While lifting the ban, the high priests instructed him to strictly adhere to Akal Takht-approved Sikh Rehat Maryada, traditions, and historical Sakhis (orally narrated historical account generally pertaining to times of Sikh Gurus).
It was in 2020 that the Akal Takht had asked the community to maintain distance from Dhadrianwale for misinterpreting 'Gurbani' and rejecting Sikh customs until he tendered an apology.
Dhadrianwale is seen to be a rival of Harnam Singh Dhuma, the head of Sikh seminary Damdami Taksal.
In another decision, the Sikh high priests directed Sant Singh, president of the management committee of Gurdwara Sahib Baba Buddha Ji in Hamilton, Canada, to appear before Akal Takht in the case of the alleged harassment of Parminderpal Kaur, wife of Gurpreet Singh.

His repentance was accepted with the condition that he perform daily recitations of two Japji Sahib and two Chaupai Sahib paths for 11 days and offer "Karah Prasad" worth Rs 501 at Gurdwara Bangla Sahib Delhi upon completion of the sewa, according to the resolution.
Former Jathedar of Takht Sri Damdama Sahib, Giani Gurmukh Singh, also sought forgiveness for his role in controversial pardon to Dera Sirsa head Gurmeet Ram Rahim. The Sikh high priests accepted his apology on the condition that he performed daily sewa (voluntary service) of dishwashing at Sri Guru Ramdas Ji Langar and the shoe service for one hour each.
In another resolution, the Sikh high priests held an employee of Gurdwara Sri Rakabganj Sahib, Delhi, guilty of immoral conduct with a female employee and declared him no longer eligible to hold any service in the institution.

Uttarakhand mulls minority status for non-Muslim educational institutions
Dehradun : The Uttarakhand Minority Educational Institutions Bill, 2025, was approved by the state cabinet on Sunday for tabling in the upcoming monsoon assembly session scheduled to be held on Tuesday at the summer capital in Gairsain of Chamoli district. The bill seeks to extend minority status to non-Muslim educational institutions in the state. Sikh, Jain, Christian, Buddhist and Parsi communities will also be eligible to establish and run institutions with minority recognition under the proposed law that the cabinet, chaired by CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, cleared. Officials said the legislation is designed to create a transparent and modern process for granting such status while ensuring quality benchmarks in education. The Bill provides for the creation of Uttarakhand State Minority Education Authority, which will serve as the nodal body to process applications and grant recognition. The authority will also be responsible for monitoring institutions to ensure compliance with the standards prescribed by the Uttarakhand Board of School Education and for maintaining fairness in student assessment. 'Once enacted, Uttarakhand will become the first state in the country to bring in a law that not only grants minority status but also lays down clear provisions to ensure academic excellence, accountability and protection of the constitutional rights of minority communities,' a senior state government official said on condition of anonymity. Under the new framework, recognition will be mandatory for all educational institutions set up by Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain or Parsi communities. Institutions will be required to be registered under the Society Act, Trust Act or Company Act, and their properties and bank accounts must be maintained in the name of the institution itself. According to officials, the law will streamline a process that until now lacked uniformity and bring it under a single accountable authority. While it seeks to safeguard the autonomy of minority institutions, the government will retain powers to oversee their functioning and issue directions when necessary. 'The bill balances independence with accountability. The emphasis will remain on transparency and quality in education, but without infringing upon the institutional rights of minority communities,' the official added. Officials further said the legislation is expected to not only strengthen the recognition process but also raise the overall quality of education in minority-run institutions, benefitting both students and the communities involved.

I-Day celebrated with fervour and community participation
1 2 Kanpur: The 79th Independence Day was celebrated in the city with full patriotic fervour and dedication. The national flag was hoisted at all government buildings and residential houses under the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign, as well as in schools and colleges across the district. Exports to US likely saw 7x faster growth vs overall rise

Frontloading of consignments by Indian exporters to beat higher duties - first in April, when reciprocal tariffs were announced, and now - may have resulted in goods exports to the US rising seven times faster than the overall growth. During April-July, goods exports to the US jumped 21% to $33.5 billion, when overall exports grew 3% to $149.2 billion, the latest commerce department data showed. Although a 22% share of India's shipments does make Indian exports more vulnerable to the prospect of 50% additional duties, the high growth has given at least some of them the headroom to offer some discount, in case the 25% additional levy announced by Trump does kick in from Aug 27. Keeping an eye on US-Russia talks "We have spent the last week talking to buyers and in case of old buyers we are looking at some additional discount to retain the business even if it means that we have to pay out of our pockets for sometime. Order book was good in April-May, business generally was looking up because of the overall sentiment due to China+1. The sudden brakes will result in deceleration," added AEPC's Sekhri.
