‘Zero tolerance' for attacks at ICE detention centers after cop shot near Texas center, DHS says
The warning came after separate incidents at Department of Homeland Security facilities in Prairieland, Texas, just outside Dallas, and in Portland, Oregon.
A local officer responding to a report of a suspicious person with a gun was shot in Texas Friday night, while in Oregon, demonstrators clashed with federal officers at the Portland ICE facility after President Trump signed his 'One Big Beautiful Bill Act' into law.

'We are closely monitoring the attacks on DHS detention facilities in Prairieland, TX, and Portland, OR, and are coordinating with the [US Attorney offices] and our law enforcement partners,' said Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche on X.
'The Department [of Justice] has zero tolerance for assaults on federal officers or property and will bring the full weight of the law against those responsible.'
The Trump administration is 'closely monitoring' attacks near ICE detention facilities in Texas and Oregon, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said Saturday.

In the Texas incident, several suspects were taken into custody after an Alvarado Police Department officer was shot while responding to a report of a suspicious person near the Prairieland Detention Facility and saw a person with a firearm, CBS News reported.
When police tried to approach the suspects, they opened fire on officers, with at least one bullet hitting the officer in the neck, police said.

The injured officer was flown from the scene to a Fort Worth hospital, was treated and later released, Alvarado cops said.
The suspects tried to flee the scene, but several armed suspects were taken into custody with the help of the Johnson County Sheriff's Office and other authorities.

Trump claims Democrats ‘wanted to vote' for ‘big, beautiful bill'
President Trump claimed during an interview on Saturday that some Democrats in Congress 'wanted to vote' for his ' big, beautiful bill, ' which was signed into law last week. 'And remember this, the Democrats wanted to vote for it, most of them, many of them, because it's all good stuff,' the president said during his appearance on Fox News's 'My View with Lara Trump.' Democrats in both chambers were critical of the reconciliation package, constantly pointing to cuts to Medicaid and food assistance programs. The massive package also includes funds to hire more border patrol agents and customs officers, funding for border wall construction, extends Trump's 2017 tax cuts and will supercharge fossil fuel production. No Democrat voted for the spending package in either chamber. The House eventually passed the bill in a 218-214 vote, with two GOP members, Reps. Thomas Massie (Ky.) and Brian Fitzpatrick (Pa.), voting against it. 'We didn't have one democrat vote because they said, 'don't vote.' And the one thing they do well is they stay together. You're reading stories now, but a lot of them wanted to vote for it, but they couldn't. They couldn't do it,' Trump told host Lara Trump, who is his daughter-in-law. She is married to Trump's son Eric Trump. Later in the interview, the president added of Democrats, 'It's pretty incredible. And they stick together. I admire that.' Border czar Tom Homan delivers stern warning to anti-ICE protesters: 'You want some? Come get some'
Trump administration border czar Tom Homan fired up the crowd at Turning Point USA's Student Action Summit Saturday night when a heckler asked Homan, 'Are you an MS-13 member?' But the heckler's comments added fuel to Homan's fire as he delivered fiery closing remarks, saying, 'Tom Homan is going to run the biggest deportation operation this country has ever seen. Take it to the bank.' 'U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A,' the crowd chanted as Homan exited the stage. About five minutes into Homan's speech, he was interrupted by a heckler who was escorted out by security, lighting a fire for the rest of the speech. Homan had a message to the anti-ICE protesters across the United States, including to those who gathered outside the summit in Tampa, Florida, Saturday night. 'You want some?
