A US teen's tearful eulogy to her mother and stepfather helped police charge her with their murder.
Kristin Brock, 41 and her husband James, 45, were found with fatal gunshot wounds at their home in Carrollton, Georgia on February 20.
Sarah Grace Patrick, 17, was arrested and charged with murder on Tuesday.
The high school student turned herself in after a warrant was issued for her arrest, according to The Carroll County Sheriff's Office.
Patrick, who was 16 when her mum and step-dad died, faces two counts of murder and two counts of aggravated assault and has been charged as an adult.
'Mountains of physical and digital evidence' led to Patrick being charged – including her eulogy at the funeral, according to authorities.
The speech was filmed and later shared with the Daily Mail, who spoke to James's niece Krysten Dowda.
Ms Dowda, 34, said she thought at the time the crying seemed 'fake'.
She described the 'feeling of being at a funeral to say goodbye to someone you loved and thinking to yourself, 'am I actually witnessing the person that murdered them, standing up here in front of everyone and fake crying about them?'
'Does anyone else see this person doing a crying voice but never shed a single tear?'
Ms Dowda said when someone shared the video she immediately saved it because 'I knew one day everyone would get to see this for what it was'.
She said she first became suspicious of the teenager after the shock of the deaths wore off, and Patrick began sharing details of the deaths on social media and her story would change.
She also reportedly told a friend she didn't hear anything unusual that night apart from the alarm of her stepdad's heart machine, which would have been triggered by his death.
'How do you not hear multiple gunshots in a small house?', Ms Dowda said.
In the footage, Patrick stands on stage at the Catalyst church in Carrollton, where the Brocks family often attended.
As her voice appears to crack from emotion, she says: 'For those of you who don't know me, my name is Sarah, and I am Kristen Brock's daughter and James Brock's stepdaughter.'
Her voice appeared to crack with emotion as she told the congregation: 'This isn't easy…I am really happy I get to do this but just bear with me because I stutter a lot.
'I just wanted to say goodbye to my mom and James since we never got the chance to.'
Speaking directly to her parents, she goes on to say: 'I was so used to you guys always being here that I…never would have thought that y'all would not be here and I didn't have a single clue about how much I needed y'all until now.'
She thanked her mother 'for all the life lessons you taught me' and praising her mom as a 'beautiful kind soul with so much gratitude'.
Speaking about her step-father's congestive heart failure, she said: 'Your heart will be finally healed in heaven and none of y'all will be in any pain anymore.
'Although that gives me so much comfort, your life was not supposed to end there.'
Ms Dowda said she left the funeral as soon as it was over and didn't really acknowledge Patrick as her apparent fake crying had made her mad.
She said she was speaking out now because people had bullied the family, describing Patrick as 'just a little girl' and she wants to make it clear that a 'monster can be a little girl in a dress'.
Ms Dowda said she had previously known Patrick as 'very sweet, soft spoken and polite'
Patrick's father Doniel Patrick was with her when she handed herself in anddefended his daughter on Facebook.
'I'll always be in your corner,' he wrote, adding: 'Never dobt your place in this world. You were sent here with purpose, wrapped in grace and born to shine in ways only your soul knows how.'

Ukraine avenges death of one-year-old in 'human safari' by Russian forces

To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video The Ukrainian army has said they 'avenged' the slaughter of a toddler who was executed by Vladimir Putin's troops. One-year-old Dmytryk was killed in an alleged game of 'human safari' by Russian drone pilots in the Kherson region. The boy, just 14 months old, had been playing in the yard of his home when the UAV crashed, piercing his heart with shrapnel on July 9. Dmytryk had been playing with his grandmother, Halyna, 64, when he was killed. She recalled: 'I just jumped out and ran at full speed… I was sitting nearby, not far away, [seven or ten feet] from him. I heard the wind whistling, and then I heard a loud bang. 'When I turned my head, it was flying straight towards us. I was sitting here and heard the noise, turned my head, and saw it flying. I quickly jumped out of there. My husband picked him up – but he was already dead.' Ukrainian senior military official Oleksandr Prokudin said the boy, raised by his father and grandmother, was killed by Russia – mercilessly and deliberately. Now, Ukraine has said they 'avenged' his death, killing the drone operators who attacked the small village of Pravdyne where the tot lived. This attack with a Molniya drone had been launched from Hola Prystan, a Russian-occupied settlement. 'The location of the Russian war criminals' unit was also identified – a five-story non-residential building,' a statement from the general staff in Ukraine said. Five FPV drones were launched through the windows of the floor where the Russian personnel had been located, they said. 'After that, no further launches of Russian drones were observed from the building. Our soldiers will avenge every Russian bast**d who came here to spread death,' they added. Residents near the frontline often face 'human safari' hunts by Putin's forces. Volodymyr Zelensky's top aide, Andriy Yermak, said: 'This wasn't an accident. This was a manhunt. 'The operator watched a child playing through his drone camera, and he attacked in cold blood.' The attack came in the same week as the Russians hit a maternity hospital and a hospice for terminally ill orphans. In new weekend attacks, the Russians hit and damaged a hospital and kindergarten in Sloviansk with an Iranian-designed Shahed drone. More Trending Today, Donald Trump said he would punish Russia with tariffs if there is no deal to end the war in Ukraine within 50 days. The US president announced it during an Oval Office meeting with Nato secretary General Mark Rutte. 'We're going to be doing very severe tariffs if we don't have a deal in 50 days,' Trump said. He did not provide specifics on how the tariffs would be implemented. Get in touch with our news team by emailing us at webnews@ For more stories like this, check our news page.

British women beaten and stamped on in row over bill at Turkish restaurant

Footage has been shared of staff at a restaurant in Turkey repeatedly punching and kicking two British women as they lie on the pavement. The video shows the men attacking the tourists on June 2 outside Mad Boys, in Marmaris on June 2, after a row reportedly broke out over an unpaid bill. Earlier in the footage, one of the women, who is wearing a green dress, is also seen pushing and hitting one of male employees around the head with her handbag. The clip begins with a heated verbal argument that then escalates and turns physical. At one point the women fall to the ground and a number of men attack them as they lie there. One even jumps through an open window to join in. People can be heard shouting in the background as the brawl unfolds. Police were called to the scene, but since neither party filed a complaint at the time the matter was closed. However, when the video was shared online it caused widespread criticism and lead to a police investigation being opened. Five members of staff were found to have been involved in the brawl and were detained and the restaurant was closed indefinitely. The restaurant manager told Turkish newspaper AKŞAM that a family of five had caused an argument by not paying the 5,000 TL bill (£92). He said the tourists provoked the staff by insulting Turks and the Turkish flag, and then attacked them. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video In a statement on the incident, the Marmaris District Governor's Office , said: 'It should be known that violence against women is completely unacceptable in Muğla. 'Our state stands firmly against all forms of violence against women. 'Judicial and administrative investigations into the business and its employees are being meticulously conducted, and all developments are being closely monitored.' Several people expressed their shock at the staff's behaviour on social media. More Trending One person wrote: 'Shocking! Even if the customers were completely in the wrong, it absolutely gives the staff no right to react that way. 'Especially a group of men kicking and punching women when they're cowering on the floor. I thought I'd seen it all until now. Get them closed down and gone and restore the Marmaris we use to love!' Another posted: 'This is absolutely wild. This place needs closing down. I love Marmaris and am a 32 year visitor. I don't go to armutalan or any of these kinds of places but I'm shocked at seeing grown men kicking a woman in the street!' It is not clear if the women sustained injuries in the attack. Get in touch with our news team by emailing us at webnews@ For more stories like this, check our news page. Tenant left mountain of 3,000 beer cans in flat and only paid rent once

To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video A couple who let their two-bedroom flat to a tenant from hell found their property destroyed and littered with 3,000 empty beer cans. Landlords Sandra Considine, 58, and husband Chris, 70, rented their property in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, to a 'friend in need' for £30 a week in 2018. But they were quickly blocked from returning to their property for seven years by the man, who never left and refused to pay any rent. The unnamed tenant finally left the flat in January this year, leaving Sandra and Chris to confront the disgusting interior on their own. The couple walked in to find their flat in an 'inhumane' state of squalor, with thousands of beer cans – many filled with urine – in every room, along with human excrement and empty takeaway boxes. The tenant also caused thousands of pounds worth of damage to the walls, carpets, kitchen applicances, furniture and bathroom. The disgusted couple say the whole apartment smells like 'stale urine' and they are now facing a hefty cleaning bill on top of the cost of fixing the damage. Chris, who has been diagnosed with incurable cancer and had to give up work, says he is too ill to deal with the aftermath alongside his wife, who is also frail. 'You just can't believe it when you see it. We can only guess how many cans there were amongst the rubbish, it must be thousands,' he said. 'Because they've been there that long, it's eroded the can metal because the wee is like acid. Thankfully, most of the human waste was tied up in bags, so at least that was something, but the state he was living in was inhumane.' Grandmother-of-three Sandra added: 'We got access in June, and what we found was horrible. It was filled with thousands of cans, all dumped in every room. 'It's waist height, a mixture of all sorts, it's shocking. You can't move stuff in case a can falls because they're full of fluids. It's ever such a long job.' Sandra said they had to clear a lot of the mess quickly because of the heatwave, which made the smell even worse. The tenant was a colleague of Chris's at his former employer, DPD, who had fallen on hard times and was about to be made homeless. Feeling bad for their friend, the couple moved him into their flat to keep him off the streets with the agreement that he'd help paint the walls. Sandra added: 'I felt sorry for the lad, my husband knew him from work. Apparently he was living in a tent before he moved in. We had this flat we bought for one of the daughters and thought why not move him in there temporarily. 'The idea was that he was going to help us do it up. I asked him to pay £30 a week to cover the service charge and ground rent, which I thought was reasonable. I think he paid it once.' After the time for him to stay in the flat had passed, Sandra said he kept stalling – but given they never had a written tenancy agreement, she couldn't evict him. 'I just got so bloody fed up with it, he seemed to know his rights. I never thought of myself as a landlord, not for one minute. It just went on and on and on,' she said. More Trending 'We were trying to be kind, but in the end, we just feel utterly exploited. I just hope I don't have to pay for the water and electricity bills he's built up.' The couple's daughter Rose Considine, 25, has since started a GoFundMe to help the family who don't have the financial ability to pay for professional cleaners. Rose, a mum-of-one, said: 'Every single room of this flat was ruined. There are five rooms in total, and all are ruined. They let him in as a good will gesture, to get him back on his feet, and then he just completely cut off contact. 'They have been completely mugged and taken advantage of for the last seven years, and I hope we can raise a bit of money to give them some relief after the whole nightmare ordeal.'
