Enrique Hernandez's injury status remains uncertain Enrique Hernandez's playing status is still up in the air with respect to the Dodgers being scheduled to play also against the Mets, however it has given Dodgers fans jitters. Hernandez is very valuable and useful as he can play almost anywhere in the field. Hernandez did have his left hand hurt last July and missed some games because of that. He has returned now, but recent news advises he is still feeling some discomfort. As of June 1, 2025, there is no reporting regarding additional injury, but the Dodgers are deliberately cautious to keep him ready and healthy. The team's boss, Dave Roberts, hasn't said if Hernandez will play yet. They might decide just before the game starts. Hernandez is awesome in big games, hitting .294 in 14 playoff games in 2024. If he can't play, guys like Chris Taylor or Andy Pages might step in, but they don't play as many positions as Hernandez. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Поза во сне может многое рассказать о вашем характере! Dodgers hold Phillies to four hits as Sasaki impresses
The Los Angeles Dodgers got back to their winning ways on Saturday thanks to the long ball and holding the Philadelphia Phillies to just four hits, as the visitors won 3-1. Roki Sasaki started for the Dodgers, and the offseason acquisition from Japan gave the team his best outing in three starts. The right-hander, 23, allowed just three hits, two walks and an earned run over four-plus innings while striking out four. Enrique Hernandez hit a two-run home run, and Michael Conforto had a sixth-inning solo shot, as the Dodgers avenged their first loss of the season. Max Muncy went 3-for-4 with a run scored. Anthony Banda pitched a scoreless fifth inning for his third win in as many decisions. Tanner Scott threw a three-pitch ninth for his third save. Kyle Schwarber had a hit and scored on Alec Bohm's RBI groundout. Aaron Nola (0-2) allowed three earned runs, seven hits and a walk over six innings while striking out two. Sasaki overcame a shaky start. Schwarber led off the first with a single and advanced to third on Trea Turner's base hit to right field. Turner stole second base to put both runners in scoring position, but Sasaki allowed just one run while getting the next three batters. That started a stretch where Sasaki retired 12 of the 13 batters. However, he would not qualify for his first major league win after being pulled in the fifth. In the bottom of the fifth, Sasaki gave up a leadoff walk to J.T. Realmuto followed by a line drive single to Bryson Stott. Banda entered at that point. Realmuto moved to third on Brandon Marsh's fly out to center field, but Schwarber flew out to Teoscar Hernandez in right. Stott was running and was doubled up off first before the Phillies catcher could score. Los Angeles took the lead in the second. Muncy doubled with one out. Nola got Andy Pages to strike out, but Enrique Hernandez hit a fly ball that just cleared the left field fence down the line for his third homer of the season. The Phillies had baserunners in both the eighth and ninth innings, but Dodger relievers ended Philadelphia's four-game winning streak.

Reports: Dodgers retain utility man Enrique Hernandez
February 10 - The Dodgers and clubhouse favorite Enrique Hernandez agreed to a deal that will keep the veteran utility player in Los Angeles, multiple sources reported Sunday. The Dodgers have not confirmed the deal, which is pending a physical, though Hernandez announced his return to the team in a TikTok video. Hernandez, 33, had been with Los Angeles since the Dodgers acquired him in a 2023 trade with Boston. He batted just .229 for Los Angeles last season but stepped up in the playoffs, hitting .294 with two home runs and six RBIs over 14 games to help the Dodgers win the World Series. A versatile defensive option for manager Dave Roberts, Hernandez is expected to play mostly second base or center field. Los Angeles had already retained Hernandez three times prior to Sunday's reported deal, twice via trade and once on a free agent contract. He played for the Dodgers from 2015 to 2020 before spending the next two-plus seasons with the Red Sox. Over 11 major league seasons, Hernandez has hit .238 with 120 home runs and 435 RBIs.
