The Australian content creator's comment has sparked a discussion online. While some agreed with him, others felt the comparison was unfair.
"No. India isn't 'rich'. A few Indians (who live in India but may not even be Indian citizens) are 'rich' while more than 85% of the country struggles daily," wrote one user.
"Next talk about homelessness in Australia. I was shocked to come on my 2nd week to find a dead homeless man one winter morning being picked up by an ambulance," commented another.
"Yes. I remember this the first time I landed in Bombay as a kid. I was perplexed by the have and have not; side by side. Duality is a way better word for it. Almost nothing like it," shared a third user.
However, some users called the comparison unfair, saying, "India's diverse beauty is often overlooked by foreign content creators who focus on slums and street food for followers. In response, some Indians and neighboring countries await such content."
"Are slums not around the world? If you go to newyork you will find poor areas there too the difference is when we go to ny we specifically avoid going to such places when foreigners come to India they specifically want to go to these places and areas eat food from stalls were you get food for 20 rupees so that they can get views."

No Photos Please: Sidharth Malhotra Urges Privacy After Video Of Him Getting Angry On Paparazzi Goes Viral
Mumbai: Bollywood couple Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani, who have been blessed with a baby girl, are requesting privacy from the media, as they step forward in their journey of parenthood. On Thursday, the actor took to the Stories section of his Instagram, and shared a note in which he urged the media to grant them and their daughter privacy. He wrote, 'We're so grateful for all the love and wishes; our hearts are truly full. As we take our first steps into this new journey of parenthood, we hope to enjoy it intimately as a family. It would mean a lot to us if this special time could stay private. So, No Photos Please, Only Blessings! Thank you for your support'. This comes after a video of Sid surfaced on social media, in which he was visibly angry at the paparazzi stationed at the medical facility. The actor asked the paparazzi to behave. Earlier, in February, the couple announced their pregnancy, as they shared a picture on the social media platform of themselves holding baby socks, and captioned it, "The greatest gift of our lives... Coming soon". Later, in May, the actress debuted her blossoming baby bump in a stunning ensemble by ace couturier Gaurav Gupta at the 2025 MET Gala at the The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. The actress took to Instagram, and had shared a string of pictures dressed in Gaurav Gupta Couture titled 'Bravehearts'. She wore a gold sculpted breastplate with two hearts with a dramatic white cape. Sid and Kiara tied the knot in a dreamy ceremony in February 2023 after dating for several years. While the two prefer to keep their personal lives lowkey, they make sure to surprise their fans with their occasional PDA on social media. Prior to this, the actress had shared a heartwarming moment on social media as she played with adorable puppies, radiating joy and excitement.

Untamed first reviews: Critics call the Eric Bana-starrer ‘beautiful but predictable'
Even though many don't agree with whatever Netflix is doing in the Indian market, their international shows are doing exceptionally well. After the success of Adolescence and How To Have Sex, their new mini-series Untamed, starring the original Hector of Troy, Eric Bana, is generating buzz. It seems that for the most part Netflix has another winner on their hands, but Untamed is definitely not walking out of the reviews unscathed. Created by Mark L. Smith and Elle Smith, the show follows the story of investigative services branch special agent Kyle Turner (Bana), who is tasked with investigating the death of a female rock climber. While people believe that the climber fell to her death, Turner feels something mysterious is afoot and takes along a rookie agent, Vasquez, to investigate the accident. In the six-episode show, the two give a tour of the entire Yosemite National Park while trying to solve this case, and some reviews suggest that this is just Netflix's attempt to have their own Yellowstone. TV critic Judy Berman from Time Magazine says, 'Almost certainly a product of audiences' addiction to detective procedurals and streamers' desperation to find their own Yellowstone, the series is, as written and acted, mediocre. It's worth watching, though, if you're fascinated by the inner workings of a place like Yosemite.' ALSO READ: The Bear Season 4 review: Jeremy Allen White serves a three-course season but Ayo Edebiri is the one 'cooking' The Guardian sort of doubles down on this premise and calls the show a 'blunt force thriller which is beautiful but predictable.' THR wasn't entirely convinced by the show, as they think that the series felt too tightly closed and the narrative at times feels rushed. Apart from this, almost all the reviews maintain the fact that the series has too many clichés present in it that take away that unique punch which it had the potential of packing. While many of the reviews have deemed the series as something which lacks depth, almost all the reviews call the series worth a watch. The cast of the series includes Eric Bana, Sam Neill, Rosemarie DeWitt, Lily Santiago, Wilson Bethel, William Smillie, and Josh Randall.

What's Behind The MELODI Meme Fest?
When two leaders with a fawning fan following like PM Modi and PM Meloni meet, they not only immediately light up the formal media sphere but also the digital 'chat-osphere' MELODI is everywhere. On Instagram, on X, on TikTok, on Reddit, you name it. It's slightly cringy. But it is also an undeniably thoroughly entertaining mash-up of sophomoric sentimentalism. And it never fails to go viral within moments of its two protagonists meeting. Or even glancing at each other, for that matter. So, what's behind the MELODI meme fest? Here's a stab at the answer. Populists speak directly to their bases. India's prime minister Narendra Modi and his Italian counterpart Giorgia Meloni are masters of this craft. So much so that they don't need mainstream media to connect with their base. This is because these leaders don't just talk to their people but talk like them. They are one with the people, and the people are one with them. This unquestioning adoration is typical of cultish relationships. In PM Modi's case, his followers are unsurprisingly called Bhakts. A feature of such relationships is that the fan base also rides the highs and lows of their messiah's journey. So, it's only natural that when two leaders with a fawning fan following like PM Modi and PM Meloni meet, they not only immediately light up the formal media sphere but also the digital 'chat-osphere". The result in the case of a Modi-Meloni meeting is the 'MELODI" meme-fest. This is diplomacy meeting pop culture. Should we call it 'Pop-lomacy"? For their image managers, the meeting is an affirmation, a campaign advert to recast a purely diplomatic liaison to humanise their respective leaders. In electoral politics, only relatability works. And nothing works better than a shareable, pun intended, unit of soft power to establish that winning connection.
