ICOM Dubai 2025 Launches Participation Grant Programme to Empower Voices from the MEASA Region - Middle East Business News and Information

Dubai, United Arab Emirates: The Organising Committee of ICOM Dubai 2025, in partnership with ICOM UAE, has launched its Grant Programme for the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia (MEASA) region, reaffirming its commitment to inclusion and accessibility ahead of the 27th ICOM General Conference this November in Dubai.
To ensure diverse regional representation, 140 grants will be awarded — 70 for in-person participation covering travel, accommodation, visa fees, and full admission, and 70 for complimentary digital access. The programme is open to museum professionals, students, and cultural practitioners from or contributing to the MEASA region, particularly those aligned with the conference's pillars: intangible heritage, youth power, and new technologies.
Applications can be submitted via the official ICOM Dubai 2025 website and must be received by 31 May 2025.
Her Excellency Hala Badri, Director General of Dubai Culture and Chairperson of ICOM Dubai 2025 Organising Committee, said: 'At ICOM Dubai 2025, we are nurturing a legacy built on inclusion, opportunity, and shared purpose. • ADNOC announced as Presenting Sponsor of Open Masters Games Abu Dhabi 2026 Abu Dhabi, UAE – His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Developmental and Martyrs' Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Organising Committee for the Open Masters Games Abu Dhabi 2026, witnessed the signing of a sponsorship agreement between The Open Masters Games Abu Dhabi 2026 and ADNOC. Under the agreement, ADNOC will become the official Presenting Sponsor of the first-ever edition of the Open Masters Games to be held in the Middle East. The agreement was signed in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and Managing Director and Group CEO of ADNOC, and His Excellency Mohammed Al Junaibi, Vice Chairman of the Open Masters Abu Dhabi 2026 Organising Committee. The signatories were His Excellency Aref Hamad Al Awani, General Secretary of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and Saif Al Falahi, ADNOC, Director of Group Business Support and Special Tasks. Senior officials from both parties and prominent local athletes were also in attendance. Furthermore, the event featured the official unveiling of the Abu Dhabi 2026 Games logo, which is inspired by the UAE's diverse natural landscape, and the Games' ethos of healthy living and community values. Furthermore, the ceremony underscored the leadership's long-term commitment to fostering social cohesion and pursuing active lifestyles, while positioning the UAE as a global hub for longevity and sport. H.E. Aref Hamad Al Awani, said: 'We are delighted to welcome ADNOC as the Presenting Sponsor of the Open Masters Games Abu Dhabi 2026. The Open Masters Games will take place in the UAE in February 2026 and are expected to welcome more than 25,000 participants from around the world. The Games will feature 33 sports across multiple disciplines and age categories, including the senior Emirati population, providing an inclusive and memorable experience for all. In a unique celebration of the UAE's heritage, the Games will also feature traditional Emirati sports, including dhow sailing, falconry, and camel racing, in addition to 18 disciplines that will be open to all people of determination. The Open Masters Games Abu Dhabi 2026 aims to go beyond sport, serving as a platform to enhance physical and mental well-being, encourage participation, and strengthen intergenerational bonds. CAIRO - 27 May 2025: Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr Abdel Atty met on Monday with members of the European Parliament's Committee on Relations with the Mashreq Countries, chaired by MEP Laurent Castillo. Abdel Atty said Egypt is keen on working with all EU institutions, including the European Parliament, to support the Egyptian-EU partnership, which has been upgraded to a comprehensive strategic partnership. He highlighted the constructive political and economic relations with the European Union, reviewing the economic challenges facing Egypt as a result of developments in the region and the Red Sea.
