Police charge suspect in overnight Franklin County shooting

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) — Police are seeking a man accused of attempted homicide in a Franklin County shooting overnight.
Broderick Reshod Fields, 28, of Chambersburg, is wanted on felony attempted homicide among other charges.

According to Chambersburg Police, officers were called to a shots fired call in the area of the 100 block of Central Avenue around 2:30 a.m. Saturday morning.
One person had been shot and injured.
Fields has been charged in connection with the shooting.
Anyone with information as to his whereabouts is asked to call Chambersburg Police at 717-264-4131.

He is considered armed and dangerous, police said.

According to police, the crimes occurred between 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. on Christmas morning 2024 when a dark gray Mazda CX3 with Washington license plate BSD5166 was stolen by a 'Grinch' from the Woodburn Neighborhood then used to drive around the area to prowl other vehicles. (WHTM) — Four Pennsylvania men are facing charges in connection with the theft of over $80 million in U.S. Treasury checks. The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania announced Wednesday charges against four men from the Philadelphia area: Tauheed Tucker, 23, and Saahir Irby, 27, both of Philadelphia; Cory Scott, 25, of Ardmore; and Alexander Telewoda, 25, of Clifton Heights. The men are facing felony conspiracy to steal government funds, theft of government funds, and mail theft charges. According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, Irby and Tucker were working as mail processing clerks for the U.S. Postal Service between June 2023 and Sept. 2024. They are accused of intercepting and swiping thousands of envelopes containing U.S. Treasury checks from mail sorting machines at the USPS Philadelphia processing center. The men then allegedly sold them to Scott and Telewoda, who then resold the checks on Telegram. They were mailed to buyers across the country who attempted to cash them. In total, $80 million in checks were allegedly stolen, $11 million of which were cashed. The six-count indictment against 26-year-old Robert A. Pepus of Garrettsville, Ohio, of travelling across state lines to meet up with a minor to engage in sexual activity, creating and possessing CSAM between September and October 2024.
