Goalkeeper Steer released by Peterborough
The former Aston Villa keeper had another 12 months left on the deal he signed last summer but wants to leave for "personal reasons".
He saved two penalties against Wrexham to help Posh reach this season's EFL Trophy final at Wembley, and kept a clean sheet when they beat Birmingham City in the final to make it back-to-back wins in the competition.

A new contract has been offered to defender Tayo Edun, who joined them in January after leaving Charlton Athletic and scored twice in 17 appearances.
But goalkeeper Nicholas Bilopkapic has been made available for transfer, along with former Colchester striker Bradley Ihinovien, full-back Jack Sparkes and striker Jacob Wakeling.
The club have confirmed that highly-rated winger Kwame Poku, forward Ricky-Jade Jones and midfielder Hector Kyprianou, who scored the second goal in the 2-0 win over Birmingham, will all leave the club when their contracts expire.
Posh will be entitled to tribunal compensation for Poku and Jones, who both came through their academy.
Meanwhile, winger David Ajiboye and striker Kabongo Tshimanga have both been released, having ended the season on loan at Newport County and Swindon Town.

Aussie fans' telling response to brutal Channel Nine move for Andrew Johns and co.
Channel Nine's decision to dump its post-match NRL show and feature a live English Premier League match in its place has proved a ratings bonanza. Despite criticism the NRL's chief broadcast partner was ditching the code and robbing it of valuable exposure, a decent Saturday night audience watched the Aston Villa v Newcastle EPL clash immediately after the Souths-Parramatta game at Allianz Stadium. The EPL fixture – the second game of the 2025/26 season – pulled in 855,000 viewers nationally to be the ninth most-watched program of the day. The game performed strongly in the key age demographics, coming in fourth in the 25-54 age group and third among 16-39-year-olds. In comparison, the previous week's post-match NRL show attracted 502,000 viewers nationally - the 26th most-watched show of the day - justifying Nine's decision to brush Phil Gould, Billy Slater, Andrew Johns and Co. for English football. Nine, which broadcasts a live NRL Saturday game across the final five rounds of the regular season, will stick with the formula for at least the next three weeks. Following next Saturday night's Roosters-Eels clash, Nine will go straight to England for the meeting of early league leaders Manchester City and Tottenham. That match will likely torch the viewing figures from Villa v Newcastle, giving Nine another ratings win. Nine's streaming partner Stan recently acquired the rights for the EPL and the free-to-air station is giving the competition heavy coverage. Nine Managing Director of Streaming and Broadcast, Amanda Laing, said. "We know Australians love big sporting moments and it doesn't get any bigger than two of the world's most exciting and dynamic sporting competitions on the same night. We think this is a win for sports fans." NRL post-game show scrapped as viewers back Nine's move And the fans certainly agree, loudly voicing their preference for live sport over post-game analysis and dressing room interviews. One posted: "Who the hell watches pre-game and post-game shows? This is great news... more people will be watching the EPL coverage than that dribble. Another added: "NRL post-game show vs the English Premier League. That's not even a question that needs answering." NRL bosses are said to be comfortable with the arrangement, albeit disappointed it is costing the game eyeballs. It's understood the NRL will win out, although strong EPL figures over the next three weeks may result in a re-think. Alexander Isak CLOSER to Liverpool as Newcastle career turns toxic
Newcastle opened their 2025/26 Premier League account with a 0-0 draw away from home at Aston Villa on Saturday. It was a creditable result - but the Magpies really ought to have got more out of the game. They had 16 shots and only three on target - dominating Villa on the xG metric with 14.7 to only 0.13. There is no doubt that the enforced exclusion of Liverpool target Alexander Isak had plenty to do with their lack of firepower on the day. 🔴 Shop the LFC 2025/26 adidas home range Shop the LFC Store 🚨2025/26 LFC x adidas range🚨 LFC x adidas Shop the away range TODAY LFC x adidas Shop the home range today! Isak, 25, is effectively on strike in the hope of pushing through a move to Anfield before the conclusion of the summer transfer window. 🔴 Shop the LFC 2025/26 adidas away range Newcastle knocked back Liverpool's opening bids for the Swede - but after a TOXIC outing perhaps the club will see sense and accept the next one. Isak out of the Newcastle squad Isak doesn't want to play for the Geordies any longer - and if the conduct of the club's fans is anything to go by they they don't want the No14 back either. The logical outcome from here is a quick sale to Liverpool in order for both clubs - and Isak himself - to move swiftly on. Newcastle value their star attraction at around £150m but a deal could be possible at £135m. It remains to be seen what Liverpool come back with but Eddie Howe will have learned on Saturday that there's no way it can continue like this. Eddie Howe wants resolution 'The door is well and truly open. He has to decide what he wants to do. I would like a resolution,' the Newcastle boss said after the game. His side had been hopeful of wrapping up a deal for an Isak replacement BEFORE the player transferred out of the club. That makes sense; once selling clubs understand their desperation, then the price gets jacked up accordingly. But Newcastle may have no choice but to offload Isak and then go on the hunt for another target. They have already missed out on Joao Pedro - as well as Hugo Ekitike and Benjamin Sesko. All have moved elsewhere with Ekitike opening his Liverpool account in the 4-2 win against Bournemouth on Friday night. © IMAGO Let's wrap up Isak deal Newcastle instead toiled with Anthony Gordon up top rather than on his more effective left-wing station while William Osula was a late substitute. But now we move closer to the end game. Newcastle's fans have made it clear what they think of their EFL Cup-winning hero right now and Howe had admitted it's time for a decision to be made. They need Alexander Isak sold so they can move on with their season with another player at No9. Otherwise their ambitions for the campaign ahead will unravel. And that means the vacancy left up top at Anfield by Darwin Nunez will soon be taken by a new British record transfer in the shape of Isak. These next few days promise to be crucial.
