2026 Audi Q3 Review: Expert Insights, Pricing, and Trims

2026 Audi Q3 Review: Expert Insights, Pricing, and Trims

Redesigned for 2026, the Audi Q3 arrives with a new look, an upgraded powertrain delivering improved performance, and a suite of cutting-edge technology features. From its refined cabin to its enhanced driver-assistance systems, the latest Q3 aims to set a new benchmark for luxury in the compact SUV segment.
Entry-level luxury subcompact SUV competitors include the BMW X1, Volvo XC40, and Acura ADX.
What's New
Audi debuts an updated Q3 this year. The redesigned crossover features fresh styling, an updated engine, modernized tech including Audi's Digital Matrix style exterior lighting, and more space.
This page will be updated with more insights and photos as information becomes available.
What We Think
Audi's entry-level SUV delivers on style and brand identity, but the previous Q3 generation fell short in areas that matter to discerning luxury buyers. Could the updated 2026 Q3 change that?
The baby ute's sleek exterior and modern cabin—complete with sharp digital displays and surprising rear-seat space—give it a strong showroom appeal. However, the pre-2026 Q3's driving experience tells a different story.
Although the luxury SUV's small size allows for nimble handling, a bouncy ride and underwhelming engine performance limit its luxury feel. Inside, the upscale design on pre-2026 models is undercut by low-rent materials.
For buyers seeking the most affordable way into an Audi SUV, the Q3 still fits the bill. We look forward to seeing if the new version moves the luxury performance needle relative to the outgoing model.
Top-Ranked Competitors:
Performance
The 2026 Audi Q3 may launch with two versions of an updated 2.0-liter turbocharged I-4 engine. On the lower-trim models, output may come to 201 hp 236 lb-ft of torque, just like the A3 small sedan.
Higher-trim 2026 Q3 S-Line models may be more powerful, at least matching the outgoing SUV's 228 hp and 251 lb-ft. Quattro AWD will be standard. We estimate sprints to 60 mph will take roughly 8 seconds with this setup.
MPGs and Range
Despite the increase in output, fuel economy is expected to improve on last year's 20–22/28–29 mpg city/highway through enhanced engine efficiency. Look for Q3 fuel economy to be on par with the 2025 XC40, which returns 23/30 mpg.
Safety Features
This year's Q3 will build on a set of driver assists that last year included:
Adaptive cruise control
Lane keeping
Automatic emergency braking
Blind-spot monitoring
Automatic high beams
How Big Is the 2026 Q3?
Audi's smallest SUV continues to come with two rows and room for five passengers. Given the changes that came to the related Volkswagen Tiguan for 2025—namely a longer wheelbase and redesigned center console without a gear selector (it moves to the steering column)—space looks on track to improve.
Technology
Infotainment
The lineup's standard 10.3-inch driver display should carry over, but Audi will be moving on from the last model's 8.8-inch infotainment touchscreen. Look for a 12.9-inch replacement interface (like the Tiguan's).
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as several USB ports, will be standard.
Available Upgrades
The new Audi Q3 features advanced Digital Matrix style lighting—LED headlights and taillights that can change dynamically to avoid blinding oncoming traffic or project one of many available light signatures. Will some of this tech arrive on the U.S.-spec Q3? We'll see.
Value
The Q3 continues to be the most affordable Audi SUV, itself an enticement for brand intenders. A new model this year sweetens the deal, but refinement issues have held back past versions of the SUV from appealing to a wider audience.
The 2026 Audi Q3 is the only SUV model from the brand with a starting price under $50,000 including destination.

Trump's steel tariff raise misses real target, says EU

PARIS — President Donald Trump's decision to double steel import tariffs to 50 percent is a misguided blow to America's allies, the European Union's chief trade negotiator said Wednesday, warning the real threat lies in global overcapacity rather than in the bloc's steel exports. Trade Commissioner Maroš Šefčovič, speaking after talks with U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer in Paris, said that Europe was not the source of the problem — which is global overcapacity — that the Trump administration was seeking to address with the tariff. 'We are not bringing problems,' Šefčovič told reporters, pointing to the fact that the EU exports only about 4 million tons of highly specialized steel. Advertisement 'Let's not target each other, but let's work together [on] how to address this global overcapacity issue,' he said.

3 surprising market winners in 2025

Investors brave enough to peek at their account statements know that it's been a rocky 2025. Even before tariff-related volatility, DeepSeek AI's launch clouded the major technology theme that powered the market in 2023 and 2024, as AI stocks entered a bear market in March. But there have been equity gains to be had in 2025. When I look at year-to-date returns across indexes, I notice a few surprising stars: European stocks, Latin America, and real estate investment trusts. The common thread that connects the three? All had been underperformers in prior years. European stocks have been made great again Morningstar's European stock index is riding high this year, as the macroeconomic environment has been improving. The financial-services sector, in particular, is a key beneficiary. Then there's Germany's newfound interest in deficit spending and the continent's focus on military self-sufficiency, spurred by the Donald Trump administration. US tariff announcements caused sharp selloffs in Europe, but the recovery has been V-shaped. A weakening US dollar has magnified European equity gains for unhedged US investors. It doesn't hurt that the European Central Bank and the Bank of England have actually been cutting interest rates. My research and investment colleagues have called Europe 'the most attractive developed-markets region globally,' making European stocks worthy of inclusion in a diversified portfolio. Latin America: Can the revival last? South of the US border, stocks are rallying. Morningstar's Latin American equities index is up more than 22% so far in 2025, thanks to Brazil, Mexico, and the smaller markets of Colombia and Chile. Here, too, a weakening dollar has boosted equity returns for unhedged US investors. This marks quite a turnaround from losses of more than 25% in US dollar terms in 2024. Brazil, for its part, faces serious fiscal challenges. In Mexico, sentiment was dented by election results on both sides of the border. Coming into the year, my colleagues on Morningstar's research and investment team identified Brazil as the highest potential global equity market for the coming 10 years. Latin American stocks are volatile but could hold more upside. REITs, especially those outside the US, outperform Real estate investment trusts are also up double digits this year outside the US. Property sectors in many geographies are vibrant, bolstered by low or falling interest rates. What about the US? The Morningstar US REIT Index is well behind the Morningstar Global Markets ex-US REIT Index in 2025, but it's in positive territory, ahead of the broad US equity market. US interest rates that appear to be staying higher for longer are seen as a negative for real estate. That said, REIT yields are attractive, and property is a 'real asset' that can act as an inflation hedge. Diversification assures exposure to unloved asset classes US mega-cap technology-oriented stocks did so well for so long that many investors thought they were the only game in town. Coming into 2025, it was hard to envision how the Magnificent Seven could ever be knocked off their perch. The rise of artificial intelligence, widely viewed as 'bigger than the internet,' seemed inexorable. No one saw DeepSeek AI coming, and few predicted the degree to which tariffs would disrupt. Gravity is a powerful force in investing, too. US stocks, especially on the growth side of the market, posted returns in 2023 and 2024 that far exceeded their historical levels. Their losses in 2025 can be seen as a reversion to the mean, or a return to long-term averages. The surprising winners of 2025 show that investment performance is dynamic. Contrarian bets can be profitable, though they can also take time to pay off. Investors who diversify by geography, style, and market capitalization are also well placed to benefit from leadership change. ___ This article was provided to The Associated Press by Morningstar. Norqain Unveils A Colorful Ice Cream Themed Watch For Summer

The Norqain Freedom 60 Chrono 40mm 'Enjoy Life' Special Edition with stainless-steel bracelet Timed for summer, Swiss watch brand, Norqain, has released the Freedom 60 Chrono 40mm 'Enjoy Life' Special Edition. The watch brand describes it as 'a bright, playful take on the timeless sports chronograph, inspired by the fresh, joyful shades of gelato.' The motto printed on its sapphire crystal caseback reads, 'Enjoy Life.' It's the latest edition to Norqain's Freedom collection, a vintage-inspired line of watches with a connection to the great outdoors and adventure. The matt-finished white dial of the special edition timepiece has two design highlights: First, its three chronograph subdials at 3, 6 and 9 o'clock and their matching outer dial sectors appear in tones of green, pink, and blue, a first for the Freedom 60 Chronograph line. Second, on the first, eighth, 15th, 22nd, and 29th day of each month, the small date display between 4 and 5 o'clock swaps its numerals for an illustration of a three-scoop ice cream cone. Norqain says it's 'a cheerful reminder to treat yourself to an ice cream every week and embrace life's little pleasures.' The Norqain Freedom 60 Chrono 40mm 'Enjoy Life' Special Edition with rubber strap The black tachymeter scale on the outer ring is backed by green, pink and blue colors. The flat indexes are diamond-cut and rhodium plated, finished with white printings and white X1 Super-LumiNova markers. There's an anthracite Norqain logo below 12 o'clock. All the hands on the dial are diamond cut and rhodium plated. The hour and minute hands are also faceted and filled with white X1 Super-LumiNova. The watch is powered by the Norqain Caliber N19 (Sellita SW510 a), automatic chronograph movement with personalized Norqain oscillating weight and a 62-hour power reserve. The movement can be viewed through a sapphire caseback. The dial and movement are housed in a 40mm 316L polished stainless steel case with a thickness of 14.90mm. The screw-down crown with the Norqain logo and pushers are made of the same metal, as is the Norqain plate on the case's left flank. As a signature detail of all Norqain watches, this plate can be personalized with an engraving. The aesthetic portion of the watch is completed with either a stainless-steel bracelet with brushed center links and a steel clasp, or a white rubber strap with signature Norqain stitches and a steel pin buckle. Each timepiece comes in a special edition box designed to match the spirit of the watch and includes a pair of sunglasses. Beyond its bright palette, the timepiece is recognizable as one of Norqain's sporty everyday chronograph. Norqain will launch the timepiece Wednesday in Las Vegas with a pool party at the Hilton Resorts World. As one would expect, it will be an ice cream themed event. It's hosted by international watch and jewelry retailer, Bucherer. The launch of this Ice Cream watch will kick off in Las Vegas with an event that is designed to capture the spirit of the summer season. It will be the first of several events during the summer to bring attention to this watch. In a statement, Ben Küffer, Norqain founder of CEO, said the company's watches are design to 'inspire joy, and to create watches that make people feel good,' adding that the Freedom 60 Chrono 40mm 'Enjoy Life' Special Edition achieves this goal because 'It's summery, it's fresh and it puts a big smile on your face.' The watch with the steel bracelet (reference N2201.19S01.C01.S01) is $5,190. With the rubber strap (N2201.19S01.C01.R01), the price is $5,050.
