Everyone's favorite mischievous duo, Lilo and Stitch, are back in Lilo & Stitch, Disney's reimagining of the beloved 2002 film of the same name. If you want to watch the film again or are waiting to see it at home, read on to learn how long you might have to wait for Lilo & Stitch to arrive on Disney+ and digital.
Most people are familiar with the history of the beloved franchise, which began with the 2002 animated film and later expanded into several spinoffs and a 2003 TV series. 'Lilo & Stitch is the wildly funny and touching story of a lonely Hawaiian girl and the fugitive alien who helps to mend her broken family," the official synopsis reads.
Writer and creator Chris Sanders, who also voiced the original Stitch, reprises his role in the live-action film alongside returning cast members Tia Carrere, Amy Hill, and Jason Scott Lee. Eight-year-old Hawaiian breakout star Maia Kealoha makes her debut as Lilo Pelekai, while Sydney Agudong plays Lilo's older sister Nani.
'It's a family film. That's why there's longevity and timelessness to it because its themes are timeless,' Agudong told Deadline. "The way that the movie is based in Hawaii is perfect because I feel there's no better place to represent family in the way that I think it doesn't matter if you're related by blood or if you come from a different country or what you look like. You're always going to find somewhere that you belong."
Lilo & Stitch is slated to have an impressive four-day opening weekend at the box office. Projections are estimating that the film will earn between $170 million and $180 million, surpassing a holiday record previously held by Paramount's Top Gun: Maverick. On Friday alone, the film made around $56 million to $59 million, according to Variety.
So far, the film holds a 70% critics score and a 93% audience rating from more than 2,500 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. Keep reading to find out how to watch the film and when it will likely arrive on streaming platforms.

For example, Moana 2 premiered in theaters in November 2024 and became available on Disney+ just over three months later (105 days) in March 2025. The recent Disney sequel Mufasa: The Lion King had a slightly shorter theatrical window (96 days) but still debuted on Disney+ more than three months after its release.

Before subscribers can watch Lilo & Stitch (2025) on Disney+, the movie will be available to purchase and rent on digital video-on-demand (VOD) platforms, including Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, and YouTube TV.
Studios typically wait 45 to 65 days after a movie's theatrical premiere to release it digitally. The earliest Lilo & Stitch could be released digitally is around July 7, 2025.

Nintendo Switch 2 Launch: What to Know Before You Get Yours
Scott Stein/CNET The Nintendo Switch 2 goes on sale tonight, but I've got a Switch 2 and some other gear right now, and am getting a feel for the hardware as fast as I can. The Switch 2 box is pretty compact, and it's similar-looking to the original Switch. The dock is thick, but similar to previous Switch docks. This one has its own cooling fan, with HDMI, USB-C and Ethernet ports inside, and two USB-A ports outside. I'll be setting up the Switch 2 soon, will have thoughts on how everything works! The magnetically-snapping Joy-Cons are already a lot easier to swap on and off.
