Tyson Fury's next fight options including Anthony Joshua grudge match
The former two-time heavyweight champion has hinted at a return to the ring despite calling it quits after back-to-back losses to Oleksandr Usyk Tyson Fury has plenty of options on the table should the former two-time heavyweight champion make a retirement U-turn. Back in January, the 36-year-old shocked the world after officially calling it a day. "Hi everybody, I'm going to make this short and sweet," he said in a video uploaded to social media. "I'd like to announce my retirement from boxing. It's been a blast, I've loved every single minute of it. I'm going to end with this. Dick Turpin wore a mask. God bless everybody, see you on the other side. Get up!" His announcement came just weeks after losing to long-time rival Oleksandr Usyk for a second time. Over the last few weeks, though, the 'Gypsy King' has hinted at a return to the ring. Recently, the Brit he uploaded a short video in the gym alongside trainer SugarHill Steward. Fury, 36, who was sweating slightly after potentially wrapping up a workout said: "Just in the gym, happened to bump into somebody you might know." He then shifted the camera towards the direction of an energetic and happy SugarHill - who replied: "You know what time it is!" The 'Gypsy King' had the last say before ending the story: "You know what's coming," he said - seemingly teasing a return to the ring. Despite back-to-back defeats to the Ukrainian, the Brit has several fight options on the table should he make a stunning comeback - including a stunning trilogy fight with Usyk. Back in April, Fury revealed he was ready for a third fight with the 'Cat.' The Ukrainian has said that he will have one more fight after taking on Daniel Dubois next month, with plenty of fight fans hoping to see him in the ring with Fury one more time. Speaking to The Stomping Ground, Usyk was asked about fighting Fury again and said: "Maybe it's Tyson Fury. Maybe it's Anthony Joshua." He then added on Fury: "He's not retired. I think Tyson will continue training, continue boxing, because he's a great man. Yes, Tyson Fury... a lot of speak - blah blah blah blah - but it's good. Great man, wow." Responding to an Instagram post of the interview, Fury wrote: "Beat the f***er 2 times the world knows the truth. Any time, any place. sucher (sic) UK next time 100k people." Another fight that could be on the cards is an all-British showdown with Anthony Joshua. Following Fury's defeat to the Usyk in December, many had hoped to see the 'Gypsy King' and Joshua go head-to-head this year. Joshua has not fought since suffering a knockout defeat to Dubois last September. The 35-year-old is aiming to return to competitive boxing before the end of the year, following elbow surgery. Eddie Hearn - Joshua's promoter - recently confirmed that 'AJ' is in discussions with Saudi boxing supremo Turki Alalshikh over a new multiple fight deal. Joshua has not given up hope of finally realising a bout with Fury. The Brit is not convinced that his rival's retirement is final and appears confident that a fight could still materialise. The British pair agreed a two-bout deal in 2020 but saw plans scuppered when it was ruled Fury had to permit Deontay Wilder a trilogy fight. In a recent post uploaded to Snapchat, Joshua shared an image of himself watching Fury fight, saying: "One of these days I'll be standing in the opposite corner. Ready and fully charged spiritually." Hearn himself is still holding out hope that Fury will make a retirement U-turn and fight his star client. The Boxing promoter told DAZN: "It's probably three fights away. For me, if I'm advising AJ, we're back this year, we have two Tyson Fury fights, what else is there to do? Maybe fight a Daniel Dubois, but for me once AJ fights Tyson Fury, he's kind of done it all. I'd love him to have another crack at Daniel Dubois and I'd love him to have another crack at Usyk but you just keep going on and on and on. Now, if we get to next year and he's still firing on all cylinders then 2026 won't be his last year. But for me, something feels right about coming back this year, beating Tyson Fury twice and then sailing off into the sunset."

The 26-year-old made quite the name for himself ahead of last year's Soccer Aid match at Stamford Bridge after revealing a brutal promise Tommy Fury jokingly promised to break boxing promoter Eddie Hearn 's legs ahead of last year's Soccer Aid charity match. The undefeated professional boxer swapped his gloves for boots last year to represent the Rest of the World XI in the charity football game at Chelsea's Stamford Bridge. After revealing that he had been preparing for the match, needless to say that he did not live up to the hype. Fury, 26, did not look comfortable on the pitch and had his fair share of blunders during his second-half cameo. At one point, 'TNT' completely missed the ball after attempting to smash it up the pitch. It did not get much better for the Brit. His most embarrassing moment came when he took an underarm throw-in - which prompted World XI coaches Mauricio Pochettino and Robbie Keane to burst into hysterics in the dugout. On the opposing team was boxing promoter Hearn - who acted as a target man throughout his cameo. Ahead of the match, Fury had vowed to slide tackle the 46-year-old. "If I see him (Hearn), I am going to slide tackle him. I will put putting him out of business... he will be making no more big deals for a while." He later added:'Training's been going amazingly, the World team is in great form and in good spirits. There's always nerves and anxiety but I think we've got another win in the bag. I'll probably slide tackle Eddie Hearn for Tyson! If I get a goal I'll be doing a celebration for Bambi. Molly will be there cheering me on but Bambi will be cheering for me in her dreams as her bedtime is 6:45pm. ":The game will be really different to my boxing where all the pressure is on me to win, I've come to training and had a great time in the team. Everyone's here having fun and it's for a great cause, it's probably my favourite four days of the year.' In the end, thankfully, there were no major injuries on the pitch. Fury may have become a meme off the back of his Soccer Aid performance but at least it was all for a good cause. The event raised over £15m for Children's Investment Fund Foundation UNICEF. While 'TNT' won't be making an appearance this year, his older brother Tyson will be. The former two-time heavyweight world champion is set to co-manage the England team alongside former Manchester United forward Wayne Rooney. 'ENGLAND MANAGER! Who would ever have thought it!? I have had some big fights in my career and the prospect of leading my England team to victory this June fills me with just as much excitement as any heavyweight fight," said Fury. "Everyone knows that I am a huge Manchester United fan too, so it's even more special for me that the game is at Old Trafford this year – and I get to manage one of my heroes, Wayne Rooney! How can we lose!? The work UNICEF does all around the world is so special and so important. I really hope that you can come along and support us this summer.' This year's Soccer Aid will take place on Sunday evening at Old Trafford - home of Manchester United - with England will be looking to retain their title. Tommy Fury forgot basic football rule during Soccer Aid - 'Worst I've seen'
With Tyson Fury set to feature at this year's Soccer Aid - he will be hoping not to embarrass himself on the field, unlike his younger brother Tommy Fury was brutally mocked after the Brit attempted an underarm throw-in during last year's Soccer Aid charity match. The professional boxer and reality TV star was part of a World XI managed by ex-Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino at Stamford Bridge. The exhibition match - which helped raise more than £15million for Unicef - went the way of opponents England in a nine-goal thriller. However, the most viral moment came at 2-2. Fury, 26, shaped to take an orthodox throw-in before opting for the underarm delivery. Play was stopped moments later - with the boxer allowing a team-mate to take the throw as they were supposed to. The cameras quickly cut to Pochettino after the incident. Rather than remaining focused on the task at hand, the 53-year-old burst out laughing while gesturing towards the field of play. Needless to say that was probably as good as it got for Fury - who struggled to make an impact on the pitch. At one point, he completely missed the ball after attempting to smash it up the pitch. "It's a throw in Tommy, not bowling," one social media user wrote after watching the footage. "Hasn't been the same since the Jake Paul fight," joked another, referring to Fury's split decision victory over the YouTuber when the pair met in the boxing ring in 2023. His rival KSI quickly posted: " Tommy Fury should stick to boxing lmao, he's terrible at football," he tweeted. Another user posted: "Tommy Fury might be the worst footballer I've ever seen live." Another tweeted: "Tommy Fury is absolutely a** as footballer." A fifth fan commented: "I don't know if this makes sense but Tommy Fury plays football exactly how you'd imagine a boxer how to play football." A sixth joked: "I've had Soccer Aid on for two minutes & Tommy Fury could be the worst footballer I've ever seen." Another said: "Is Tommy fury the least coordinated man in all of human history?" Fury's partner Molly-Mae Hague was also quick to share her thoughts Fury's comical underarm throw-in. She very much saw the funny side of it as she took to her Instagram story to write: "Iconcic x," alongside a picture of Fury holding the ball. Despite being born and raised in Manchester, 'TNT' chose to play for the Rest of the World, as he was eligible through his mother Chantal, who is of Mauritian descent.
