A further distressing finding was the presence of acetone in his stomach, suggesting he hadn't eaten at all in the time between Betsy's death and his own. This indicates that the actor was unable to fend for himself or care for their three dogs and it's possible he wasn't even aware of Betsy's death.
One of their pets was found dead as a result of starvation and dehydration, another dog was seen "guarding" Betsy's remains. A third was roaming freely around the estate.

The report detailed that the acetone present — a solvent widely used in chemicals — is "also a product of diabetic- and fasting-induced ketoacidosis as well as a metabolite following isopropanol ingestion."
Remarkably, Gene's acetone levels were at 5.3 mg/dl, contrasted with the normal levels in blood which peak at 0.3 mg/dL. This gap indicates an extended period of fasting.
Reacting to high levels of acetone, the body can exhibit various symptoms including stomach pain, drowsiness, confusion, feelings of sickness or nausea, along with blurred vision.
Furthermore, the autopsy found Gene to have had "coronary artery stents and a bypass graft, as well as a previous aortic valve replacement."

Like a True Dandy, A$AP Rocky Wore His Own Design to the 2025 Met Gala
As an official co-chair of the 2025 Met Gala, A$AP Rocky was of course expected arrive in a memorable look. And like a true modern-day dandy (or 'Fashion Killa,' rather) the Vogue May cover star did not disappoint. The star chose to wear a custom design from his own creative agency, AWGE. (Talk about the ultimate style flex: 'Oh this? It was custom made for me, by me.') Doing a contemporary spin on tailoring, Rocky took a cool, sportswear-minded route that reflected his impeccable personal style: He wore a double-breasted AWGE parka in technical wool, complete with coated snaps and velcro detailing on the sleeves. The jacket was inspired by the Marmot outerwear Rocky saw being worn in his native Harlem growing up. To him, the jackets represented modern-day dandyism, and he wanted to pay homage to that. 'Marmots are a Harlem tradition; in the winter, everyone has a Marmot on,' Rocky told Vogue during his final fitting in New York. 'That was our teenage jacket.' Rocky's longtime stylist Matthew Henson, who played a pivotal role in bringing the design to life, adds, 'Rocky wanted to do something new and original. He wanted to pay homage to New York, and one of the biggest and most well-known jackets [in this city] is a Marmot jacket. It's a really crazy outdoor technical jacket, but it has a really beautiful shape.' The duo reinterpreted the piece with a double-breasted closure, giving it a surprisingly formal feel. 'It closes the same way that a tuxedo would,' says Rocky. The 2025 Met Gala co-chair paired the jacket with dressier pieces including a white cotton poplin shirt, a black wool trousers and a vest, exposed satin boxers, and a black wool necktie for a more traditional finish. Accessorising the look, meanwhile, were a pair of dressy oxfords that AWGE made in collaboration with Christian Louboutin, as well as jewelry pieces by Bulgari. Rocky launched AWGE in 2014, and showed the design agency's first full runway collection during Paris Fashion Week in June 2024. (In his May Vogue cover story, the rapper wears a sleek gray AWGE suit in a photo taken alongside his grandmother, Cathy.) Rocky says that helming his own brand has allowed him to experiment with his sense of style—though that is well-formed by now. 'This is my favorite style era of mine,' Rocky says of his dapper wardrobe today. 'Being a dad has definitely influenced my style today.' This year marks Rocky's fifth time attending the annual Met Gala. The rapper first attended the back in 2014, for the Charles James-themed exhibition. In more recent years, the star has attended alongside his partner Rihanna—and the duo has shut down every red carpet they've graced. As for how the power couple will celebrate this evening? Rocky has epic plans in mind—and he has the slick look to go with it. 'I plan on having a hell of a night, and enjoying myself,' he says. Article originally published on Vogue US

Pierce Brosnan delves into his role on MobLand, seemingly defending it amid being heavily mocked for it on social media. In a recent interview, Pierce shared how the 'Irish aspect' of his gangster MobLand character. 'The Irish aspect of him happened on the day. I was going for a North London or South London accent,' he told the Los Angeles Times. 'But on the very first day of shooting with Tom and myself, Guy said, 'Go Irish.' I called up my dialect coach, Brendan Gunn, who I've worked with many, many times. I said, 'Brendan, I've got 15 minutes. Give me a Kerry accent'.' Pierce continued: 'Brendan gave me a man who I based the voice on — he's from Kerry and he's a politician — and I jumped in with both feet. I wanted something that had a bite to it. I wanted something where you could take someone's head off with the words.' Pierce is being mocked online for his accent in MobLand (Image: AP) Pierce stars as Conrad Harrigan, the head of a very successful Irish crime family based out of London in the series. Other stars who are a part of the cast are Dame Helen Mirren, who plays his Irish wife Maeve, and Tom Hardy, who plays Conrad's 'fixer' Harry DeSouza. Despite Pierce putting his best foot forward for his role, critics have slammed the Paramount+ series, specifically because of Pierce's character's 'offensive' Irish accent. Even though he was born in Drogheda, Co Louth , and raised in Navan, Co Meath before moving abroad in his teens, many are taking issue with his diction in MobLand. On social media, one viewer penned: "Pierce Brosnan seems to have forgotten his hiberno English." Another commented: "Watching Mobland and Pierce Brosnan's accent is doing laps of the entire country." A third added: "Man's gone from Cork to Dublin and back to Kerry mid-sentence." Meanwhile, another shared, "considering he's Irish, Pierce Brosnan's attempt at an Irish accent can only be described as ------- offensive." Although Pierce is getting a lot of online hate, his co-star and Co Westmeath native Lisa Dwan has come to his defense. 'Well, I'm Irish and I knew immediately he was doing a Kerry accent, which is west of Ireland," she told Parade.
