Yahoo31-03-2025

Investors interested in Medical - Drugs stocks are likely familiar with Takeda Pharmaceutical Co. (TAK) and Daiichi Sankyo Co., Ltd. - Sponsored ADR (DSNKY). But which of these two stocks presents investors with the better value opportunity right now? Let's take a closer look.
There are plenty of strategies for discovering value stocks, but we have found that pairing a strong Zacks Rank with an impressive grade in the Value category of our Style Scores system produces the best returns. The Zacks Rank favors stocks with strong earnings estimate revision trends, and our Style Scores highlight companies with specific traits.
Currently, both Takeda Pharmaceutical Co. and Daiichi Sankyo Co., Ltd. - Sponsored ADR are holding a Zacks Rank of # 2 (Buy). Investors should feel comfortable knowing that both of these stocks have an improving earnings outlook since the Zacks Rank favors companies that have witnessed positive analyst estimate revisions. However, value investors will care about much more than just this.
Value investors also tend to look at a number of traditional, tried-and-true figures to help them find stocks that they believe are undervalued at their current share price levels.
The Value category of the Style Scores system identifies undervalued companies by looking at a number of key metrics. These include the long-favored P/E ratio, P/S ratio, earnings yield, cash flow per share, and a variety of other fundamentals that help us determine a company's fair value.
TAK currently has a forward P/E ratio of 9.51, while DSNKY has a forward P/E of 27.68. We also note that TAK has a PEG ratio of 0.27. This figure is similar to the commonly-used P/E ratio, with the PEG ratio also factoring in a company's expected earnings growth rate. DSNKY currently has a PEG ratio of 1.60.
Another notable valuation metric for TAK is its P/B ratio of 0.98. The P/B ratio pits a stock's market value against its book value, which is defined as total assets minus total liabilities. For comparison, DSNKY has a P/B of 4.32.
Based on these metrics and many more, TAK holds a Value grade of A, while DSNKY has a Value grade of C.
Both TAK and DSNKY are impressive stocks with solid earnings outlooks, but based on these valuation figures, we feel that TAK is the superior value option right now.

QFIN or SYM: Which Is the Better Value Stock Right Now?

Investors looking for stocks in the Technology Services sector might want to consider either Qifu Technology, Inc. (QFIN) or Symbotic Inc. (SYM). But which of these two stocks offers value investors a better bang for their buck right now? We'll need to take a closer look. There are plenty of strategies for discovering value stocks, but we have found that pairing a strong Zacks Rank with an impressive grade in the Value category of our Style Scores system produces the best returns. The proven Zacks Rank emphasizes companies with positive estimate revision trends, and our Style Scores highlight stocks with specific traits. Qifu Technology, Inc. and Symbotic Inc. are sporting Zacks Ranks of #1 (Strong Buy) and #5 (Strong Sell), respectively, right now. This means that QFIN's earnings estimate revision activity has been more impressive, so investors should feel comfortable with its improving analyst outlook. But this is just one factor that value investors are interested in. Value investors also tend to look at a number of traditional, tried-and-true figures to help them find stocks that they believe are undervalued at their current share price levels. Our Value category highlights undervalued companies by looking at a variety of key metrics, including the popular P/E ratio, as well as the P/S ratio, earnings yield, cash flow per share, and a variety of other fundamentals that have been used by value investors for years. QFIN currently has a forward P/E ratio of 6.38, while SYM has a forward P/E of 133.59. We also note that QFIN has a PEG ratio of 0.57. This metric is used similarly to the famous P/E ratio, but the PEG ratio also takes into account the stock's expected earnings growth rate. SYM currently has a PEG ratio of 4.45. Another notable valuation metric for QFIN is its P/B ratio of 2.10. The P/B is a method of comparing a stock's market value to its book value, which is defined as total assets minus total liabilities. By comparison, SYM has a P/B of 37.63. Based on these metrics and many more, QFIN holds a Value grade of A, while SYM has a Value grade of F. QFIN is currently sporting an improving earnings outlook, which makes it stick out in our Zacks Rank model. And, based on the above valuation metrics, we feel that QFIN is likely the superior value option right now. Want the latest recommendations from Zacks Investment Research? The screen returned 12 best of the best stocks. What makes these companies the best? All three are posting record results. Welcome to Episode #447 of the Zacks Market Edge Podcast. Every week, host and Zacks stock strategist, Tracey Ryniec, will be joined by guests to discuss the hottest investing topics in stocks, bonds, and ETFs and how it impacts your life. This week, Tracey is going solo to screen for the 'best of the best' stocks. This screen looks for stocks that have the highest Zacks Rank, the Strong Buy, along with the highest VGM Style Score of A. It combines the power of the Zacks Rank, which includes rising earnings estimates, with top fundamentals, including value, growth and momentum. This is a rare combination. Screening for the Best of the Best This screen includes those that have the top Zacks Rank of #1 which is a Strong Buy. On any given day, there are less than 250 companies that have the #1 Rank. The top Rank usually indicates that the covering analysts are raising their earnings estimates on that company. This can indicate something positive is happening at the company. Additionally, the companies must have the highest Style VGM score of A. The VGM combines the Value, Growth, and Momentum Style Scores into one. It's rare to have a VGM score of A. Running this screen, it returned just 12 stocks. 3 Best of the Best Stocks for Your Short List 1. OppFi Inc.
