Three celeb-owned Caribbean cribs you can rent for your next vacation

New York Post21 hours ago

Leonardo DiCaprio pays property taxes on a 104-acre island off the coast of Belize. Johnny Depp's real estate portfolio includes a 45-acre island in the Bahamas. And not to be outdone, illusionist David Copperfield has his own archipelago called Copperfield Bay. Rihanna has a palatial pad in her native Barbados. Mick Jagger's Mustique retreat has hosted rock royalty for decades, and Oprah Winfrey escapes to her estate in Antigua when she needs a break from Montecito.
And those are just a few of the VIPs who own a slice of the Caribbean. Best of all, some of them are up for rent for your next vacation.
From a jungle retreat in Jamaica to a supermodel-friendly sanctuary in Turks & Caicos, here are the three coolest celeb-owned vacation homes you can book right now.
Diplo's jungle retreat

Grammy-winning DJ and producer Diplo spent seven years building his private paradise, Pompey, in Port Antonio, Jamaica. The result is a jungle hideaway that blends natural elements with high-design aesthetics — plus a professional recording studio that has already birthed over 100 songs.
'Half of your studio time should be taking a break anyway,' Diplo tells the Post, explaining why the space includes a polycade and ping pong table made of reclaimed wood from Mexico. So far, the studio has drawn an eclectic mix of artists — both paying guests and friends of Diplo. His neighbor Grace Jones recently stopped by at 3 a.m. to record what he describes as a 'wild song that will never be heard.'

As much as he loves his studio, Diplo's favorite room is the library where he likes to watch old movies with his son. It features a full glass wall overlooking the jungle, a massive analog music collection featuring 3,000 records, and several rare art pieces.
Pompey opened to the public last year — starting at $100,000 per week — with a perk unlike any other rental in the world: it keeps guests happy with some of the island's finest organically grown ganja, sourced from farmers in Port Antonio.

But the focal point of the property is the outdoor dining area. It's the best place to take in the estate's surroundings — including a British cannon sourced from an antique shop in Kingston.

The only downside of Pompey is it's not entirely private. You'll have to share the property with Diplo's four horses, a donkey, a milking cow, and goats. He says sheep and chickens will be arriving soon.
As for Pompey's availability, Diplo says he usually is only there in the fall. That said,
February is his favorite time to visit: 'It's not too warm or rainy and the days are still long enough to get everything done.'
Branson's eco-escape
7 Forget Necker, Sir Richard Branson has an even more exclusive BVI hideaway.

Sir Richard Branson may call Necker Island his primary home in the British Virgin Islands. But when the billionaire business magnate wants something even more exclusive, he retreats to the Branson Beach Estate on neighboring Moskito Island. The estate, which accommodates up to 22 guests across three villas, is perched on a dramatic outcrop with sweeping sea views. Each of the villas, connected by treetop walkways, have their own personality.

'It's extremely hard to pick a favorite,' Branson said. 'All three are unique, from the interiors to the views.'
But Headland House is where he and his wife Joan usually stay when they visit two to three times per year. 'My kids Holly and Sam prefer the other two villas, which are nearer to the beach,' he adds.
7 Get bitten, er, smitten with Moskito Island's villas for $20,000 a night.
The Branson Estate
7 The estate offers direct ocean access, rocky as it may be at places.
The Branson Estate
New in 2025, guests can book individual villas (from $20,000 per night) instead of renting the entire estate (from $51,000 per night), making it more accessible for smaller groups.
Branson is also ramping up his efforts to be more eco-conscious. For example, the estate employs a high-efficiency glass recycling machine to turn glass bottles into sand for the island's beaches.
The estate offers private pickleball courts, direct ocean access (unlike the other properties on Moskito Island), and personal water sports instructors.
Who does Branson hope to share his home with? 'Anyone who loves having fun, doing activities like tennis, kite-surfing, hiking, pickleball, a bit of partying and relaxing too.'
Brinkley's sanctuary

7 Christie Brinkley soaks in the serenity in Turks and Caicos.
Sean T. Smith
For nearly two decades, Christie Brinkley has owned Lucky House, a three-bedroom beachfront estate at COMO Parrot Cay, the ultra-exclusive private island resort in Turks and Caicos.
The supermodel even celebrated her 70th birthday here last year. Built in 2003 and available to rent since 2004, Lucky House offers a newly upgraded outdoor deck and pool area, blending seamlessly into the surrounding pristine sands.
The home is available year-round for $12,000 to $18,000 per night, pending Brinkley's approval.

But Brinkley isn't the only A-lister with a rentable retreat at COMO Parrot Cay. Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards is happy to share his three-bedroom Rocky Point Villa, which comes with a private infinity pool and an outdoor gazebo.
Fashion mogul Donna Karan's two-story residence, The Sanctuary, rents for $18,000 to $25,000 per night.
All rentals at COMO Parrot Cay come with a private butler and access to the resort's world-class spa and private beaches.

Eric Dane Broke Down Over ALS Diagnosis

In April, Grey's Anatomy and Euphoria star Eric Dane announced that he's been diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, saying in a statement to People: 'I have been diagnosed with ALS. I am grateful to have my loving family by my side as we navigate this next chapter.' For context, Eric is 52 and shares two teenage daughters, Billie Beatrice and Georgia Geraldine, with his wife, Rebecca Gayheart. Rebecca filed for divorce from Eric in 2018, although in March — a month before his ALS diagnosis was made public — she requested to dismiss her petition. ALS, which is sometimes referred to as Lou Gehrig's disease or motor neurone disease, is a rare neurodegenerative illness that impacts nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, causing progressive paralysis of the muscles. The disease — for which there is currently no cure — causes people to gradually lose the ability to walk, speak, eat, and breathe independently, although it notably does not impact a person's thinking ability. The life expectancy after a person is diagnosed with ALS can vary between cases; however, according to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, most people with the disease are expected to live for three to five years after diagnosis. That said, everyone's experience with ALS is unique, and some people go on to live for decades. When announcing his diagnosis, Eric expressed gratitude that he's currently in a position to continue working, saying that he's 'looking forward to returning to the set of Euphoria,' which is currently shooting its long-awaited third season. Eric stars in the Emmy-winning HBO series as Cal Jacobs, the father of Nate Jacobs, who is played by Jacob Elordi. Now, in a teaser for an upcoming interview with Diane Sawyer for Good Morning America, the actor has given an emotional update on his situation, saying: 'I wake up every day and I'm immediately reminded that this is happening. It's not a dream.' At one point in the 30-second teaser, Eric and Diane hold hands as he looks visibly emotional. 'I don't think this is the end of my story. I don't feel like this is the end of me,' he says. Towards the end of the clip, while presumably discussing the immediate aftermath of his diagnosis, Diane asks who the first person was that he called, prompting Eric to break down in tears. The GMA segment — which airs on Monday — marks Eric's first TV interview since his diagnosis. It comes after he spoke with Variety about the future of his career, saying he feels 'pretty capable' as far as acting is concerned. 'With real respect, I really don't want to talk about it. I made the announcement. That's what's going on with me; it's very personal to me,' he said when asked about his diagnosis. 'I am ready and willing to do just about anything, but I have limitations that I understand will preclude me from playing certain roles. I'm working on Euphoria. I finished Countdown. As far as that goes, I'm pretty capable.'

Italian teenager Carlo Acutis to become first millennial saint on September 7

The canonization of Carlo Acutis, the Catholic Church's first millennial saint, will take place on September 7, Pope Leo XIV has announced. Acutis, an Italian teenager who died from leukemia in 2006, will be declared a saint by Leo at a ceremony in St. Peter's Square expected to be attended by thousands of young people. Acutis was just 15 when he died, but during his short life he used his computing skills to spread awareness of the Catholic faith by setting up a website that documented reports of miracles. The Vatican said on Friday that following a meeting with cardinals Pope Leo will canonize Acutis in September, along with another youthful saint, Pier Giorgio Frassatti, who died in 1925 at age 24. Acutis' canonization had been scheduled for April 27 but was postponed after the death of Pope Francis. The September 7 ceremony will be the first canonization presided over by Pope Leo, the first American pontiff. Acutis, nicknamed God's influencer, has developed a strong following among young Catholics and beyond. The British-born Italian teenager, who loved video-gaming, is often depicted wearing jeans and trainers, making him a relatable figure to a new generation of Catholics. His canonization also comes as recent surveys in the United Kingdom and United States show a rise in interest in Catholicism among Generation Z. The church's sainthood process normally requires that candidates have two miracles attributed to them, with each reported supernatural occurrence requiring in-depth examination. In May, a second miracle attributed to Acutis was recognized by Pope Francis, a decision that paved the way for the teen to be declared a saint. Acutis was beatified (declared 'blessed') in 2020 after his first miracle, when he reportedly healed a Brazilian boy with a birth defect that left him unable to eat normally. The boy was reportedly healed after his mother said she prayed to Acutis to intercede and help heal her son. The second miracle attributed to Acutis relates to the reported healing of a girl from Costa Rica who had suffered a head trauma after falling from her bicycle in Florence, Italy, where she was studying. Her mother said she prayed for her daughter's recovery at the tomb of Acutis in Assisi. Acutis' mother, Antonia Salzano, previously told CNN that her son spent time helping the homeless in Milan and giving his pocket money to those sleeping on the street.
