Yet another reviewer expressed their satisfaction and hinted at a repeat purchase: "This dress fits so well! Even though I've gained a few extra pounds recently, it does a great job of hiding them. I'm already thinking about getting it in more colors!".
However, not all feedback was glowing. One customer pointed out a mismatch between expectation and reality: "Looks lovely in the photo but the style didn't suit me. The gathered waist made me look huge."
Echoing this disappointment, another review read: "I had such high hopes for this dress but it made me feel frumpy so I have returned it. It was a beautiful dress but just didn't suit me".
However, some shoppers were enamoured with the dress. One customer shared: "I bought size 8 petite which is my usual size. It fits me well across shoulders and sleeves. Not tight and slightly loose.
"The material is good quality and it hangs well. Look forward to wearing on upcoming holiday."
Another satisfied customer wrote: "This is a great dress - I have it in the brown and blue.

Who is Shabaz Ali? The TikTok comedian taking over the Edinburgh Fringe
THE Edinburgh Fringe has kicked off with a bang, with the best and brightest of comedic talent showcasing their acts across the city. One of those bright young talents is TikTok comedian Shabaz Ali. 3 Who is Shabaz Ali? Shabaz Ali is a 31-year-old chemistry teacher from Blackburn. He started sharing his content on his Shabazsays channel back in Lockdown, and quickly amassed a large viewership. Shabaz calls himself the King of Povvos, and refers to his fans as the Povvogang. It is a self-styled name highlighting how his comedy satirises the fetishisation of "poverty" by the out‑of‑touch displays of wealth. This style of comedy meant that Shabaz garnered a follower base of over 2million on TikTok. 3 It also led to the publication of his book. I'm Rich, You're Poor: How to Give Social Media a Reality Check was published in 2024. Each chapter took on a different societal concept (food, beauty, health and cleanliness) with Shabaz flexing his socio-political muscles about his stance on it. He also hosts a podcast, which he hosts with his best friend Sofia in which they discuss everything from pop culture and gossip to the latest news. The podcast was first released in October 2024 and already has numerous seasons. What is his act? 3 Following the release of his book, it was only natural that he took it on the road in his tour. His debut live comedy tour, Shabaz Ali: I Am Rich You Are Poor, is an hour-long chuckle-fest for his fans. It continues on with his criticism of influencers on social media, showing a highlight reel of their "perfect" day and warping followers' ideas. From designer ice cubes to Stanley Cups and their wild and somewhat varied uses, nothing escapes his comedic commentary. In an interview with the Guardian in 2024, the teacher shared his fears for the youth's excessive social media use, comparing it to his teenage obsession with glossy magazines. He said: 'I loved them. The glamour and beauty was so exciting to me, but I knew everything had been retouched and edited. "I didn't compare myself to anything, because I knew the images were manufactured. It was pure escapism." He explained: "But the way kids now are using social media is very different. "I'm not sure how much they know what is manufactured and what isn't.' This was understood while he observed his students as a teacher, watching their minds change and their shorter attention span as a result of social media. The tour finished on April 5, but will have one more outing as it returns to Edinburgh for the Fringe Fest. He will be performing his show in Studio Two at Assembly George Square Studios.

'Floaty' trousers that 'flatter tummy' now £29 off in Nobody's Child summer sale
"LOVE these wide linen look trousers ! Super floaty and a great cut with a comfortable/flattering fit around my tummy." It's not too late to revamp your summer wardrobe, especially with the sunny spells we've been seeing lately. And those who are still in the market for holiday clothes are in luck, thanks to the Nobody's Child summer sale. The brand is currently offering massive discounts of up to 60 per cent on certain lines. And one bargain not to miss is the sizeable discount on the popular Blue Linen-blend Jerrow Wide Leg Trousers. They are currently 39 per cent off, slashing their price from £75 to a more budget-friendly £46. But shoppers will have to be fast, as the trousers are labelled as 'SELLING QUICK' on the brand's website. The discounted Nobody's Child trousers are specially designed to cinch the waist and fall effortlessly in a comfortable and stylish wide leg. And if the blue isn't to your taste, there's a range of colours and patterns available on the Nobody's Child website. With side pockets for practicality and an elasticated back for comfort and stretch, these trousers are an excellent summer buy that tuck the tummy and flatter the waist. If shoppers are unsure about buying online with the hassle of returns and refunds, Nobody's Child offers a 'Try Before You Buy' service, where customers can be sent a range of clothes to try for five days and only pay for what they keep. Those who don't catch this bargain before they completely sell out may consider the similar Cropped Wide Leg Linen Trousers on Debenhams for £34, although the blue is slightly darker than the Nobody's Child option. Alternatively, River Island offer another similar pair of trousers for £46. Made from 55 per cent linen and 45 per cent eco-enhanced viscose, the Nobody's Child trousers have already raked in some glowing reviews from happy customers. One satisfied shopper gave the garment five stars, saying: "Garment hangs beautifully and as I am 5ft 7in, the trousers are just the right length. Elasticated waist lets me pull them up a bit when wearing flats and wear them lower when wearing wedges." Another said: "Really good quality and lovely trousers. I'm 5ft 9.5in and they are a good length when worn slightly lower." But a less satisfied shopper wasn't happy about the Nobody's Child brand, expressing a negative experience about shopping for their products on TrustPilot.
