Fans 'fuming' as major star suddenly drops out of Primavera with weeks to go

Metro09-05-2025

In just a few weeks time Clairo was due to perform at Barcelona's Primavera Sound Festival, but fans are fuming as she's only just announced she is dropping out.
The Pretty Girl singer, 26, announced the news via the festival's official Instagram page in a statement which explained the cancellation is due to 'logistical issues'.
'Hi Barcelona friends,' the Charm hitmaker began. 'Unfortunately, I'm not able to make it to Primavera this year and I'm so sad about it, because Primavera is iconic and returning to the fest is something I've been looking forward to for ages.
'There are some logistical issues with getting my show to/from Primavera that have forced my hand here.
'I never want to give my fans anything but the absolute best set I can do, and that won't be possible at this time.
'I'm so sorry again and I hope to be able to make it up to you sooner than later.'
She also captioned the news with: 'I'm so sorry Barcelona. We'll be back soon.'
Primavera added to her announcement acknowledging the fans' 'frustration' which they said they shared.
'We regret to annunce that Clairo has cancelled her performance at Primavera Sound Barcelona 2025,' the festival said.
'We are deeply saddened by this news and share the fans' frustration.
'We, too, were very much looking forward to welcoming her again at Primavera Sound Barcelona.'
Fans were not satisfied with Clairo's explanation, as @laviedesan took to X and said: 'I love Clairo so much, but I'm tired of the lack of respect artists have for countries outside the US.
'You can't cancel your show just because your team didn't plan your festivals dates properly and chose the one in New York over Primavera Sound.'
'The logistics Clairo gave to cancel primavera is honestly hilarious because I watched her coachella set and….. I'm confused. What kind of equipment are you having difficulties bringing to spain? You can't bring a piano and a guitar to Europe?' asked @missmoroccana.
'It's a month away – fix it,' fumed @Umer_885, adding: 'Feel bad for fans who bought tickets just for her.'
@SebastianArizaS simply said, 'FUMING'. https://www.instagram.com/p/DBgPAeUIlTr/?utm_source=ig_embed
Clairo was billed to perform at Primavera Sound on June 6, and the star is booked in for a gig in New York at The Governors Ball on June 8 in a lineup that was announced in January.
It is unclear whether this NY booking is the reason behind her 'logistical issue' in getting her show to Europe.
The star is only playing a handful of festivals this summer. She will be making the journey for BST Hyde Park on June 5 and 6, before heading over to Hinterland Festival in Iowa on August 1, and Lollapalooza Festival on August 2.
Primavera's line-up luckily isn't lacking – as it is returning this summer with the three biggest pop stars in the world right now signed on as headliners: Charli XCX, Chappell Roan, and Sabrina Carpenter.
The 23rd edition of the festival, which will be held at Parc del Fòrum from June 4-8 in Barcelona, will also see performances from LCD Soundsystem, FKA Twigs, HAIM, Jamie xx, Fontaines D.C., Beach House, IDLES, Turnstile and more.

The hitmakers were cuddled up in a red booth, posing up a storm for photos as they enjoyed some beverages together while garbed in white ensembles. A huge, intricately decorated floral cake was also provided at the party, and some guests appeared to give speeches. Troye uploaded a similar set of pictures to his Instagram account, writing: 'It's my birthday. Love you all and please come party w us at Primavera tonight.' The celebrations continued at the packed festival, with fans seen screaming in the audience when Charli and Troye took to the stage to perform together. Another blue cake was included in the images from the concert—it was topped with sparklers and red: 'Don't sweat 30.' Charli and Troye could be seen cuddling up on stage at one point as they serenaded the crowd. Charli paused ahead of the chorus of her hit song Apple to ask the screaming crowd: 'Who we got here tonight Primavera?' Then the camera cut to Chappell standing in a VIP section high above the stage. As concert-goers went wild, the Pink Pony Club hitmaker began to perform the iconic Apple dance while Charli began to sing the catchy chorus of the song. Charli also shared video of the moment, as well as several other photos to Instagram. 'Thank you, Troye. Thank you, Chappell. Thank you, Primavera. Sweat tour finally came to Europe and it was the bestttttt,' she wrote. She went on to announced her sixth studio album turns one this weekend.

Fallout 76 maintenance schedule for today's update and when you can start

Fallout 76 maintenance is scheduled for today, with the Season 21: Gone Fission starting after the downtime is over. Here's everything you need to know. The new season of Fallout 76, named 'Gone Fission', is set to go live today, introducing a fresh fishing mechanic and more. Today we welcome Fallout 76 Season 21: Gone Fission, as we say goodbye to Season 20: Glow of the Ghoul. If you've not made the transition from a smooth skin to a ghoul just yet, we've got a guide to get you on your way. Hopefully, you've managed to complete the current season pass in time for the Fallout 76 maintenance, as those hard-earned tickets won't be carried over. ‌ There's plenty to anticipate this season, which allows us to make the most of our time in Appalachia with a new hobby. Fishing is coming to the wasteland, although you might not want to grill and serve your catches without having any RadAway at hand. The rewards for Fallout 76 Season 21 are in line with the theme, allowing you to display fish and rods, as well as furniture and items adorned with seaweed. ‌ The Cannery is also set to drop after today's Fallout 76 maintenance with the full list of available recipes shared on the game's Discord server. We've included the full list below but feel free to scroll past if you're eager to get straight into the details of when today's Fallout 76 maintenance begins and ends. Naturally, there'll be more to come as the season progresses, but that's the entire list for now. Fallout 76 maintenance schedule Bethesda has confirmed that Fallout 76 maintenance will commence at 7am PDT / 10am EDT / 3pm BST, today, Tuesday June 3. This aligns with previous instances of Fallout 76 maintenance which typically occur on a Tuesday at this time. As for when the servers will be back up and running, we reckon that Fallout 76 maintenance could last roughly three hours, which is pretty standard. So the game might be back online by 10am PDT / 1pm EDT / 6pm BST. There was an exception with the delayed Milepost Zero downtime, which resulted in a prolonged downtime of six hours. However, nothing from the game's social accounts suggests anything similar occurring with today's Fallout 76 maintenance; at least not yet!
