Uttar Pradesh CM to distribute Rs 21 crore aid to 431 beneficiaries under Mukhyamantri Krishak Durghatna Kalyan Yojana
Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], June 12 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday will distribute financial assistance worth nearly Rs 21 crore to 431 beneficiaries under the Mukhyamantri Krishak Durghatna Kalyan Yojana for the financial year 2025-26. The event will take place on Friday at Shivbaba Maidan in Ambedkar Nagar.
As part of the support, 408 beneficiaries will receive Rs 5 lakh each, while demo cheques of Rs 2.5 lakh, Rs 1.25 lakh, and Rs 1 lakh will be handed over to selected individuals. The entire amount will be transferred directly to the beneficiaries' bank accounts through DBT.
Under the Mukhyamantri Krishak Durghatna Kalyan Yojana, the Yogi government has approved financial assistance for 11,690 beneficiaries across all 75 districts of the state for the financial year 2025-26. A total amount of Rs 5.61 billion (Rs 561.86 crore) will be distributed to support families affected by farm-related accidents.
The Mukhyamantri Krishak Durghatna Kalyan Yojana, launched on 14 September 2019, has seen a steady rise in budget allocation over the years. In the 2020-21 financial year, the Yogi government initially allocated Rs 500 crore for the scheme. Since then, the budget for supporting farmers and their families has continued to increase with each passing year.
According to a state government release, the Yogi government is always standing with farmers in both happiness and sorrow. In case of death or disability of a farmer in an accident, the Mukhyamantri Krishak Durghatna Kalyan Yojana has become a support for the dependents and families. In any unfortunate incident, the dependent family faces a financial crisis, causing many problems in their daily life.
The release further states that at such a difficult time, the Yogi government is providing support to these families through this scheme. The scheme was implemented on 14 September 2019. Under it, there is a provision to give up to five lakh rupees in case of accidental death or disability. (ANI)

Mahindra Aerostructures, Aernnova announce $300 mn multi-year contract
Mahindra Group and Spain's Aernnova Aerospace on Tuesday announced a multi-year contract valued at about USD 300 million (over Rs 2,585 crore) for the Indian entity's arm Mahindra Aerostructures Pvt Ltd to manufacture metal sub-assemblies and components for a range of Airbus and Embraer aircraft families. The contract covers the supply to several Aernnova sites in Spain, the UK, Portugal and Brazil, further strengthening a collaboration that began in 2013, Mahindra and Aernnova said in a joint statement. "This partnership with Mahindra will enable Aernnova to reinforce its supply base to secure production ramp-ups in our factories for all our programs, fulfilling our mission to deliver to our customers," Aernnova CEO Ricardo Chocarro said. Under the "multi-year contract valued at approximately USD 300 million", Mahindra Aerostructures Pvt Ltd (MASPL) will manufacture metal sub-assemblies and components for a range of Airbus aircraft and also for Embraer aircraft families, including the Embraer C390 Millennium military transport aircraft, the statement said. Commenting on the development, Mahindra Group CEO & MD Anish Shah said, "As we scale up our operations and make significant investments in our aerospace business, we look forward to enhancing this partnership and scaling new heights." MASPL Managing Director and CEO Arvind Mehra said this contract builds significantly on the company's existing relationship with Aernnova's UK subsidiary and also opens up several opportunities to make in India. Aernnova had supported MASPL in the early stages of its facility development in India, with strong contributions to the facility design and development, as well as for skilling and skill assessment, the statement said. Telangana to release Rs 9,000 crore for farmers' scheme despite financial crisis
The Telangana government is preparing to release Rs 9,000 crore under its Rythu Bharosa scheme within the next nine days, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy announced. Speaking at the Rythu Nestham programme held at Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University on Monday, the Chief Minister reaffirmed his government's commitment to farmer welfare despite the state's ongoing financial crisis.'The government is ready to release Rs 9,000 crore Rythu Bharosa scheme benefit in the farmers' accounts in nine days. The state will flourish only when the farmer is happy,' the Chief Minister said, indicating that preparations were underway to ensure the funds reach beneficiaries without move comes at a time when Telangana is grappling with serious fiscal challenges, which, according to the Chief Minister, stem from the mismanagement of the previous administration. 'The state cannot recover from the financial crisis created by the previous government even in the next 100 years,' he said, accusing the former regime of leaving behind an Rs 8.2 lakh crore debt burden. Revanth Reddy underscored the importance of agriculture to both the economy and governance. 'Governments cannot be formed without the support and blessings of the farmers. The role of farmers is crucial to win as MLA, MP and also become Chief Minister of a state,' he inherited financial distress, the Chief Minister said his administration had already spent Rs 1 lakh crore on farmer welfare over the past 18 months. He framed this spending not as a burden, but as a necessary corrective measure. 'Against all odds, we are moving forward by taking corrective measures one by one,' he Rythu Bharosa scheme is central to these efforts. Designed to offer financial relief to both land-owning and landless farmers, the scheme provides Rs 12,000 per acre annually, split into two payments of Rs 6,000 per acre per crop season. It replaces the earlier Rythu Bandhu scheme with an expanded scope — including tenant farmers and agricultural labourers — and excludes land used for industrial or real estate program aims to reduce farmers' dependency on private moneylenders, enabling them to invest in better seeds, fertilizers, and sustainable practices.
