Serdang Police Seize IED, Drugs After 25km Car Chase
Serdang police chief ACP Muhamad Farid Ahmad said that in the 3.30 am incident at Jalan Suakasih in Serdang, officers from the Serdang District Police Headquarters stopped a Honda Civic car during a roadblock. However, the driver sped off towards Seri Kembangan.
'A chase ensued until the junction at Jalan Suakasih leading to the Kajang Silk Highway, where the suspect's car lost control and crashed into a road divider at KM 5.1, causing it to overturn,' he said today in a statement.
Muhamad Farid said three suspects, aged between 40 and 51, were detained and taken to Serdang Hospital to treat their injuries.
He said an inspection of the car led to the discovery of cocaine (77.10 g), cannabis(49.28 g), ecstasy or MDMA powder (54.07 g), ketamine (30.18 g), yaba pills (3.20 g), ecstasy pills (3.40 g) and eramin 5 tablets (0.98 g).
'Further inspection also uncovered a grey object wrapped in transparent plastic containing metal components and screws, along with a roll of wire and a motorcycle battery, suspected to be an IED.
'Checks revealed that two of the suspects have 43 prior records related to criminal and drug offences, and the third suspect is also on the police wanted list under Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952,' he said.
The case is classified under Section 186 of the Penal Code, he said, adding that all three suspects were handed over to the Kajang District Police Headquarters for further investigation under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 and Section 3 of the Corrosive and Explosive Substances and Offensive Weapons Act 1958.

MELAKA, Aug 5 — A man pleaded not guilty at the Ayer Keroh Sessions Court here today to a charge of committing armed robbery at a convenience store here last month. Brothers nabbed after 90km high-speed chase in Shah Alam
SHAH ALAM: Two brothers led multiple police cars on a high-speed chase around Shah Alam early this morning. The pair, travelling in a Proton Wira, led six police vehicles on a 90km pursuit before being stopped and apprehended near the Selangor police headquarters. Shah Alam district police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim said that upon arrest, police found a bottle containing a greenish liquid — believed to be ketum juice — inside the vehicle. "The incident began around 1.30am when a patrol car spotted a suspicious blue Proton Wira at the Section 7 commercial centre. "Policemen attempted to stop the vehicle using their siren and loudspeaker, but the driver ignored the instructions and sped off recklessly," he said in a statement today. He added that five other police vehicles joined the chase, which covered approximately 90 kilometres around Shah Alam. "After nearly an hour, police managed to block the car near the entrance of the Selangor police headquarters. "Two men, aged 18 and 24, were arrested at the scene," he said, adding that a search of the vehicle uncovered a bottle containing green liquid, suspected to be ketum juice, hidden under the front passenger seat. Further checks revealed that the older suspect has five prior drug-related offences, while the younger has no criminal record. "The suspects are brothers. "The case is being investigated under Section 186 of the Penal Code for obstructing public servants in the discharge of their duties, which carries a penalty of up to two years' imprisonment, a fine of up to RM10,000, or both," said Mohd Iqbal. Police are also investigating the duo under Section 30(3) of the Poisons Act 1952 for possession of ketum, which provides for a fine of up to RM100,000, imprisonment for up to five years, or both, upon conviction. When asked why the suspects had driven toward the Selangor police headquarters, Mohd Iqbal said they had panicked. A remand application for both suspects will be made at the Shah Alam magistrate's court today.

Four-day remand for man who went back to crime scene to retrieve slippers
BALIK PULAU: A 21-year-old man has been remanded for four days to assist in an investigation into an alleged house trespass involving the residence of a TikTok influencer. The remand order was issued this morning by magistrate Chia Huey Ting. Earlier, the suspect, was brought to the Balik Pulau Court Complex at around 9.05am. He kept his head down as he walked. It was reported that a man, who broke into a house in Batu Maung yesterday, was caught after he returned to the scene to retrieve items he had left behind. The matter came to light in a viral video posted on the Facebook account "Amigos Media Viral". Southwest police chief Assistant Commissioner Sazalee Adam told the New Straits Times today that the suspect had gone back to the house to retrieve his slippers. Initial investigations revealed that the suspect had entered the home through the back door while the domestic helper was outside disposing of rubbish. Upon realising the presence of the TikTok influencer, the suspect fled the scene. However, he later returned to the house to collect belongings he had left behind. It was then that the complainant and several friends managed to apprehend the suspect and handed him over to members of a patrol unit on duty in Batu Maung. The case is being investigated under Section 448 of the Penal Code for house trespass, which carries a maximum jail term of three years, a fine of up to RM5,000, or both.
