Crestfallen NRL star Jackson Hastings is mourning the death of his mother Megan, who he labelled 'my biggest fan and best friend.'

'I can't believe I'm actually sitting here writing this in utter shock and absolute heart break, simply the day no one ever wants to come I've lost a complete half of me, the post began.

'You're the reason I've been successful, you're the reason I'm the brother I am, partner I am, dad I am and hopefully the best son I could have possibly been.
'Not a day has or will go by without me thinking of you. You've made me so fu**ing proud. Your fight, resilience and work ethic is a testament to who you are as a women and that women being my super mum!
I love you so much, I have done and would do anything all over again just to see a smile on your face and give you a hug one more time.

Footy great reveals how he pulled off an INSANE body transformation in just 10 weeks

Former Australian rugby star Drew Mitchell has showcased that he has undergone a sensational 10-week body transformation online. The 41-year-old Wallabies superstar, who hung up his boots in 2016, said he was 'challenged to get into better shape' by the Lockeroom Gym. However, Mitchell, who also played for the Reds, Western Force and the Waratahs, said the results of his training programme were 'pretty surprising', adding that there were several things that have changed in his life that people wouldn't see on Instagram. Mitchell took to the social media platform to publish a picture of himself before and after the training plan. The former footy star looked absolutely chiselled in the later photo, with Mitchell also giving fans a glimpse into his training regime behind during the training block. '10 weeks ago, the team at @lockeroomgym challenged me to get into 'better shape than when I played'!' he wrote in the caption. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Drew Mitchell (@drew_mitchell) 'The results have been pretty surprising, to be honest. Not just the results in these cringy Instagram posts (apologies) but in the things you can't see...' Back in 2024, the former Wallaby flyer opened up exclusively to Daily Mail that he had suffered from anxiety after hanging up his footy boots. He explained that his anxiety began to 'present itself in social environments' while 'little things that I normally wouldn't have been worried about started to become issues to me.' While he has pursued roles in the media, he admitted he lacked focus and discipline that he had experienced while playing professional rugby union. However, Mitchell's new training plan has helped him feel not just good physically but has also improved his mental state and helped to reduce his anxiety. 'Things like, improved sleep, more motivation, better productivity, less brain fog, less anxiety which has led me to feeling better about myself. But Mitchell is not downplaying how hard the training camp has been, with the former winger opening up on some of the toughest parts he found when undertaking the training camp. 'It was hard!! Early starts, discipline to say no to things, what to eat and drink (and what not to), getting my daily steps in, feeling hungry etc,' he explained. 'But it was nice to know that I'm still able to lock in when I want to achieve something. 'Thank you to everyone at @lockeroomgym ! Obviously, all the trainers who helped/supported/pushed me, led by @dom_costello_1 but also all of the other clients who encouraged me along the way.' Mitchell, who hails from New South Wales, began playing his footy with the Queensland Reds. He'd go on to be selected by Australia after just one season of Super Rugby, in which he scored 11 tries. In the later years of his career, Mitchell would move to France to play for Toulon, making 82 appearances in the Top 14. The team at Lockeroom also teamed up with InBody Oceana, an award-winning body composition technology company that has been helping Mitchell track his progress. 'Whilst my @inbodyoceania often had me nervous for my weekly check-in scan, they are amazing to keep you accountable,' Mitchell wrote. 'The entire challenge was documented and will be released soon, showing exactly how we did it.

Skye Wheatley reveals the real reason she was dropped from Big Brother and how a sex scandal saw her reality television comeback fail

Skye Wheatley has opened up about the reason she was dropped from the 14th season of Big Brother Australia. The reality star, who featured in the 11th season of the show, revealed on the Nova podcast Skye & Callum that she was initially set to appear on the series before an 'online scandal' saw her get the axe. 'I got hit up to go back on [Big Brother] and then basically this big online scandal thing happened… it blew up,' she told her co-host and Love Island alum Callum Hole, 27. 'Got heaps of hate. You know, all my sponsors were dropping me. It was a f**ked time in my life… 'Got an email the next day from the producers, and they were like, "hey, sorry. We've decided not to put her in the mix,'" the 30-year-old said. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. So what scandal saw Skye booted from a second shot on Big Brother? Two weeks before filming, Skye did an Instagram Q&A on her Story where she answered a question about her longtime partner Lachlan Waugh that rubbed her fans the wrong way. Skye and Lachlan, who share two sons, Forest, five, and Bear, three, have been together for eight years. When asked by a fan who was dominant in the bedroom, Skye replied that if she was in the mood, she 'wasn't going to take 'no' for an answer', adding that her partner actually liked it when she was the one who initiated sex. However, the comment received fierce backlash online, with many up in arms over the fact that she was 'making' her boyfriend have non-consensual sex. At the time, Skye slammed her fans for 'twisting' her words and ended up issuing an apology. However, the throwaway comment saw her lose the deal with Channel 10 and a shot at a second time around on the popular reality series. Reflecting on the scandal, Skye said that the moment left her 'heartbroken' and devastated, with her mum even admitting that she lost her sparkle after the opportunity fell through. She added that the network never disclosed why they decided to cut her at the last minute, however she did get a tip-off about a contributing factor. 'Get this, after I'm A Celeb (I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here), Ben Morris interviewed me and he said that apparently Tim Dormer, which was another Big Brother guy who was going in the house that year…' she said. 'Apparently he said, "if you put Skye in the house, I'm not doing it." 'So they obviously chose him,' she revealed. Wheatley recently made a surprising admission about her sexuality. The former reality star confessed she may be 'pansexual' and would have explored that side of herself more if she had never started dating Lachlan. Skye agreed, revealing she learned about pansexuality while watching the Stan reality TV show, Love Triangle. 'I didn't know what pansexuality was until watching this show,' she said. 'But basically you are attracted to the person's personality, not what sex they are… you could be attracted to anyone, but you're attracted to their personality.'
