World Cup of Darts format
The top four ranking nations, based on the lowest cumulative PDC Order of Merit ranking of the two players, will be seeded and begin their campaigns in the second round.
England, along with Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, are the four seeded nations at this year's tournament.
The 36 other teams are split into 12 groups of three for the round-robin phase, from which each group winner will progress.
Each group will contain one seeded nation that is outside the top four, who progress automatically.
The four seeded nations will be pre-allocated into the draw for the last-16, with the 12 group winners drawn at random.
The second round will take place across two sessions on Saturday, followed by a blockbuster Finals Day on Sunday, which will feature the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final.

Welsh Warriors
England are the favourites, but Wales pair Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton are 'ready to do damage' at this year's World Cup of Darts.
Speaking to BBC Sport Wales, Clayton said: "All the talk is about the two Lukes, but I'm sure me and Gez can do something about that," said Clayton.
"Gezzy is a great front runner and I think I'm a pretty good number two, so we click as a team.
"Hopefully we will do some damage this year. If we can lift that trophy for a third time it'd be great."

Double dose of Luke
Teen sensation Luke Littler and Premier League winner Luke Humphries are undoubtedly the favourites.
And they'll be determined to retain England's title from last year's 10-6 win against Austria.

Welcome to SunSport's coverage of the World Cup of Darts
Darts lovers will have something to cheer about over the next four days as the World Cup of Darts gets underway today - and we'll be all over it!
The men's England football team failed to bring it home during the Euro 2024, but Luke Humphries and Michael Smith made the nation proud in last year's World Cup of Darts.
A combination of composure and superb throwing saw Cool Hand and Bully Boy beat their Austrian opponents 10-6 in an epic final.
And it was a result that wrote England's name in the history books as they now hold the record for the most amount of wins in the iconic competition with five.
Sadly for Smith, his world ranking positioning means he will miss out on the chance to retain back-to-back titles.
However, he has a more than capable replacement of 2024 Premier League winner and teen millionaire, Luke Littler.
Welsh stars Jonny Clayton and Gerwyn Price will pose a huge threat to England's title, and Gary Anderson and Peter Wright should also fancy themselves.
But as for the Netherlands, they have suffered a massive blow to their chances with Michael van Gerwen pulling out of all upcoming tournaments due to his split with wife Daphne.

Like father, like son! Cristiano Ronaldo, 40, and son Cristiano Jr, 14, show off their matching ripped physiques as they cause social media stir

Cristiano Ronaldo and his son Cristiano Jr proudly showed off their matching ripped physiques as they posed together for a photo. Ronaldo sported a bare-bodied look alongside his son, who will turn 15 next week, and shared the picture on Instagram to his 657 million followers. The post, accompanied by the caption 'Tal pai tal filho', which translates as 'like father, like son' has already been liked over three million times. Clad in red shorts, Ronaldo tensed for the camera, revealing he remains shredded even at the age of 40, while his son, wearing blue shorts, followed suit. An aspiring footballer, Cristiano Jr is keen to follow in the footsteps of his father, who recently broke down in tears after winning the Nations League with Portugal. There was more success in the Ronaldo household when Cristiano Jr was capped by Portugal's U-15s for the first time, wearing the No 7 shirt made famous by his dad. Ronaldo said he was 'very proud' of his eldest son after he made his debut during the 4-1 win over Croatia in the Vlatko Markovic International Tournament. The talented 14-year-old was cheered on by his grandmother Dolores Aveiro, Ronaldo's mother, and was also reportedly watched by scouts from Manchester United and several other elite European clubs, including Tottenham. Five-time Ballon d'Or winner Ronaldo said on Instagram: 'Congratulations on your debut for Portugal, son. Very proud of you.' Cristiano Jr later scored twice for Portugal in the final of the tournament and celebrated just like his dad, wheeling off to perform the iconic leap and 'siu' shout. Ronaldo has made no secret of his desire to play on the same pitch as his son one day, but he also stressed he would not pressure him. 'I would like it, I would like it,' said Ronaldo. 'It's not something that keeps me awake at night but we'll see. It's more in his hands than mine. 'The years are starting to go by and one day I'll have to let it go. There will come a time when it is no longer possible. Not only physically but also psychologically.'

Sam Thompson and Louis Tomlinson could be set for an awkward encounter as England team-mates (Image: Soccer Aid 2025/PA Wire ) ‌ The 32-year-old enthusiastically answered: "Loads. Tom Grennan. I'm really looking forward to playing alongside Wayne Rooney. Tyson Fury's the manager. I can't wait." In another light-hearted dig, Wicks replied: "'I mean that's gonna be f****** amazing. Make sure you get him (Fury) on side, though, because you may need him in your corner in case you fall out with anyone. Not that you will but just in case there's any rivalries or anything. All sorts gets brought up." Meanwhile, Thompson has already been busy raising money for UNICEF.
