Sexyy Red Sued By Her Child's Grandmother For Leaking Home Address Across Social Media
Sexyy Red is facing a lawsuit from Nicole Barnes, grandma to one of the rapper's children. Barnes is seeking $5 million in damages after the rapper allegedly sicced her legion of fans on the plaintiff.
The legal action stems from charges that Sexyy Red, born Janae Wherry, posted Grandma's home address on social media and encouraged her followers to 'kick in the door' and engage in 'acts of violence' against Barnes.
STLToday is reporting that the leak of Barnes' info led to a wave of terror for the paternal grandmother of one of the rapper's two children.
According to Steven Weaver, Barnes' attorney, the incident is a direct result of the ongoing conflict between Sexyy Red and her son, the father of the child. Weaver emphasized that Barnes herself has had no personal involvement in the issues between the rapper and her son.
'Sexxy Red and her baby daddy are getting into beefs, for whatever reason, that have nothing to do with my client,' Weaver stated. 'We did try to informally resolve it, and her attorneys thought it was a joke,' he added, suggesting that previous attempts to settle the matter outside of court were dismissed as trivial.
The lawsuit, which has drawn significant attention, accuses Sexyy Red of multiple charges, including assault, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and negligent infliction of emotional distress.
The suit also highlights the severe emotional and psychological trauma Barnes reportedly endured as a result of the rapper's actions.
The alleged threats and the resultant fear for their safety forced Barnes and her family to vacate their home in Hazelwood, Missouri. They have since struggled to find new, suitable housing, further exacerbating the emotional and financial strain caused by the ordeal.
Barnes is seeking $5 million in damages, citing ongoing trauma and the emotional harm inflicted upon her and her family.

Shults confirmed that it was an 'absolute possibility' that the movie would be The Weeknd's last hurrah chapter, adding 'For people that aren't his fans and don't know anything about him or even care about the final capping of the Weeknd, I think you still have a great movie to go through.' DDG Claims Halle Bailey Once Held Gun During Near 'Suicidal' Breakdown
