Kapil Sharma Jokes About Archana Puran Singh's Marriage: 'She Does EMI-Wala Love With Parmeet Sethi'
Kapil Sharma had fans in splits on the Independence Day special of The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 3, focusing on a funny jab at Archana Puran Singh and her husband, Parmeet Sethi. The episode also featured musical stars Neeti Mohan, Shaan, Vishal Dadlani, and Shekhar Ravjiani, adding music, anecdotes, and laughs to the celebrations.
Welcoming Neeti Mohan on stage, Kapil said, 'Whenever I see Neeti, she is so sweet and sings so nicely. I still remember her first song, 'Ishqwala Love'. You know, Neeti, there is something called EMI wala love too that Archanaji does with her husband, Parmeet Sethi."
He added, 'She buys whatever she likes from the market, and he keeps paying the EMIs for them. 3-4 weeks back, when she went to see a match, she brought Sidhuji, now Netflix is paying his EMI." Cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu returned to the show after a sabbatical since 2019.
Sidhu revealed he agreed to join the Netflix India show only if Archana Puran Singh stayed on. 'When it came to Archana Puran Singh, I just said one thing, 'I am a devotee of Goddess Durga, how can I be the reason for her losing her job?' I requested the makers to keep her, and now we will both appear on the show together. We are finally back together. All of us, Sunil Grover, Krushna Abhishek, we are all part of the same engine," he said.
Meanwhile, Kapil Sharma has been making headlines ever since the second attack happened at his café in Canada.
After a second round of gunfire targeted his café in Canada, a new audio recording from gangster Harry Boxer, linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, surfaced on social media.
In the threatening audio, Harry Boxer warned that anyone who worked with Salman Khan will die. 'The first and now second firing at Kapil Sharma's restaurant happened because he had invited Salman Khan to the inauguration on a Netflix show," Harry is heard saying in the audio clip.
While Salman Khan has long lived under police protection due to repeated threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang—especially after the blackbuck poaching case—this is the first time such clear, public intimidation has extended to someone simply for working with him.

War 2 box office collection day 4 (updated live): Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR film sees a surprising drop, crosses ₹150 crore
War 2 box office collection: War 2 is having a topsy-turvy time at the box office, to say the least. The Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR-starrer began on an underwhelming note on Thursday, before it finally picked up pace on Friday, courtesy the Independence Day holiday. But since then, the film has slowed down, showing a surprising drop over the remainder of its extended opening weekend. War 2 box office collection day 4: Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR headline this YRF spy thriller. War 2 box office update War 2 earned ₹142.60 crore net ( ₹170 crore gross) in India in its first three days. This included a worrying 42% drop on Saturday, across both the Hindi and Telugu versions. The trend seems to be continuing on Sunday. According to Sacnilk, by 4 pm on Sunday, War 2 had earned ₹15.56 crore net. This is a slowdown that may hurt the film's lifetime haul. However, despite the slowdown, the initial momentum has meant that War 2 has now crossed ₹150 crore worldwide in four days. On Saturday, the film also crossed ₹200 crore gross worldwide on the back of a decent showing overseas. However, given that the Ayan Mukerji film has a reported landing cost of around ₹400 crore, it still has a long way to go before it breaks even. War 2 vs Coolie box office Rajinikanth's Coolie, which released in theatres on the same day as War 2, seems to be winning the box office clash, despite getting fewer screens across India. Coolie has already crossed ₹170 crore, and will reach the ₹200 crore mark much quicker. In addition, its overseas collection ($16 million) is much higher than War 2's $5 million. All about War 2 War 2 is part of the YRF Spy Universe, which includes Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan and Salman Khan's Tiger series. The film's post-credits scene features Bobby Deol setting up the Spy Universe's next release, Alpha. That film will star Alia Bhatt and Sharvari in lead, and will release this December.

Playing villain is so much fun: Piper Perabo
Agency: PTI Last Updated: Los Angeles, Aug 17 (PTI) 'Covert Affairs" star Piper Perabo says essaying a negative character in spy thriller series 'Butterfly" has been a 'fun and relaxing" experience for her. Perabo portrayed the role of Juno, the evil head of a private intelligence corporation in South Korea, in the Prime Video series. Also starring Daniel Dae Kim, the series made its debut on the streamer on August 13. 'Playing the villain is so much fun…I think the villains in Hollywood keep that secret to themselves so that they don't have to give up the great parts," the 48-year-old actor told Variety in an interview. 'I think it's so relaxing. The getaway car pulls up to you, there's no running. You have an endless supply of weapons. It's very relaxing," she added. Directed by Kim Jin-min, Jann Turner, and Kitao Sakurai, the series comprised six episodes and got mixed responses from the audience. It is based on the graphic novel series of the same name, and follows David (Kim), Juno's former partner, who comes out of hiding to save his daughter, Rebecca (portrayed by Reina Hardesty). The back story follows David leaving Rebecca in Juno's care nine years earlier, after one of his missions goes wrong and he has no option but to fake his death. Speaking of character, Perabo said, 'I like how clear Juno's sense of purpose is." 'I always think of her like when you were a kid and you're on the athletic fields and there's this parent on the sidelines who's screaming at their kid and just humiliating them and pushing them. That's who I think Juno is," she added.
