Worst All-Star Weekend EVER!? NBA, TNT, LeBron & Kevin Hart TORCHED by KOC!

Yahoo17-02-2025
Kevin O'Connor spared no one from a total evisceration of the NBA All-Star Weekend, especially the new Sunday night game format. Why did TNT make the night more about themselves than the players? How did Commissioner Adam Silver allow an All-Star Weekend in San Francisco without Steph Curry in the 3-point contest? How is Kevin supposed to be excited about a "G-Leaguer" that "only uses props" in the Slam Dunk contest? KOC loves LeBron but says he's to blame as well for pulling out of the All-Star Game last-minute! EVERYTHING All-Star is a mess according to Kevin and Dan Titus. The guys also break down the several weird sound bytes from Draymond Green, including he and Jimmy Butler both being "alpha" personalities, Dray's prediction that the Warriors will win the title THIS season, and Green allegedly "turning down" the Warriors' Head Coaching position in the future once Steve Kerr retires.

Steph Curry earns top-10 player rating in new NBA 2K26

With the rollout for the new edition of NBA 2K underway, the video game franchise has been releasing the highly-anticipated player rankings for the upcoming game. Before the game's release on September 5, 2K has ranked the top-100 player ratings for 2K26. Two members of the Golden State Warriors have been featured in the rankings prior to the top-10 being released. Both Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green have earned spots in the top-100. The latest member of the Warriors to join the top-100 is Stephen Curry. The star point guard cracked the top-10 with a 94 overall rating, good enough for the No. 6 overall ranking in the 2K26 edition of the video game. San Antonio's Victor Wembanyama, Boston's Jayson Tatum and Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James all earned 94 ratings, but came in after Curry on the rankings. Minnesota's Anthony Edwards and Lakers guard Luka Doncic were listed with 95 ratings, edging out Curry in the top-10. Curry's 94 overall rating is his lowest rating since NBA 2K18. Curry has earned a 95 rating over the last two versions of the game. This post originally appeared on Warriors Wire! Follow us on Facebook and Twitter!

Phillies' $300 Million All-Star Sends 3-Word Message Amid Hot Stretch

Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. The Philadelphia Phillies signed Trea Turner to a $300 million deal before the 2023 season. He started off slow, but ended up finishing his first year off strong. He was an All-Star last season, but was snubbed this year. Despite Turner's All-Star snub, he has been one of the best players in the league this year. He is hitting .295 and leads the National League in hits with 151, entering play on Thursday. Turner had a slight slump in July, but still hit .268. He has a .914 OPS this month and is hitting .333. He has 21 hits in his last seven games, which is the most by a Phillies player since 1930, per The Athletic's Matt Gelb. PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA - AUGUST 20: Trea Turner #7 of the Philadelphia Phillies celebrates with Bryson Stott #5 after scoring a run in the bottom of the seventh inning against the Seattle Mariners at Citizens Bank... PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA - AUGUST 20: Trea Turner #7 of the Philadelphia Phillies celebrates with Bryson Stott #5 after scoring a run in the bottom of the seventh inning against the Seattle Mariners at Citizens Bank Park on August 20, 2025 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Phillies defeated the Mariners 11-2. More"Consistency is nice," Turner said of his hit stretch, per Gelb. Turner was one of many Phillies players who had a case to be named an All-Star. However, he has responded by continuing to help his team win. The Phillies entered Thursday with the second-best record in the National League and the third-best record in all of baseball. It's hard to imagine them being in this position without Turner. Turner's OPS is down slightly from last season, but he still has a 116 OPS+. He has already led baseball in hits twice in his career, and could do so again this year as well. He is a three-time All-Star, Silver Slugger, batting champion and World Series champion. He is now trying to help lead the Phillies to the Fall Classic. More MLB: Christian Yelich's Reaction as Brewers Fall to Cubs Again: 'Who Cares?'
