AUS vs SA: Australia's Owen ruled out of rest of white-ball series due to concussion
Cricket Australia (CA) said on Thursday the Tasmanian passed a sideline assessment during the 53-run defeat in the second T20I in Darwin on Tuesday but later reported concussion symptoms.
His mandatory 12-day stand-down period will see him miss the series decider in Cairns on Saturday and also a potential debut in the following ODI series.

Batter Matt Short and fast bowler Lance Morris will also miss the ODI series with side and back injuries respectively.
They were replaced in the squad by all-rounder Aaron Hardie and slow bowler Matthew Kuhnemann.
Morris reported lower back soreness and has returned to Perth for further assessment, CA said.
The T20I series is tied at 1-1, with Australia winning the first match in Darwin by 17 runs.

Detailed Short Run Rule (Clause 18.5.2): Another key update concerns batters retiring mid-innings. As per the revised regulation, if a batter retires for any reason outside of injury or external interruption, he will be immediately deemed 'Retired–out'. Crucially, such a player cannot return to bat, even with the opposing captain's permission. This rule is now applicable across all formats of domestic cricket. Single Ball Rule in 50-Over Games The BCCI has also aligned with the ICC's recent ODI rule tweak to use only one ball after 34 overs. This change, intended to reintroduce reverse swing into the game, will be implemented in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Teams will use two new balls from each end for the first 34 overs. After that, one ball will be chosen for the remaining overs, while the other will be added to the pool of replacement balls.

While Maxwell delivered a spectacle with his sheer power-hitting, his magic in the outfield went under the radar. With a stellar piece of fielding, Maxwell completed the priceless catch of Dewald Brevis and went level with his former teammate Warner's record. His eye-catching effort marked his 62nd outfield catch for Australia, the joint-highest for the nation alongside Warner. For his record-shattering catch, Maxwell had to work hard and put in the hard yards to end Brevis' fireworks. The young Proteas batter was tormenting the hosts in their backyard by unleashing a barrage of boundaries.
