
ATV operator charged after collision in South Bruce
An ATV operator was charged after colliding with a motor vehicle on Concession 4, East of Teeswater.
Wearing no helmet, the ATV driver failed to yield while leaving a driveway, resulting in a passenger vehicle hitting the ATV on July 5 just after 10 a.m.
The 56-year-old operator of the ATV was ejected and treated for minor injuries at the hospital.
He's been charged with fail to yield from driveway and driver - no helmet. The roadway was closed for a short time.

Article content The alleged intruder was already wanted by police for multiple unrelated offenses, including breach of probation, when he broke into the man's home in the early hours of Monday morning, according to court filings. Article content Police arrived at the scene to find the intruder with serious, life-threatening injuries arising from an altercation with the resident, who now faces aggravated assault and weapons charges. Article content Smith said the incident reflected a lingering Canada-wide problem with criminal recidivism, touching on every province and territory. Article content Article content 'We all have had instances where somebody has been released on their own recognizance and then been repeat offenders … so we know that this is a problem that needs to be solved through (federal) legislation,' she said. Article content Smith said she hopes tough on crime legislation will be high on the agenda when Parliament resumes next month. Article content The Alberta premier wasn't the only out-of-province politician to speak out on the incident. Charges laid after Victoria bank robbery, ‘substantial' amount of cash recovered: police

Authorities said a suspect entered a bank on Douglas Street on Tuesday morning and demanded money. ADVERTISEMENT In a news release, the Victoria Police Department said 'no weapons were involved,' but that the suspect made off with some cash. Police have not disclosed how much money was taken, but said a 'substantial amount' was recovered when officers arrested a suspect hours later in downtown Victoria. Josue Raul Zuria has since been charged with one count of robbery. He is scheduled to appear in court next on Sept. 11.
