Limited Moonshine Gold Earthphase MoonSwatch (AUD$610) launches August 9 2025
Navy Bioceramic 42 mm case with Moonshine Gold moon-phase indicator
Earthphase and Moonphase subdials follow opposite 29.5-day cycles for novelty
Snoopy and Woodstock feature on subdial, inspired by August's Sturgeon Moon
Available in-store only at select Melbourne, Perth, Sydney, and Brisbane Swatch locations
Snoopy has added a golden touch to the OMEGA x Swatch Mission to Earthphase with a limited release in Moonshine Gold and navy, arriving on August 9th 2025, priced at AUD$610.
Like previous releases, there's an Earthphase and Moonphase indicator, which is more of a functional gimmick than a useful tool, but it looks cool nonetheless. Both of these follow a 29.5-day cycle and move in opposite directions. For example, when there's a full moon, we see a new earth, and when there's a new moon, we glimpse a full earth. Watch enthusiasts can think of it as a reinterpretation of the retrograde function seen in some high-end timepieces.
Before we take a closer look at the watch, it needs to be said that the OMEGA x Swatch Mission to Earthphase Moonshine Gold (AUD$610) will be released in-store only on August 9th 2025, at the following Swatch stores in Australia: Melbourne (Collins Street), Perth (Murray Street Mall), Sydney (Pitt Street Mall), and Brisbane (Queen Street).

The highlight of this limited edition MoonSwatch is the Moonshine Gold-adorned moon phase indicator on the 2 o'clock subdial. It's Snoopy-like and inspired by the 'Sturgeon Moon,' which appears during August (the month of this watch release). This moon takes its name from the sturgeon fish found in the Great Lakes in North America during summer, and Swatch has added a Snoopy-like cast net to one of the watches' moons to pay homage.

Snoopy finds his way to the subdial, below the Earthphase indicator, where he is joined by his copilot, Woodstock, on the Moon. It's a fun addition, but some of the Man of Many team thinks the dial is a bit crowded now, with three sub-dials, two of which are indicators.
Like all MoonSwatch models, the OMEGA x Swatch Mission to Earthphase Moonshine Gold's case uses the patented Bioceramic material, a mix of two-thirds ceramic and one-third biosourced materials produced from castor oil. The dark navy blue hue has been created specifically for this model, and it looks like you're staring into deep space.
On the caseback, the battery cover features an Earth-inspired design. However, we're more excited about the navy VELCRO rubber strap. This was previously introduced as a standalone product that you could purchase from Swatch stores, but has now been included from the factory to match the exclusive navy blue case hue.
Once again, the OMEGA x Swatch Mission to Earthphase Moonshine Gold (AUD$610) will be released in-store only on August 9th 2025, at the following Swatch stores in Australia: Melbourne (Collins Street), Perth (Murray Street Mall), Sydney (Pitt Street Mall), and Brisbane (Queen Street). Being a limited release, we expect it to sell out rather quickly, even if MoonSwatch hype has died since the watches' first release.

Controversial US comedian Matt Rife buys the Annabelle doll
US comedian Matt Rife and YouTuber Elton Castee announced over the weekend that they've purchased the home the infamous Annabelle doll resides in. The doll was made famous by The Conjuring movie series that was based on the work of famed paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. The Warren claimed the foll was possessed by an evil spirit. Annabelle resides in the Warren's former home in Connecticut on the east coast of the US. Rife will be the legal guardian of the Annabelle doll, and the entire haunted collection, for at least the next five years. He and Castee plan to open the Warren home — in Monroe, Connecticut — for overnight stays and museum tours. They're doing it so that people can experience and learn all about the building's haunted history, Rife said. 'If you know me, you know I'm obsessed with the paranormal and all things haunted,' Rife said. Rife said The Conjuring films have always been his favourite scary movies. 'I'm incredibly honoured to have taken over one of the most prominent properties in paranormal history,' he said. Tony Spera, the Warrens' son-in-law and co-director of the late couple's organisation, New England Society for Psychic Research, clarified to that he and his wife still own the Warrens' collection, including the Annabelle doll, and are only leasing them to Rife and Castee. 'We have no plans to ever 'sell' the artifacts,' he said in a statement. Ed and Lorraine Warren's paranormal investigations were turned into the horror movies The Conjuring, Annabelle and The Nun. Actors Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga play Ed and Lorraine in the franchise. The Conjuring: Last Rites is the latest film in the series and will be released in September. In the three standalone films about Annabelle, the doll is given as a gift to a nursing student who noticed strange occurrences with the doll. The nurse and her roommate call the Warrens, who pronounce the doll 'demonically possessed,' remove it from the home and encase it 'in a glass box to contain the evil spirited entity', according to New England Society for Psychic Research. Ed Warren died in 2006 at 79, and Lorraine Warren died in 2019 at 92. The New England Society for Psychic Research did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Rife's announcement comes less than a month after paranormal investigator and Annabelle doll handler Dan Rivera died on the Devils on the Run Tour, which features the Annabelle doll. Rivera, 54, was found dead in a Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, hotel room on July 13. According to E! News, a July 16 police report labelled his death as 'natural', but a final cause of death won't be determined until an autopsy is completed.

'Wholesome goodness handmade in Balmoral': King Charles III launches luxury dog biscuits and tweed petwear in subtle challenge to Meghan Markle's lifestyle brand As Ever
King Charles is giving his estranged daughter-in-law Meghan Markle a run for her money with a line of royal dog biscuits, hand-baked in the kitchens of Balmoral Castle. The monarch, 76, announced the new product on August 1 as part of his Balmoral Pet Collection. "Hand-baked in the Balmoral Castle kitchens, these 100% natural biscuits are lovingly made in small batches using wholemeal flour, egg, and chicken stock," Balmoral Castle said in a social media post. "Each bag contains 75g of wholesome goodness your dog will love." The biscuits are part of a wider collection of luxe dog accessories, including a Balmoral tweed collar for £32 (AUD $65) , a matching lead for £40 (AUD $82), a tweed treat bag for £30 (AUD $61), and a coat of arms dog bowl priced at £28 (AUD $57). Over at Sandringham, a £45 (AUD $92) "Happy Hound" tweed dog coat has also been unveiled. Sold through the estate's gift shop, the coat's listing reads: "Stylish, machine washable and with a water layer, the Sandringham tweed dog coat is perfect for frosty winter walks." The pet collection was reportedly inspired by Charles' new canine companion, Snuff, a Lagotto Romagnolo, a rare Italian breed known for its truffle-hunting abilities. Snuff is the King's first personal pet in over two decades, following the death of his Jack Russell terrier, Tigga, in 2002 at age 18. Meanwhile, Queen Camilla also added a new member to the royal pack in May, adopting a rescue puppy named Moley from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home. The late Beth, one of the Queen's beloved rescue terriers, also came from the same shelter, as did Bluebell, who still lives at Clarence House. Moley now appears to be the furry face of the new pet range, fronting the packaging of the dog biscuits, which seem to be made from recyclable material. The launch comes as Meghan Markle continues to build her own lifestyle empire under the As Ever brand, which previously teased the launch of dog treats, but has yet to release them for sale. Earlier this year, the Duchess of Sussex, 44, whipped up a batch of peanut butter dog cookies during her With Love, Meghan cooking series on Netflix. The treats were for her friend Delfina Blaquier's dog, Nina, as well as her own late rescue beagle, Guy, who sadly died in January. "They provide us with unconditional love, so they get unconditional peanut butter dog biscuits," Meghan said during episode four of the show. She has previously sent her homemade dog treats to the Figueras family, with Blaquier sharing a snap of the signature cursive labelling and packaging on Instagram in June. While Meghan often posts her favourite lifestyle picks on her curated 'Shop My' Instagram account, no animal-related items have yet been linked to the page, nor have any dog products appeared on the official As Ever site. Instead, her brand has so far focused on pantry-style goods and vintage wines. The latest launch, announced on her birthday on Monday, is a new vintage of her Napa Valley Rosé. "Today, our founder celebrates another year (Happy Birthday, Meghan!) and tomorrow, we're raising a glass to celebrate our newest release," read an As Ever email sent to subscribers. "We've worked thoughtfully to bring these exceptional bottles to you, and more of your other favourite As Ever products are also being restocked shortly." The wine has sold out twice since its initial debut. Other products on the site, including herbal teas, cookie and crepe mixes, flower sprinkles and fruit spreads, are currently sold out, although a new batch of raspberry spread is listed as "coming soon", with a six-jar-per-person limit.
