'Aneet is a big screen heroine for YRF. Nyaya was shot before she signed Saiyaara and it has no bearing on her career trajectory as a theatrical heroine going forward. A girl who is delivering probably a 400 crore hit in theatres, is a true Gen Z star at the age of just 22, will be preserved for theatricals. There are huge plans to make her the face of a generation and that can be achieved only by consolidating her theatrical equity,' informed a trade source.
Despite the arrival of The Fantastic Four: First Steps and Mahavatar Narsimha, Ahaan Panday & Aneet Padda's starrer Saiyaara continues to dominate at the global box office.
While romantic drama is set to enter the Rs 250 crore club today in India, it has crossed the Rs 300 crore globally and emerged as the 2nd highest Hindi grosser of the year after Vicky Kaushal's \_Chhaava\_, beating Mohanlal-Prithviraj Sukumaran's \_L2: Empuraan\_, Aamir Khan starrer Sitaare Zameen Par & Venkatesh's Sankranthiki Vasthunam.
With the arrival of Ajay Devgn-Mrunal Thakur starrer Son of Sardaar 2 & Siddhant Chaturvedi-Triptii Dimri's Dhadak 2 on the coming Friday, it will be interesting to see how Saiyaara performs at the box office.

Kingdom Box Office Collection Day 2: Vijay Deverakonda's actioner nosedives after historic start, earns Rs 7.5 crore
After a thunderous opening at the box office, Vijay Deverakonda's highly anticipated film Kingdom witnessed a significant decline on its second day of release. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 7.5 crore on Day 2, marking a steep drop of approximately 58.33% from its opening day. This brings the film's total two-day collection to Rs 25.5 crore. Despite the drop, the film maintained a respectable overall Telugu occupancy rate of 42.56% on Day 2. It began the day with 27.39% occupancy during morning shows, increased to 38.12% in the afternoon, rose to 43.21% in the evening, and peaked at 61.50% during the night shows. Region-wise, Warangal led with a 69.50% occupancy rate, followed by Mahbubnagar at 56.50%, and Hyderabad at 52.50%. Also Read | Son of Sardaar 2 Box Office Collection Day 1: Ajay Devgn's comedy struggles with Rs 6.75 crore debut amid poor reviews Kingdom had already surpassed the opening day figures of Vijay's previous film Kushi, but its second-day earnings fell slightly short of Kushi's Day 2 collection of Rs 9.9 crore. However, the strong opening helped Kingdom maintain a lead in cumulative earnings, with its two-day total of Rs 25.5 crore edging past Kushi's Rs 25.15 crore. Interestingly, while Kingdom couldn't outdo Liger's Day 1 numbers, its second-day performance of Rs 7.5 crore helped it overtake Liger's two-day total of Rs 23.4 crore. The drop on Day 2 can be attributed, in part, to it being a working day, along with the film receiving mixed reviews. Additionally, Kingdom is facing stiff competition from other releases, including Mohit Suri's Saiyaara, Ajay Devgn's Son of Sardaar, and Karan Johar's Dhadak 2. All eyes are now on the weekend collections, as Kingdom is being viewed as a potential comeback for Vijay Deverakonda after lukewarm responses to his previous outings, Kushi and Liger.

Director and creator Gopi Puthran is thrilled with the appreciation that this highly original series is getting from all quarters. Gopi says, 'Originality of imagination has been the cornerstone for content that breaks out. If you look at Mardaani to Mandala Murders, I have tried to do something new and I have been empowered to push the envelope with every single project at YRF. I'm delighted with the response that Mandala Murders is getting from the audience.' STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD He adds, 'From being the No 1 trending show on Netflix India, to our hitting the global charts on the platform, Mandala Murders is off to a great start and it makes all of us very, very happy. I wanted to create a binge-able, mind-bending, genre-defying series with Mandala Murders. It was risky and very ambitious and I'm very happy to see the initial response to the series.' Gopi is a big binger of psychological thrillers and mysteries that pushes audience to think about what is real, what is just sheer figment of imagination and can the occult exist in today's modern world. For him, Mandala Murders was an attempt to play with the minds of the audience. He says, 'I'm a big fan of dark, moody, crime dramas that leave you on the edge of what is real, what is imagination and what is occult if it exists in today's world.' Gopi adds, 'True Detective, The Sinners, Twin Peaks, Sharp Objects, are an exploration of how the mind can push people to the edge of belief and disbelief and if Mandala Murders is doing that to audiences in India with a story and a concept that's rooted in India and our culture, it is truly delightful.'

Saiyaara Box Office Collection Day 15: Ahaan Panday-Aneet Padda's blockbuster braves competition, nears Rs 450 crore worldwide
Saiyaara Box Office Collection Day 15: No one expected two newcomers to make such a big impact on the box office, but that's exactly what Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda have done with Saiyaara. The film has been on a historic two-week run, raking in unprecedented numbers while overtaking massively successful blockbuster on the all-time leaderboard. However, what goes up must come down, and it seems that the Saiyaara Express is finally running out of steam. According to early estimates by industry tracker Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 4.25 crore on day 15 of its theatrical run, taking its India net collection to Rs 284.75 crore. The worldwide collection of the film has crossed the Rs 440 crore mark, and even though it just recorded its lowest single-day earnings yet, the film was a success the day it came out. During the past 15 days, the Mohit Suri directorial has overtaken the likes of Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Kabir Singh (Rs 278 cr), the Salman Khan-starrer Tiger 3 (Rs 276 cr), the Aamir Khan-Katrina Kaif-starrer Dhoom 3 (Rs 271 cr), and the Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt-starrer Brahmastra Part One (Rs 241 cr), just to name a few. Now the film is hot on the heels of the Prabhas-Deepika Padukone-starrer Kalki AD 2898 AD (Rs 293 cr) and Salman Khan's Sultan (Rs 300 cr). ALSO READ: Triptii Dimri and Siddhant Chaturvedi's Dhadak 2 seethes with the rage of filmmaker Shazia Iqbal The occupancy rates of Saiyaara averaged out at 19.42%, with the morning and afternoon shows achieving 11.89% and 19.15%. The evening and night shows did slightly better with 20.24% and 26.40%. While the numbers are much lower than what Saiyaara had been averaging previously, it will pass the Rs 300 crore mark this weekend. The collection is bound to go down as the days pass, but the film's performance has been more than just commendable. The last major debut of Bollywood was probably that of Ahaan's cousin, Ananya Panday, in Student of the Year 2, which earned Rs 70 crore net in India, a number that Saiyaara crossed in just three days. Shanaya Kapoor's recent debut alongside Vikrant Massey in Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan (Rs 1.77 cr) found itself drowning under the Saiyaara wave. Ajay Devgn had to delay the release of Son of Sardaar 2, just to avoid clashing with Saiyaara. Be it the new faces, the title track, or the several tactics applied by Suri and YRF, Saiyaara worked, and everyone involved with the project is now enjoying the fruits of their labour.
