Brazil 's Botafogo secured a surprising 1-0 victory over European champions Paris Saint-Germain in a Club World Cup match at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.
Despite PSG dominating possession, Botafogo's resolute defense held firm, marking the first competitive meeting between the two clubs.
The decisive goal came in the 36th minute when Igor Jesus scored for Botafogo, with his shot deflecting off PSG's Willian Pacho.
This shock win ended PSG's impressive streak of scoring in 19 consecutive games, making Botafogo the first team to prevent them from scoring since March.
