After the release of his action thriller Sarfarosh (1999), helmed by John Matthew Matthan, a lot of IPS trainees had wished to meet him, and Aamir arranged for it. His tough and idealistic IPS officer in the movie had served as an inspiration for many among the police trainees. Since then, he has organised such meetings many times over the years.
