In an interview with DubsTV last Friday, the St Vincents clubman outlined that he already had a few people in mind to comprise his backroom team.
He stated: "There'll be a nice blend of continuity from Dessie Farrell's set-up.

"And then I'll integrate a couple of guys I would have played with myself over the years and they're very much looking forward to getting involved."
Now, the Irish Examiner and the Irish Independent have reported that Dean Rock and Denis Bastick are the two atop his wish-list.
The latter retired from the inter-county scene in 2018 whilst the former was a contributor up until 2023.
Gaelic football's managerial merry-go-round is gradually slowing down as the only remaining counties without bosses are Roscommon, Waterford, Antrim and Westmeath.

This week has seen Andy Moran all but secure the Mayo gig which was swiftly followed by word that Paul Madden will replace Peter Keane in Clare.
Lee Keegan has backed Cillian O'Connor to return to the Mayo jersey in 2026 under new boss Moran.
But the five-time All-Star dismissed the possibility of ending his own inter-county exile.
Keegan has welcomed the appointment of former team-mate Moran, who is set to be ratified as successor to Kevin McStay at the next county board meeting.

And he told SunSport: 'It's going to be enticing for other guys to come back who weren't involved this year.

"For example, Cillian O'Connor has been doing his stuff at club level and he's still in ridiculously good shape. I think he still has quite a bit to offer Mayo."
O'Connor, the leading scorer in the history of Championship football, opted out of the Mayo set-up this year. The 33-year-old's future at inter-county level remains uncertain.

Keegan added: 'Cillian has a lot of miles in his legs but I think there's still plenty more in him.
"I'm not saying this will definitely get him back but I'm sure the conversation will be had. Cillian and Andy would be very close from their playing time together as forwards working alongside each other.
"I think there'll be a big decision for Cillian to make. He obviously won't want to have any regrets about it and you'd imagine Andy will want him there as well.

"He'll want him there for his experience but also because he's a scoring forward. He got six points last weekend for Ballintubber against Charlestown. He still has the pedigree to do it.
"Andy coming in is not going to turn lads away anyway. He's the type of infectious character who really wants to get to know your personality.
"He's really bubbly and he's really positive. It's going to give guys a huge boost now for the club Championship.
"They'll be extra determined to perform so that they can be involved under him, so it's great for the group and it's exciting for Mayo."

Mondello Park will hold its annual Carol Nash Historic festival of classic racing this weekend and tributes to the late Eddie Jordan and Martin Birrane, the late owner of the Co Kildare circuit, who would have turned 90 this year, will feature. The main straight at Mondello Park will be renamed the Birrane Straight in honour of the Mayo man, who saved the track from closure when he bought the venue back in the mid-1980s Birrane set up the Mondello Park museum some years ago and two of its cars, the V10-engined Jordan 195 and the Pacific PR01, which saw action in the 1994 F1 season, will both have demonstration runs as part of the 'Eddie Jordan - From Grid to Glory' event. The former Manchester United and Dublin GAA star was visiting Connemara on Monday evening and stopped into Lowry's Bar to mingle with locals and soak in the pub's warm atmosphere. The 71-cap Irish international and two-time All-Ireland winner posed with staff in the popular establishment, including the bar's owner Damien Ryan. 'We had the honour of welcoming Kevin Moran – former Ireland international and former Manchester United football legend – to Lowrys Bar last night!' the bar said on social media. 'From the pitch to the pub, Kevin still knows how to light up a room. Thanks for stopping by Kevin — you made our night!' Moran (69) grew up in Rialto, Dublin and divided his youth between playing Gaelic games and soccer. In the early stages of his career, he divided his time between playing Gaelic football for Good Counsel in South Dublin and soccer for Bohemians. A short stint at Dalymount followed with limited first-team appearances before he departed to play Gaelic football for Dublin, winning four Leinster titles and two All-Ireland medals for Dublin – including an All-Star medal in 1976. A move to Manchester United followed in 1978 after impressive stints with UCD, Pegasus and later Bohemians. After moving to Old Trafford, Moran infamously returned home to Dublin to take part in the 1978 Leinster Final, which Dublin lost to Kildare and resulted in him tearing his hamstring. The left-footed defender went on to make 277 competitive appearances across 10 seasons at Old Trafford, winning two FA Cups and famously receiving a red card in the 1985 final against Everton – becoming the first-ever player to do so. Moran made 71 appearances for the Republic of Ireland between 1980 and 1994, played every game at Euro '88 and Italia '90 and was named FAI Player of the Year in 1989. His post-United career took him to Sporting Gijón in Spain, followed by a four-year stint at Blackburn Rovers, where he served as club captain and, unfortunately, retired the season before their famous Premier League win in the 1994-95 season. Since retirement, Moran has been inducted into the FAI Hall of Fame and was the subject of a biographical RTÉ documentary titled Codebreaker in 2023.

"I have been very fortunate to be involved in a golden period for Dublin GAA and I have played with the most incredible group of players. "It really has been some of the best days of my life and I have memories to last a lifetime. "The loyalty and friendship we have built is something I will always be thankful for. "To the Dublin fans thank you for the support of the team throughout the years. "Walking around Croke Park and passing Hill 16 is a memory that I will never forget.
