R Kelly seeks pardon from President Donald Trump amidst solitary confinement and safety concerns

R. Kelly is reportedly seeking a presidential pardon from Donald Trump , amidst claims from his attorney that he is being subjected to solitary confinement in retaliation for requesting home confinement over safety concerns. Attorney Beau Brindley revealed he has been in contact with individuals close to President Donald Trump, seeking his intervention in the case. Speaking to Variety, the attorney argued, 'I think it's a particular interest to President Trump because, unlike most people who come to this with an air of skepticism, [he] has a personal unique understanding of what it's like to be victimized by prosecution teams and put through that experience through corrupt and criminal hacks. ' Brindley went on to add, 'He understands what that's like, and when he knows that it's being escalated to the point of a death threat to hide the corruption that we're trying to put out there, he's perhaps the only person that there is who is going to have the courage to pull the trigger and say I want to stop it now.' The Grammy-winning artist, currently serving a 30-year sentence at a federal facility in North Carolina for racketeering and violations of the Mann Act involving the sexual exploitation of minors, filed an emergency motion earlier this week alleging serious threats to his life behind bars. In the motion filed Tuesday, attorney Brindley alleged that prison officials had 'solicited an inmate to murder Kelly,' leading to the singer's current placement in solitary confinement. Brindley claims the conditions are not protective but punitive in nature. 'Where he's sleeping now, he has spiders crawling all over him,' Brindley told Variety . 'This isn't protection — it's punishment for pursuing this. So he remains in solitary. He has not eaten for three days because he's been only offered food that's coming directly from the chow halls that's prepared by the inmates, which he was warned not to eat by one of the officials at the prison who we left anonymous for his own security.' Brindley also alleged in the filing that government officials violated attorney-client privilege by intercepting confidential communications to secure Kelly's conviction and that the threats against his life began as retaliation for attempting to expose this alleged misconduct. 'He's begging me to find a way to help him, because this isn't right,' Brindley added. 'And I'm going to do everything in my power to do it.'

Taylor Swift's fall Sundays are booked, ready to back Travis Kelce's quest for another Super Bowl: "She's not juggling a packed tour schedule"

Taylor Swift finally gets to be a full-time NFL girlfriend as Travis Kelce preps for new season (Getty Images) As the NFL gears up for the 2025 season, Taylor Swift is preparing for a quieter, more grounded fall — and it's all by choice. For the first time since her relationship with Travis Kelce began in 2023, the global superstar will head into football season without the weight of a world tour pulling her in opposite directions. 'Taylor is really looking forward to the upcoming NFL season. Not just because she loves supporting Travis, but because for the first full season since they started dating, she's not juggling a packed tour schedule,' an insider shared exclusively with PEOPLE. The change marks a significant shift in their relationship dynamic, offering both Swift and Kelce the rare luxury of time. No more tour, all touchdowns—Taylor Swift to support Travis Kelce every step of the 2025 season In the past two seasons, the couple managed to stay close despite crisscrossing continents and balancing high-pressure careers. 'The past two seasons were a whirlwind between performing across multiple countries, long flights, and trying to squeeze in alone time together wherever possible. It wasn't easy but they made it work,' the source added. Their ability to maintain their connection through it all has become a testament to their commitment. Swift officially wrapped her record-breaking Eras Tour in December 2024 in Vancouver. Spanning five continents and grossing over $2 billion in ticket sales, the tour became the highest-grossing in history. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Keep Your Home Efficient with This Plug-In elecTrick - Save upto 80% on Power Bill Learn More Undo But now, without rehearsals, flights, and nightly performances filling her calendar, the 14-time Grammy winner has space to breathe — and cheer. With her schedule finally free, Swift is expected to be a more regular face in the Arrowhead Stadium stands. 'Her schedule is much more open now that the Eras Tour is wrapped and she's genuinely excited to have the time and flexibility to show up for Travis more consistently,' the source noted. 'Taylor plans to be at as many of his games as possible.' That's good news for Kansas City fans. While all eyes remain on Patrick Mahomes and his offensive arsenal — including Rashee Rice, Xavier Worthy, Hollywood Brown, and, of course, Kelce — the added energy from Swift's presence brings its own kind of buzz to game day. After their public debut in September 2023, Swift's regular appearances at Chiefs games, including the AFC Championship and Super Bowl LVIII, became headline moments. Now, without international flights cutting into her weekends, she and Kelce have a chance to settle into something more stable. 'It's a chance for them to settle into more of a routine and they're both really happy about that,' the insider added. With football season approaching and fewer distractions in the way, Swift and Kelce are entering a new chapter — one that could be defined less by chaos and more by companionship. Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce attend Game 4 of Stanley Cup Final between Panthers and Oilers

SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) — Pop superstar Taylor Swift and boyfriend Travis Kelce were among the celebrities that flocked to Amerant Bank Arena on Thursday to watch Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final between the Florida Panthers and Edmonton Oilers. Kelce, a Super Bowl-winning tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, is a known hockey fan along with his brother Jason Kelce. And ever since Swift and Kelce began their high-profile romance in 2023, the 14-time Grammy Award winning singer has been known to pop in on big sporting events — including the last two Super Bowls — and cause an excited frenzy for fans. There were rumblings ahead of Thursday's game that the couple might attend the final. A helicopter landed near Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Florida, ahead of the game. The VIP entrance to the area was also closed off and the media elevator was not available to be used for a period of time before pregame warmups began. Swift recently announced that she regained control over her entire body of work. In a lengthy note posted to her official website, Swift said that all the music she's ever made now belongs to her after she has purchased her catalog of recordings — originally released through Big Machine Records — from their most recent owner, the private equity firm Shamrock Capital. Over the last few years, Swift has been rerecording and releasing her early albums in an attempt to regain control of her music. Other celebs in attendance included former Miami Dolphins star defensive end Jason Taylor, who banged the drum before the game. Miami Heat captain Bam Adebayo was joined by former Heat captain Udonis Haslem on the drum on Monday. The defending champion Panthers led the best-of-seven series 2-1 heading into Thursday's game.
