On consecutive nights of Major League Cricket (MLC) in Dallas, Texas, fans plucked two clutch catches to leave everyone stunned with their athleticism and skills. The first came on Saturday during the match between Washington Freedom and MI New York while the second came a night later during the clash between Washington Freedom and Texas Super Kings.
On Saturday night, as Glenn Maxwell went up and over the in-field to smash a maximum, a fan leaped high to take an amazing one-handed catch.

The incident came in the 14th over with Maxwell's six coming off Michael Bracewell with the shot headed towards deep mid-wicket region. As it cleared the ground with ease, the ball made its way into the crowd where one spectator took the catch.
A night later, it was the turn of Mitchell Owen going bang, bang with a thunderous stroke towards long off to Marcus Stoinis' bowling. In the ninth over, Owen hit a 82-metre (269 feet) six to bring up his half century from 35 balls.
To make the whole incident even more sublime, the six was caught by a spectator in Texas Super Kings' yellow with one hand.
"My friend asked me what will we do if the ball came to our side. So I was telling him that I will take it with one hand so I took it!" said the fan to the official MLC account.

"I've been playing the sport for 20-25 years, even though I'm just 34. It helps that I used to be in the outfield and take such catches. We decided in the afternoon to come for the match which is why we're here," he added.

Four on the bounce: Mitch Owen, Andries Gous masterclass helps Washington Freedom beat Texas Super Kings
Mitchell Owen of Washington Freedom congratulates Andries Gous of Washington Freedom for reaching his fifty during match 13 of the Cognizant Major League Cricket season 3 between Washington Freedom and Texas Super Kings held at the Grand Prairie cricket stadium, Grand Prairie, United States of America (USA). (Sportzpics) Riding on a blistering fifties from Mitch Owen and Andries Gous Washington Freedom powered to their fourth straight win in the ongoing Major League Cricket (MLC) 2025, chasing down Texas Super Kings' (TSK) 220/6 with two balls to spare and climbing to second on the points table. Owen and Rachin Ravindra gave Freedom a flying start, striking five boundaries in the first eight balls. Though Ravindra fell inside the powerplay, Owen capitalised on an early life — dropped on 20 in the third over — to punish TSK. Despite the aggressive start, Freedom were behind the asking rate at 72/1 after eight overs. Another drop — this time on 42 in the ninth — followed by a no-ball allowed Owen to unleash. He smacked Marcus Stoinis for back-to-back sixes and helped shift momentum. The decisive moment came in the 12th over when Noor Ahmad conceded 22 runs, followed by a brutal 24-run over off Donovan Ferreira by Gous. Stoinis briefly pulled things back with a tidy over and Owen's dismissal on 89 gave TSK a glimmer of hope. But Gous and Glenn Maxwell kept their cool, launching late blows to bring the target within reach. Glenn Phillips eventually struck the winning boundary through backward point in the penultimate over. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like เทรด CFDs ด้วยเทคโนโลยีเทรดสุดล้ำ และ รวดเร็วกว่า IC Markets สมัคร Undo Gous remained unbeaten on 80—his highest score in MLC. Earlier, Faf du Plessis smashed 69 off 31 balls to anchor TSK's innings after they were asked to bat. He and Smit Patel raced to 55 inside five overs. While TSK received steady contributions down the order, a sluggish middle phase — especially against Maxwell, who took 2 for 35 — hurt them. Owen chipped in with three wickets before starring with the bat. A late cameo of 36 off 14 balls from Calvin Savage and Shubham Ranjane pushed TSK to a competitive 220. Brief Scores Texas Super Kings: 220/6 in 20 overs (Faf du Plessis 69, Marcus Stoinis 32; Mitch Owen 3/33, Glenn Maxwell 2/35) Washington Freedom: 223/3 in 19.4 overs (Mitch Owen 89, Andries Gous 80*; Adam Milne 3/42) Game On Season 1 kicks off with Sakshi Malik's inspiring story. IND vs ENG: 'I just...' - Jasprit Bumrah explains his mantra despite seeing plenty of catches going down
LEEDS, ENGLAND - JUNE 21: Jasprit Bumrah of India looks on during Day Two of the 1st Rothesay Test Match between England and India at Headingley on June 21, 2025 in Leeds, England. (Photo by) There were four catches dropped off Jasprit Bumrah 's bowling in England's first innings of the Leeds Test at Headingley, and never did the Indian speedster lose his cool. He tried to hide his disappointment behind his smile, buried his face in his cap, and moved on to the next delivery. "I like to play cricket to enjoy my time whenever I'm out on the field, so that is why I smile," Bumrah told BBC Sport, explaining why he always plays with a smile on his face. 13:26 Jasprit Bumrah press conference: Lashes out at critics, dropped catches and no balls Bumrah, who picked up five wickets in England's first innings, gave the Indian fielders the benefit of the doubt as they dropped one chance after another. "Dropped catches—I understand nobody is doing it on purpose, and obviously everyone is trying their best. Cool weather with the ball sometimes makes it difficult to see over here as well. So I do understand," he said. "Some things are part and parcel of the game. I don't want to let it affect me and then affect my future spells. I try to forget as soon as possible and quickly move forward," he added. England were dismissed for 465 on the third day in reply to India's first-innings 471. India stretched their lead by stumps to 96 at 90/2, thanks to KL Rahul's unbeaten 47, with Shubman Gill—fresh from a century in his first innings as India captain—unbeaten on six. "The game is in the balance," Bumrah said. "We have to bat well. The wicket is a little bit two-paced, so it will be an interesting game to come."
