Caitlin Clark brings back Shedeur Sanders' signature celebration
Shedeur Sanders' iconic "watch flex" celebration became a trademark of the former Colorado Buffaloes quarterback throughout his final season. Celebrities and top athletes began using the celebration after highlight moments, such as game-winning goals in soccer or home runs in baseball.
The celebration received so much acclaim that it was featured in the EA Sports College Football 25 video game. Thanks to WNBA superstar Caitlyn Clark, Sanders' celebration is back in the spotlight.
Clark paid homage to the Cleveland Browns' rookie quarterback before the Indiana Fever's game against the Chicago Sky. Clark has been absent from the starting lineup recently as she recovers from a left quad strain she suffered against the New York Liberty on May 24.
The former Iowa star seems ready to get back on the court, with her next chance being June 10 against the Atlanta Dream.
Clark and Sanders were arguably the most talked-about college athletes over the past two seasons, as both athletes wrapped up their college careers with significant hype. Clark is in her second season in the WNBA after being the No. 1 overall pick in 2024, while Sanders is entering his first year in the NFL after falling to the fifth round in the NFL draft.
Sanders is competing for the starting quarterback job in Cleveland and impressed Browns' coaches with his performance during OTAs.

Caitlin Clark's Big Flex After Fever's 27-Point Blowout of Angel Reese, Sky
Caitlin Clark's Big Flex After Fever's 27-Point Blowout of Angel Reese, Sky originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Indiana Fever did not even need Caitlin Clark on Saturday night. The reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year's injury absence for Indiana's big game against the Chicago Sky was one of the prevailing storylines heading into the rivalry clash, but as it turns out, the Fever had no trouble taking care of business without their star player. Advertisement Indiana completely dominated the Sky in this one, 79-52, as the Fever secured their second blowout victory against Chicago this season. On top of that, Indiana also secured back-to-back wins after losing their first two games with Clark sidelined. Clark may not have been playing in this one, but she was very active on the bench supporting her teammates. The 23-year-old then took to social media to share her reaction to the Fever's 27-point win over their biggest rivals. Clark flexed Indiana's big win by sharing the Fever's post. She did not add any caption to her Instagram story, instead letting the score speak for itself. Advertisement It was Kelsey Mitchell who led the charge for the Fever in this one, as the two-time All-Star stepped up in a major way with Clark watching from the bench. Mitchell went off for a game-high 17 points and five rebounds in just 25 minutes of action. The good news for Mitchell and the rest of the Fever is that life is about to get much easier for them. Clark herself recently revealed that she is aiming to return from injury in Indiana's next game, which is on Tuesday against the Atlanta Dream. They will now be hoping to improve on their 4-4 record as they look to establish themselves as legitimate title contenders this season. Hailey Van Lith Draws Negative Attention After Chicago Sky's Concerning News Against Fever
Hailey Van Lith Draws Negative Attention After Chicago Sky's Concerning News Against Fever originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Things went from bad to worse for the Chicago Sky on Saturday night as they hosted the Indiana Fever at United Center. Advertisement The Sky lost one of their best players early in the matchup after veteran point guard Courtney Vandersloot had to be carried to the locker room due to a concerning knee injury. The five-time All-Star was unable to return to the game, which led to Chicago coach Tyler Marsh turning to rookie Hailey Van Lith to fill the void. The No. 11 pick of the 2025 WNBA Draft started for Chicago in the second half but did little to impact the game. In the end, the Sky suffered an embarrassing 79-52 blowout loss to a Fever side that did not have the services of the injured Caitlin Clark. Van Lith, in particular, drew criticism on social media following her performance against Indiana. The 5-foot-9 guard finished with seven points on 2-of-5 shooting, two rebounds, a steal, a block and three turnovers in a career-high 26 minutes of action. Advertisement WNBA fans were not exactly impressed with what they saw from Van Lith. "Can someone explain to me why Hailey Van Lith (HVL) is not on the Chicago Sky starting 5 ???????????? 😅😅" a post on X read. "She can't guard a safe !!" said another. "If there was a WNBA G League, Hailey Van Lith would be there," commented a viewer. "Right she got man handled out there," agreed another. "I don't like Hailey Van Lith's game man, Hope she proves me wrong but what I've seen isn't impressive," a reaction read. There is still no official word from the Sky regarding the extent of Vandersloot's injury. However, it would not be surprising if the two-time WNBA champ is forced to miss time because of her knee problem. Advertisement This will likely mean more minutes for Van Lith, with the 23-year-old potentially getting the nod to start if Vandersloot is sidelined. Should this become the case, Van Lith will get an opportunity to prove her naysayers wrong. WNBA Star Angel Reese Got Emotional on Sunday Night
WNBA Star Angel Reese Got Emotional on Sunday Night originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Chicago Sky got some potentially season-defining news on Sunday after it was revealed that five-time All-Star Courtney Vandersloot is done for the year. Advertisement The 36-year-old veteran suffered a knee injury in the Sky's 79-52 blowout loss to the Indiana Fever on Saturday and was unable to return. The team announced on Sunday that Vandersloot had been diagnosed with a torn right ACL and is now set to miss the remainder of the campaign. Sky star Angel Reese took to Instagram to share her reaction to the news. The former LSU star sent a three-word message to Vandersloot saying, "Love you 22." Chicago Sky guard Rebecca Allen (9), guard Ariel Atkins (7), guard Courtney Vandersloot (22), center Kamilla Cardoso (10), and forward Angel Reese (5).Patrick Gorski-Imagn Images That wasn't the only reason why Reese was feeling emotional on Sunday night, though. As it turns out, the 6-foot-3 forward was also celebrating the second birthday of her dog, Tiago King Reese. Advertisement The Sky All-Star posted a couple of photos of her pooch via her Instagram stories along with a heartfelt message. "you're so big now🥺 @tiagoking5 mommy loves you!" she wrote. Reese's dog is a Yorkshire Terrier, which is often affectionately called a "Yorkie." Tiago is a small, toy-sized breed, and as seen in Reese's photo, fits perfectly and so adorably inside his own Louis Vuitton dog carrier. As for her basketball, Reese will now need to step it up even more amid Vandersloot's injury. The Sky will likely take a committee approach in trying to fill the void that their floor general has left. While Reese won't be performing any point guard duties anytime soon, she will likely need to carry a heavier load after a major injury to one of their key players. Advertisement The Sky, who are currently 2-5 this season, return to action Tuesday in a tough matchup against the defending WNBA champions and undefeated New York Liberty.
