here are the links for Tom Jones resale tickets:
STUBHUB - Buy Tom Jones tickets now.
Alternatively, for those fans who prefer to only purchase from Ticketmaster, they might be disappointed. Many of them - if not all of them - have been sold out.
However, it's always worth checking to see what options are available. Here's the link:
Tom Jones himself has expressed his enthusiasm about the upcoming concerts. Tom Jones remarked: "I love Cardiff and am really looking forward to playing in this beautiful park. The three shows I played at the castle in 2023 were absolutely fantastic, and I'm sure this will be the same - a great summer evening for everyone."

The Last Laugh is a brilliant comedy with a moving twist and added extra
The Last Laugh is a brilliant comedy with a moving twist and added extra Bringing Welsh legend Tommy Cooper to life The Last Laugh at the Wales Millennium Centre had me hysterics The Last Laugh is showing in the Wales Millennium Centre (Image: Steph Colderick) I have never been to the theatre to see a full comedy performance before, especially one that doesn't have a plot, so I was not sure what to expect when I sat down at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff Bay to watch The Last Laugh. Featuring a portrayal of Welsh legend Tommy Cooper, Eric Morecambe, and Bob Monkhouse, this theatre production had me in stitches. It very accurately portrays the three British comedy legends who hold a very soft spot in the public's heart. There were rapid jokes, quick gags, and sarcasm galore which kept the audience entertained. With a run time of 90 minutes it was the perfect time to sit down, have a giggle and not get lost in the production. Bob Golding as Eric Morecambe was a standout; he nailed the character and was the comedian I personally found the funniest to watch and enjoy. What surprised me most about the production was the moving twist. While packed with jokes, the comedy also touched on very serious matters, like divorce, suicide, and what life is really like as a comedian who is on the road. This is all done very delicately, still with humour, and adds an extra depth and sentiment to the performance. It was not something I was expecting from the comedy, but it added to the show and showed the talented skills of the actors. The added extra was that the cast, Bob Golding as Eric Morecambe, Damian Williams as Tommy Cooper, and Simon Cartwright as Bob Monkhouse, did a question-and-answer session at the end of the performance. I have never been to a theatre production that has done that before, so it was really interesting to get an insight into the men behind the characters and learn about the comedians in a fun, interactive, and historical way. Article continues below Overall, if you love Eric Morecambe, Tommy Cooper, or Bob Monkhouse, I would highly recommend going to see The Last Laugh. It is fun, light-hearted, entertaining, and you get a lot for the price of your ticket.

Update issued on Cardiff transport strikes ahead of busy gig weekend
Update issued on Cardiff transport strikes ahead of busy gig weekend The strike action would have come at a time of several high-profile events in the city Strike action that would have seen hundreds of city bus drivers walk out has now been suspended as the result of a revised pay offer. The industrial action in Cardiff was supposed to take place from August 17 and was due to run for three weeks, ending on Sunday, September 7. The strike actionby 450 Unite members working for Cardiff Bus was due to an ongoing dispute over pay conditions. The bus service is the primary bus provider for the Welsh capital and its surrounding areas like Barry and Penarth. If it went forward the industrial action would have fallen on days of major events in the city like gigs by Tom Jones, Will Smith, and Basement Jaxx at Cardiff Castle. Working conditions were also a major bone of contention among union members as Unite alleged that timetabling issues left workers unable to take proper breaks and staff often faced long walking times to reach the break facilities. In a previous update, Cardiff Bus had said it had offered to raise the pay rates by 5.86% but union members had rejected the offer as it left drivers below levels in the rest of the UK. Never miss a Cardiff story by signing up to our daily newsletter here. However Cardiff Bus bosses have confirmed the strike action has been postponed after a revised pay offer was put forward. Unite will now be holding another ballot on the revised proposal, which will take place from August 15 to August 29. The union has confirmed all strike dates are currently on hold as the bus company has now put forth an "improved pay offer" to its members and has also proposed changes to working conditions. These changes include longer breaks and improved sickness terms. Unite regional secretary Peter Hughes said: "Cardiff Bus has returned to negotiations and put an improved offer on the table. "Unite has therefore suspended strike action to allow members to be balloted on the proposals." Bosses at Cardiff Bus are now urging workers taking part in the ballot to accept their revised pay offer. Craig Hampton-Stone, managing director of Cardiff Bus, said: "We were pleased to hear of the suspension of the planned industrial action from Sunday to allow for another workplace ballot to be undertaken. "I would urge all taking part in the ballot to accept the latest revised offer." Cardiff Bus has confirmed that its usual services will continue. Article continues below In a reminder to customers the bus service added that its usual Sunday timetables will be in operation for the bank holiday on Monday, August 25.
