Funeral of Martyr Mohammed Omar Baghawi Held in Al-Hodeidah
Al-Hodeidah - SABA:
The funeral of martyr Mohammed Omar Baghawi, an employee of the Gas Company, was held today in the city of Al-Hodeidah. He was martyred in the Zionist aggression targeting the oil facility at Ras Issa Port.
The funeral was attended by the Deputy Governor of Al-Hodeidah, Mohammed Halaisi, the head of the General Union of the Oil Company, and a number of local officials. The mourners condemned the brutal crime committed by the enemy at Ras Issa Port, describing it as part of a systematic campaign and deliberate targeting of Yemen's vital economic infrastructure.
They considered the targeting of civilian service facilities, including energy and port infrastructure, a full-fledged war crime that reflects the Zionist enemy's failure and desperation to deter the Yemeni people from supporting the Palestinian cause.
The martyr's body was laid to rest in the Ghalil Cemetery in Al-Hawak District after funeral prayers at Al-Saeed Mosque.

Yemen : Houthis Launch Arrest Campaign in Sana'a over Use of "Starlink" Internet
Sana'a – June 11, 2025 The Houthi group has carried out a wave of arrests targeting dozens of civilians in the Yemeni capital, Sana'a, over the use of "Starlink" satellite internet devices, according to local human rights sources. Reports indicate that at least 54 people, including electronics shop owners, university students, and academics, were detained during raids across several districts such as Al-Sabeen, Ma'een, and Azal. The campaign also involved extensive searches and seizures of electronic equipment and the imposition of hefty fines on citizens. A human rights activist in Sana'a—speaking on condition of anonymity—stated that 'the Houthis aim to fully monopolize the communications sector and suppress any means of accessing the internet beyond their control.' In a controversial move, students and professors at the Faculty of Computer Science at Sana'a University were forced to attend events warning against the 'dangers of satellite internet,' a step that observers say violates academic freedom and amounts to a form of censorship. International and local human rights organizations have called for the immediate release of the detainees and the end of what they've described as a 'repressive campaign,' labeling the measures a blatant violation of human rights and freedom of expression. It's worth noting that satellite internet services like "Starlink" have gained popularity in regions suffering from poor connectivity or monopolized internet access, offering a vital lifeline for residents to stay connected with the outside world.

President congratulates Russian counterpart
Sana'a - Saba: President of the Supreme Political Council Mahdi al-Mashat on Wednesday sent a congratulatory cable to President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on the occasion of the friendly Russian people's celebration of Sovereignty Day. The cable read: As your friendly people celebrate Sovereignty Day, I am pleased to extend to Your Excellency my warmest congratulations, along with my cordial wishes for good health, happiness, and further development for your friendly country. As your friendly people celebrate Sovereignty Day, it gives me great pleasure to extend to Your Excellency my warmest congratulations, along with my sincere wishes for your continued health and happiness, and for further growth and prosperity for your friendly country. The Russian role is highly regarded and relied upon in restoring global balance and curbing the blind imperialism that seeks to dominate the sovereignty of nations and interfere in their internal affairs to control the wealth of peoples. We hope that Russia's future role will further promote global peace and stability for all societies and nations—foremost among them the Palestinian cause, as the Palestinian people face genocide at the hands of the brutal Zionist machine, under the cover of American imperialism. Such actions stand in stark violation of all international covenants and agreements. We would like to take this opportunity to reaffirm our country's keenness to deepen the bonds of friendship with your nation in all fields, in a manner that enhances both regional and international security and stability.
