Priscilla Nkoane: celebrating everyday moments
Priscilla Nkoane, a 26-year-old content creator from Bloemfontein, now residing in Durban, has carved a niche for herself in the lifestyle and travel space.
With a background in Marketing Management, Nkoane's content focuses on celebrating the beauty in everyday moments, whether it's discovering a new restaurant or sharing a hidden travel spot.
'What motivates me each morning is the simple but powerful reminder that I can try again,' she shares.
This mindset has propelled her to create content that resonates with many, especially young women seeking inspiration.
Nkoane's favourite local destination is Cape Town, where the stunning views and vibrant culture provide endless opportunities for exploration.
Internationally, Switzerland holds a special place in her heart, with its peaceful landscapes that feel like stepping into a postcard.
Nkoane's journey into content creation began during a challenging period in her life when she lost her job and her original Instagram account.
Instead of succumbing to despair, she embraced the opportunity to start anew, sharing her authentic self with the world.
'There's power in sharing, in being open, relatable, and real,' she explains.
Her platform aims to uplift and inspire other young women, reinforcing the idea that there's room for everyone in the industry.
"Through my content, I've learned a lot, and I hope to keep creating a space that inspires and uplifts other young women like me. There's room for all of us in this industry, and I want my platform to reflect that," said Nkoane.
Karabo Matlala: capturing nature's wonders
Karabo Matlala, a wildlife and travel photographer from Bronkhorstspruit, Gauteng, has a passion for capturing the beauty of nature.
With her camera in hand, she explores the wild, connecting with the environment and sharing her unique perspective through her lens.
'Photography gives me an opportunity to connect with nature and helps me express how I see it,' she says.
Every day brings new adventures for Matlala, who finds motivation in the excitement of exploring the unknown.
Her favourite local destination is the Kruger National Park, where the diverse landscapes and incredible wildlife offer endless inspiration.
Internationally, the Lower Zambezi National Park in Zambia has captured her heart, with its breathtaking scenery and the majestic sight of elephants along the riverbanks.
As a female photographer in a traditionally male-dominated industry, Matlala faces challenges but remains determined to break barriers.
'Every challenge I face only fuels my passion,' she asserts.
Her journey is not just about capturing moments; it's about paving the way for other women to step into the field and showcasing that they too have a place in this industry.
"With travel & wildlife every day brings a new chance to go out and explore, there is anexcitement about what the day may bring. What will I see today? That keeps me motivated and excited to start the day. It just reminds me that every day is another opportunity to see or photography something special," she said.

Eddie Palmieri, Latin music trailblazer, dies at 88

NEW JERSEY - Eddie Palmieri, who revolutionized Latin music and played a major role in the salsa explosion in New York City, passed away Wednesday at the age of 88, according to the artist's official social media account. The "legendary pianist, composer, bandleader, and one of the most influential figures in Latin music history, passed away in his New Jersey residence on Aug 6," read a post on Palmieri's Instagram handle, alongside a photo of the artist. Fania Records, the salsa label, mourned the star's death, calling him "one of the most innovative and unique artists in music history." "We will miss him greatly," it added. Born in Harlem, New York, to Puerto Rican parents, Palmieri was the younger brother of pianist Charlie Palmieri and entered the music scene at a young age. As a teenager, he took piano lessons at Carnegie Hall while also learning to play the timbales. He began performing professionally in bands, including a two-year stint with Puerto Rican musician Tito Rodriguez. Palmieri is recognized for having revolutionized the sound of Latin jazz and salsa, with a career spanning more than seven decades. In 1961, he founded the band "La Perfecta", which redefined salsa by replacing trumpets with trombones. Four years later, his track "Azucar Pa Ti" (Sugar For You) became a dancefloor hit -- and decades later, was added to the collection of the US Library of Congress. In 1975, he became the first Latin artist to win a Grammy, for his album "The Sun of Latin Music," which won in the newly established Best Latin Recording category. Palmieri was also one of the earliest salsa musicians to adopt a political tone in his compositions. In 1969, he released the album "Justicia" (Justice), featuring lyrics that tackled inequality, social justice, and discrimination, with vocals by Puerto Rican singer Ismael Quintana and Cuban vocalist Justo Betancourt. A few years later, in 1972, he performed at Sing Sing, a prison in New York, in front of an audience largely made up of Latino and Black inmates, according to The Washington Post. "For all humanity!" Palmieri shouted through a loudspeaker in the prison yard, the newspaper reported. He added that there should be "no walls," "no fear," and "only one thing in life: freedom in the years to come." "He was a mentor, teacher, and tireless advocate for Latin music and culture," read a tribute on his social media. "He inspired generations of musicians and moved countless listeners with his artistry, conviction, and unmistakable sound." He is survived by five children and four grandchildren. His wife, Iraida Palmieri, passed away in 2014.

You will share moss.' 'Anele is just enjoying every moment leading to her wedding,' @BabablacksheepK wrote. While @Roxie791340 added: 'I think we as a country are not ready for your wedding, it's gonna be one for the books.' Early this year, Mdoda celebrated her traditional marriage to Bonelela 'Buzza' James. In June, she appeared on the 'What Now with Trevor Noah' podcast and gushed about how happy she has been since she got married. 'I'm spoiled, I'm pampered, it's nice. I do nothing which is great ... They try to tell us women, you must cook, you must clean, no, none of that. The real marriage is that it's the man that does everything. 'It's so nice to find a partner, like I've literally found an equal, like he's my dude, he's my guy. I feel so protected and safe and it's just that entire thing. Also because he's the one person in the world that I don't have to convince to be on my side. He is automatically on my side,' she said.
