BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Dianne Buswell heartbroken over Chris McCausland as she goes 'solo'
The professional dancer revealed her sadness over her partnership with dance partner, turned friend Chris McCausland as she is left to go 'solo'.
Dianne Buswell has revealed her 'sadness' around her partnership with Chris McCausland as she recently had to go 'solo' without her dancing partner.
The duo, who took part in Strictly Come Dancing, have remained good friends away from the ballroom, since being crowned champions of the BBC One dance competition in December.
More recently, Dianne was once again seen celebrating her joint success with comedian Chris, Strictly's first-ever blind contestant, months after they won the 2024 series of the hit dance show.
Earlier this month, the pair received the Memorable Moment Award - which was voted for by the public - at the 2025 BAFTA Television Awards with P&O Cruises, the Manchester Evening News reports.
Their moving Waltz to the Liverpool anthem You'll Never Walk Alone, which they performed again in the Strictly final, was the routine that earned them the nomination.
In the emotional performance, Dianne stepped away from the ballroom floor to allow Chris to dance on his own, before she returned to spin in his arms in a tear-jerking moment.
As Dianne took to the state to collect the award on her own, as Chris was committed to his stand up tour, Yonks!, which he had already delayed to take part in Strictly in the first place.
While accepting their award, Dianne revealed that Chris had prepped her with a few words on his behalf just in case they won. She said: "Chris did have something he wanted me to say, and that is 'After 22 years in comedy, he wins a Bafta for dancing,"' before joking that he said it "hurts"
Now, Dianne has posted a new photo from the night, looking stunning in a shimmering blue gown that paid homage to the costumes from their award winning performance, as she posed with their blue glass award.
Alongside the post, Dianne wrote: "Love this pic so much taken by @rachell_photo at the @bafta the only thing that makes me sad is Chris is not in it," alongside a blue heart emoji.
"But don't worry I will keep reminding him daily that he won a Bafta for DANCING @chrismccauslandcomedy," she continued.
Fans were quick to take to the comment section, as one wrote: "It also makes me sad that Chris isn't in it, hopefully whenever you two meet up again you can do your own photoshoot together," Dianne replied: "Yessss 100 percent. How perfect if he was there with me."
Meanwhile others were keen to comment to compliment Dianne on her outfit, with one writing: "I think this is my fav pic from the night! Gorg!!" As a second penned: "Beautiful. And so happy for you. Well deserved BAFTA. Huge Congrats and so much love Dianne."
While another fan gushed over the colour of Dianne's dress, stating: "Out of any colour they could've chosen for the Bafta and they went with the blue, it was for sure an absolute sign! forever grateful to the producers who made the decision to partner you both. you deserve every bit of praise and recognition."

Welsh seaside town with cobbled streets and an ancient pub features in Death Valley Viewers of the show may have spotted this Vale of Glamorgan seaside town within the first few seconds of Death Valley's recent episode when a car drove through its streets as it headed to the church for a wedding Llantwit Major became the fictional town of Cwmishel in the latest episode of BBC's Death Valley (Image: BBC ) Llantwit Major has been transformed into the fictional town of Cwmishel for the third episode of Death Valley. Viewers of the show may have spotted the Vale of Glamorgan seaside town within the first few seconds of the latest episode as a car drove through its streets as it headed to the church for a wedding. In this week's episode, which aired on BBC One on Sunday, June 8, Janie (played by Gwyneth Keyworth) was tasked with solving the murder of best man Gethin Bennion the night before the wedding. Gethin's body was found in the graveyard of the church, which some may have spotted as the grounds of St Illtud's Church. And a bit later fans got to see inside the beautiful church. Some may say it is this church that put Llantwit Major on the map. Around the fifth century St Illtud established the oldest seat of Christian learning in Britain. Now the place is a charming little town with its cobbled streets, quaint shops, and eateries and is only a stone's throw away from the seaside. Article continues below Known in Welsh as Llanilltud Fawr this town is about a 40-minute drive from the Welsh capital and about a 25-minute drive from Barry. Its nearby Cwm Colhuw Beach (or Llantwit Major Beach) is the perfect place to go surfing or for a coastal walk. For a decent walk in the area start your journey at the beach car park before embarking on the path that offers spectacular views of the Bristol Channel, 12th-century castle, limestone crags, cliffs and caves hollowed out by the sea, before reaching the Nash Point Lighthouse. This walk, which is great to spot fossils, is also a circular walk and can take you back to Cwm Colhuw Beach. And after that walk you might be fancying a sit-down meal and there are plenty of options in this corner of Vale of Glamorgan. Rosedew Farm's Acorn Café is a popular venue. In 2016 the town's beloved pub The Old Swan Inn underwent a drastic £40,000 makeover. The 12th-century pub is now home to a dedicated restaurant area so you can enjoy a hearty pub meal with your pint. The inn serves dishes such as a slow-cooked pork belly, vegan curry, and the classics including fish and chips and steaks making it the perfect spot that caters for anyone's appetite. Other places to dine or drink include The Old White Hart – the 18th-century pub on the aptly-named Wine Street – while its sister pub Tudor Tavern, just around the corner in Church Street, is just as old. If Italian and Mediterranean dishes are what you're looking for head over to Porto Due nestled in Pound Field. And for your cosy cafés you have Bakehouse in Commercial Street, Café Velo in Church Street, and The Cwtch Restaurant in East Street. Chris Hughes' sweet message for JoJo Siwa as they kiss to celebrate special day
Celebrity Big Brother couple Chris Hughes and JoJo Siwa still look to be going strong as they gushed about each other in their latest loved-up video Chris Hughes' romance with Celebrity Big brother star JoJo Siwa is hotting up even more - as the former Love Island star told her: "You blow my mind every day." The 32-year-old made the declaration in a video posted to 22-year-old's JoJo's Instagram stories. As she shouted out various pals to mark 'National Best Friend's Day', she ended with a clip of her and new boyfriend Chris and captioned the post: "My bestest friend of em all" followed by a white love heart emoji. As JoJo shared more loved up snaps of her and Chris, the pair were seen kissing and cuddling. It comes just a day after JoJo posted a series of snaps from their couples' getaway to the Cotswolds as the pair reunited in the UK to spend some time with Chris' family. The pair were seen messing around visiting horses, with one shot showing Chris pick up JoJo and carry her over his shoulder. In another, the pair sweetly held hands. The duo were also seen enjoying cooked breakfasts, sweet treats and dinners as they continued their blossoming relationship. JoJo captioned the post: "Nothing beats wholesome and pure days like these." The Dance Moms star captioned each of her 11 images on her Instagram upload, explaining how the occasion was the first time she had touched a horse since being thrown off one eight years ago during filming. On one snap of Chris riding a horse, she wrote: "Gorgeous boy riding a gorgeous horse." Revealing how the trip had helped her get over her fear of horses, JoJo said: "I've been scared to be around them haha. Loved this though after I warmed up." In her final picture, JoJo zoomed in on the couple holding each other's hand. She adorably wrote: "The one thing that can make everything better," alongside a white heart emoji. Chris' brother Ben was among those sharing sweet responses to the photo dump in the comments section - and it seems JoJo is a hit with Chris' family. He joked: "Can I take credit for the full English breakfast?? Miss you already!!!" Showing how serious things are getting between them, JoJo recently revealed how she wants to get matching tattoos with Chris as she wants their romance to "last for a lifetime". What started as a close friendship between the pair started to raise eyebrows as the duo got up close and personal on this year's Celebrity Big Brother, frequently kissing on the cheek and even cuddling in the same bed – and JoJo has now confirmed the pair are officially more than friends. Speaking on the Rosebud podcast with Gyles Brandreth, JoJo gushed about what initially drew her to Chris, saying: "When he first walked in, he was the only person that I knew what they looked like before coming into the show. I was, 'Oh that's the Chris guy'. Initially the first thing that I took in about him was he was a good hugger. I liked his hug. That felt like a nice embrace. And he smelt good." Explaining how their feelings naturally deepened over time, she shared: "We just kind of bonded right away and it started very much so as friends. I wasn't looking to fall for him. He wasn't looking to fall for me. We just were having so much fun together." She even admitted she is considering moving to the UK permanently to be with Chris. "I want Chris to last for a lifetime," she gushed. Revealing her 'Chris tattoo' plans, JoJo added: "The Chris tattoo, I said in Big Brother, that I would get this bamboo stick... and I want to get two other tattoos from the Big Brother house of memories that I have from in there." While it's seen as unlucky to get a tattoo of a new partner in case the relationship goes wrong and you are stuck with a daily reminder of them, JoJo is hoping to bypass any consequences by making sure the tattoo is primarily a reminder of her Celeb Big Brother experience. Some fans have questioned whether the relationship is just a PR stunt, but JoJo recently shut those rumours down, telling The Guardian: "It's not platonic any more... I'm absolutely head over heels for him, and he's the same way. Clearly, [the trolls have] never been around us. The happiness in my life just radiates off of me right now."
