MotoAmerica Superbike Racing moves to Peacock with Round 3 at Road America
'MotoAmerica is a great addition to Peacock's expansive and growing portfolio of motorsports properties,' Matt Grassie, Director, Programming & Rights Management, NBC Sports, said in a news release. 'The premier motorcycle road racing series in the U.S., live-streaming MotoAmerica on Peacock will provide fans nationwide with exhilarating, fast-paced competition.'
Most Superbike race weekends feature two races, one on Saturday and another on Sunday. The exceptions are Round 5 at Laguna Seca in Monterey, California, and the season finale at New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville, New Jersey. These rounds feature three races, with two races scheduled as part of their Sunday program.
Cameron Beaubier leads the field into Road America after winning three of the first four races. He swept the weekend at Road Atlanta in early May and split the first round with Jake Gagne at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama, in April.
With three victories, Beaubier holds a 23-point advantage over Gagne, but with 16 races remaining and a maximum of 25 points earned for each victory, the championship is still up for grabs.

Noah Lyles gets shoved by rival Kenny Bednarek after rallying for win in 200
Olympic gold medalist Noah Lyles won the 200-meter national championship on Sunday and got a two-handed shove from rival Kenny Bednarek moments after the thrilling rally in Oregon. Lyles overtook Bednarek in the final strides and turned to stare down the runner-up, who then reached out with both hands to forcefully push the winner away. Before the beef could heat up, Bednarek extended his hand to congratulate Lyles for winning the USA Track and Field Outdoor Championships event and the pair calmly addressed their differences. An NBC Sports camera approached them on the track at Hayward Field and caught the tail end of their chat which seemed to reflect a spat that pre-dated Sunday's race. "If you got a problem, I expected a call," Bednarek said. "That's all I'm saying." Lyles then extended an olive branch as well. "You know what, you're right," Lyles said. "Let's talk after this." Bednarek declined to explain the shove. "I'm not going to say that out here but we got something to do and talk about," he told NBC Sports. "That's all I'm going to say." Lyles' time of 19.63 seconds was .04 better than Bednarek, setting the stage for a rematch in the world championship outdoor meet set for Sept. 19 in Tokyo. Lyles, 28, was one of the breakout stars from Paris last summer, taking gold in the most thrilling races of the 2024 games. Lyles barely nudged out Cashain Thompson to become the first American to take 100 gold since 2004. Lyles then won bronze in the 200, finishing third behind gold medalist Letsile Tebogo of Botswana and the runner-up, Bednarek.

6.9 million watched Chargers-Lions Hall of Fame game
Football is back. And while the numbers are yet to hit regular-season form, a large throng tuned in for a glorified scrimmage involving second- and third-stringers. Via Austin Karp of Sports Business Daily, the Chargers-Lions Hall of Fame game on NBC generated 6.9 million viewers on average for the broadcast. It's the biggest audience for the Hall of Fame game since the 2021 matchup between the Steelers and Cowboys, which averaged 7.31 million. Last year, Bears-Texans on ABC averaged 4.93 million. Of the total number, 691,000 watched on Peacock and NBC Digital. It's the biggest NBC preseason streaming audience ever. Several more preseason games will be nationally televised over the next three weeks. In four weeks and three days, the season gets started with Cowboys-Eagles in Philadelphia. On NBC and Peacock. The number will be much higher than 6.9 million for that one.
