UK Rules Out Sending HMS Prince of Wales to Ukraine War

The United Kingdom has confirmed it will not redeploy the HMS Prince of Wales aircraft carrier from the Indo-Pacific region to Europe amid the ongoing Ukraine conflict.
UK Chief of the Defiance Staff Admiral Tony Radakin
stated
that there are no plans to involve the carrier in the Russia-Ukraine war.
Admiral Radakin addressed recent media speculation suggesting US dissatisfaction with the UK's decision to send its flagship naval vessel to the Indo-Pacific. He clarified that the UK does not anticipate the conflict escalating in a way that would require deployment of the HMS Prince of Wales.
Since leaving Portsmouth in April, the HMS Prince of Wales has been participating in Operation Highmast, a major naval deployment across the Indo-Pacific. The strike group is conducting joint exercises and port visits in the Indian Ocean alongside forces from the United States, India, Singapore, and Malaysia.
UK naval forces are also set to take part in Exercise Talisman Sabre near Australia with 19 allied nations, followed by joint training operations with Japan's Self-Defense Forces.

Egypt-Russia Friendship Association Celebrates Russian National Day
Nada Mustafa - Basant Ahmed Egypt-Russia Friendship Association, headed by Dr. Ibrahim Kamel, will celebrate National Day of Russian Federation at 3:00 PM on Monday, June 2, at the Exhibition Hall of Russian Cultural Center in Cairo. The festivities will also feature a congratulatory speech from Dr. Ibrahim Kamel addressed to Russian friends on their national day. Pakistan Responds to Indian Statements, Reaffirms Support for Kashmir Resolution
Nada Mustafa In a strongly worded statement issued by the Foreign Office, Pakistan has responded to what it described as a 'flurry of antagonistic statements' made by Indian leaders and the Indian Ministry of External Affairs. The remarks, particularly those made in Bihar on 29 May 2025, were criticized for promoting hostility over peace and misrepresenting the regional security situation. The spokesperson of the Pakistani Foreign Office said that the Indian leadership's recent comments reveal 'a deeply troubling mindset' that prioritizes confrontation rather than cooperation. 'Any attempt to portray Pakistan as the source of regional instability is divorced from reality,' the statement noted, emphasizing India's documented history of aggressive behavior and alleged support for terrorist activities within Pakistan. At the heart of Pakistan's concerns is the long-standing dispute over Jammu and Kashmir, which the statement identifies as the 'core issue threatening peace and stability in the region.' The spokesperson reiterated Pakistan's firm stance in advocating for a just and lasting resolution to the conflict, based on relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. President Sisi Receives Iranian Foreign Minister
Basant Ahmed President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi in Cairo on Monday as part of an official visit during which he will hold talks with a number of Egyptian officials. Araghchi arrived in Cairo, on Sunday evening, as part of the two countries' efforts to enhance political consultations and expand bilateral cooperation, Tasnim News Agency reported. The Iranian official's visit focuses on exploring prospects for developing relations between Tehran and Cairo, discussing regional issues and the ongoing Israeli attacks on the Palestinian people, in addition to a number of international issues of mutual interest.
