Reports: Dodgers retain utility man Enrique Hernandez
February 10 - The Dodgers and clubhouse favorite Enrique Hernandez agreed to a deal that will keep the veteran utility player in Los Angeles, multiple sources reported Sunday.
The Dodgers have not confirmed the deal, which is pending a physical, though Hernandez announced his return to the team in a TikTok video.
Hernandez, 33, had been with Los Angeles since the Dodgers acquired him in a 2023 trade with Boston.
He batted just .229 for Los Angeles last season but stepped up in the playoffs, hitting .294 with two home runs and six RBIs over 14 games to help the Dodgers win the World Series.
A versatile defensive option for manager Dave Roberts, Hernandez is expected to play mostly second base or center field.
Los Angeles had already retained Hernandez three times prior to Sunday's reported deal, twice via trade and once on a free agent contract.
He played for the Dodgers from 2015 to 2020 before spending the next two-plus seasons with the Red Sox.
Over 11 major league seasons, Hernandez has hit .238 with 120 home runs and 435 RBIs.

Cardinals hold down Dodgers again, win in ninth inning 2-1
June 7 - Pinch-hitter Nolan Arenado hit a game-ending RBI single in the bottom of the ninth inning to lift the St. Louis Cardinals to a 2-1 victory over the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers on Saturday. With runners on first and third and nobody out in the ninth, the Dodgers deployed a five-man infield, leaving just two outfielders. Arenado lifted a long fly ball into the left field corner against right-hander Ben Casparius. Cardinals starter Erick Fedde blanked the Dodgers for 5 1/3 innings while allowing four hits and four walks and striking out two St. Louis relievers Steven Matz and Kyle Leahy extended the shutout through the eighth inning. Ryan Helsley (3-0) allowed a run in the ninth inning on a wild pitch for a blown save but earned the win on Arenado's hit. Dodgers starter Yoshinobu Yamamoto went six scoreless innings. Allowing four hits while striking out nine and walking two. Casparius (4-1) took over in the eighth and gave up five hits in one-plus innings. Los Angeles went 0-for-12 with runners in scoring position, leaving them 1-for-25 with RISP in their two losses in St. Louis. The lone hit Friday did not bring home a run. The Dodgers had multiple scoring chances. In the fifth inning, Hyeseong Kim had a leadoff single and stole second base, but Fedde retired Shohei Othani, Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman on a line out and two ground outs. In the seventh. Kim and Betts had singled before Freeman hit into a double play to end that threat. The Cardinals took a 1-0 lead in the eighth. Masyn Winn and Brendan Donovan hit one-out singles, then Winn scored after Alec Burleson's beat out an infield single. The Dodgers tied the game 1-0 in the ninth. Ohtani singled, moved to third on Betts' single and scored on a wild pitch as Freeman struck out. Gorman hit a leadoff double in the bottom of the ninth. Pages bunted pinch-runner Jose Barrero to third and reached on an error. That led to Arenado's heroics on a hit into the left-field corner. --Field Level Media

Stephen Bunting storms to Nordic Darts Masters to deny Rob Cross a £30,000 jackpot
STEPHEN BUNTING stormed to the Nordic Masters Darts title - as he denied Rob Cross a particularly handy £30,000. Cross has been banned as a company director for five years after his firm failed to pay more than £450,000 in tax. 2 2 And Voltage looked on course to one better than his runners-up spot last year when he led the Bullet 3-2 in the final. But Bunting hit a purple patch on the way to an 8-4 triumph. Both finalists hailed the raucous Copenhagen crowd. But fittingly, it was fans' favourite Bunting who came on stronger to land his second World Series crown of 2025. The Bullet had beaten Jonny Clayton in the quarter-finals before overcoming Luke Littler's conqueror Nathan Aspinall in a thriller. Meanwhile, Cross whitewashed Chris Dobey 6-0 before sinking last year's champion Gerwyn Price in the semis.
