Esha Deol drops FIRST PIC with ex-husband Bharat Takhtani after their divorce, on Father's day: 'Dada to my babies'
and Bharat Takhtani announced their divorce in early 2024. They were dating since they were in school. But they separated in their teens. They rekindled their romance again and got married.
They had tied the knot in 2012 and have two daughters - Radhya and Miraya. However, they mutually decided to part ways.
They shared a joint statement to announce their divorce which read, "We have mutually and amicably decided to part ways. Through this shift in our lives, the best interests and welfare of our two children are and will be of utmost importance to us. We'd appreciate that our privacy is respected."
However, they co-parent their children.
On Father's day, Esha shared first picture with Bharat after their divorce, thus depicting that they have mutual respect for each other as parents even after their separation. She shared a photo with her father Dharmendra and Bharat. The 'Dhoom' actress wrote, "Happy Father's Day. Here with my darling papa & Dada to my babies."
A while ago, in an interview, Esha had shared how they co-parent their children after divorce. She had told Mamarazzi, "It's just that in life, sometimes, due to certain things, roles change. And if it doesn't work out in a certain equation of what two people were at one point, you must take it upon yourself, especially when you have children. The two mature individuals must take it upon themselves to work out another dynamic but keep the unit together for the sake of the children.
And that's exactly what Bharat and I do."
On work front, Esha recently made her comeback to the movies with Vikram bhatt's 'Tujhe Meri Kasam'.
