‘Tu bahar mil, dekhte hain zinda kaise jayegi': Convict, lawyer threaten woman judge at Delhi court after verdict
A woman judge was threatened and abused by a convict and his lawyer during the hearing of a cheque bounce case at the Delhi court. The man, following his conviction in the case, started hurling abuses at the woman judge for not delivering the verdict in his favour – leaving the attendees stunned. The man even tried to hurl an object at the woman judge.
According to a report in Bar & Bench, the man threatened the woman judge, saying, 'Tu hai kya cheez .............ki tu bahar mil dekhte hai kaise zinda ghar jaati hai (Who do you think you are... meet me outside and let's see how you make it home alive)'
Judicial Magistrate (NI Act) Shivangi Mangla was even pressured to resign and acquit the accused over her verdict.

'Still the undersigned stand against all the odds and always do needful in favor of justice. The undersigned shall be taking appropriate measures against the accused before National Commission Woman, Delhi for such threatening and harassment,' the report quoted the Delhi court as saying.

'Court notice be issued to counsel for accused Sh. Atul Kumar to show cause in writing providing relevant explanation for the conduct shown by him today and further to explain as to why he shall not be referred to the Hon'ble High Court for initiating criminal contempt proceedings against him for such misbehavior.'

Deepak's father, Babasaheb, had retired from Central Railway 15 years prior and subsequently relocated from Mumbai to Badlapur. According to Deepak's cousin, Sachin Khadtale, Deepak had been promoted to cabin crew six months prior. He typically worked on international flights, often returning home after 10 to 15 days. Recently, when he came, his health was not good, Sachin told TOI. Deepak's elder sister Shruti said whenever Deepak went on a trip, he used to call his mother and tell her about his trip before taking the flight. On the day of the tragedy, Deepak had called his mother from Ahmedabad in the morning, telling her he was about to depart for London. That call turned out to be his last conversation with his family. When Shruti and her family heard about the crash on Thursday afternoon, they initially didn't think Deepak was on the flight. However, as his phone kept ringing unanswered, they grew worried. The situation became more alarming when his phone was eventually switched off, and they later saw his name in the cabin crew list. His inconsolable parents were not in a position to travel to Ahmedabad, and his sisters stepped in. 38 Arrested Over 'Beef Head' Incident In Assam's Dhubri, CM Vows Strict Action Against Culprits

In response to the rising communal tensions following reports of desecration of a Hindu temple in Assam's Dhubri district, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the police have arrested 38 people. The police have arrested 38 people in an overnight crackdown after the 'beef head" incident, Sarma said in a post on X. The Assam Chief Minister also issued shoot-at-sight orders in the state's Dhubri district, which borders Bangladesh. During a visit to violence-hit areas, Sarma said the act of throwing a cow's head near a temple should never have occurred and vowed strict action against those responsible. In a post on X, Sharma wrote, 'I visited Dhubri and directed law enforcement officers to follow ZERO tolerance against elements who desecrate our temples, Naamghars and sacred spaces. The incident of throwing beef at the town's Hanuman Mandir should have NEVER happened, and those involved WON'T BE SPARED." He also held a high-level meeting in Dhubri with DGP Harmeet Singh, Additional Chief Secretary Ajay Tiwari, and other senior officials of the state administration. The Chief Minister stated that Dhubri's law and order situation had been deteriorating for over a week. New Delhi [India], June 14 (ANI): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Saurabh Bhardwaj on Friday launched a sharp attack on the ruling government over the growing concerns over public safety in India. He questioned, through a series of tragedies that have happened in recent months, asking for the government's accountability for rising accidents and crime incidents. In a post on X, Bhardwaj said, 'You go for a vacation in Kashmir, and terrorists shoot you point blank. You go to a Kumbh and it ends in a stampede, killing many. You go to a Railway station, you can get killed again in a stampede. You go in a flight for work/vacation, and it crashes. You are studying in your hostel, and the plane falls on you. Rapes, extortion, murders are everyday happening around u. But you can't ask Questions because No one of responsible.' The Aam Aadmi Party leader's remark came after the Al-171 Boeing Dreamliner 787-8 aeroplane bound for London's Gatwick crashed shortly after taking off from the Ahmedabad International Airport on Thursday. The airlines said only one out of the 242 people on board the aircraft survived the crash. The aircraft was piloted by Captain Sumeet Sabharwal, a Line Training Captain with 8,200 hours of flying experience, assisted by First Officer Clive Kundar, who had logged 1,100 flying hours. According to Air Traffic Control (ATC), the aircraft departed from Ahmedabad at 1339 IST (0809 UTC) from runway 23. It made a Mayday call to ATC, but thereafter, the aircraft did not respond to the calls. Immediately after departing Runway 23, the aircraft crashed outside the airport perimeter, and heavy black smoke began emanating from the accident site. There were 169 Indian nationals, 53 British nationals, seven Portuguese nationals, and one Canadian national on board the crashed plane, airline authorities said. (ANI)
