This full-scale deployment - now live for over 18 months - has equipped MONEX with enhanced operational efficiency, increased customer engagement and the agility to scale its trade finance business. The collaboration marks a significant milestone in MONEX's digital transformation journey and is helping drive strategic business expansion.
A valued Surecomp customer for over 15 years, MONEX has transitioned from a legacy back-office system to Surecomp's flagship solution DOKA-NG™ for internal trade finance processing. This is complemented by seamless integration with its front-end customer portal allNETT™.
The decision was prompted by MONEX's ambition to remain competitive in a rapidly evolving trade landscape, which increasingly demands speed, transparency and digital interoperability. As Mexico strengthens its position as a manufacturing hub, affordable trade finance could unlock billions of dollars and over 7% growth in annual exports according to a recent report by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and World Trade Organization (WTO). By leveraging Surecomp's modern, cloud-native solution offering, MONEX is better positioned to help bridge this gap and meet the needs of SMEs and other corporates seeking comprehensive trade finance services.
'Partnering with Surecomp has not only fueled growth in traditional trade finance over the past year, but has provided a solid foundation for us to enter into new market segments,' explains Karla Hernandez, Vice President of Trade Finance at MONEX and Chair of the Mexican FCI, a global factoring association. 'As our business expands into the factoring and supply chain finance arena, we needed a robust, future-ready platform. Surecomp is empowering us to provide a seamless, customer-centric experience while streamlining internal operations and ensuring regulatory compliance. The result is a modernized digital infrastructure that accelerates transaction processing, reduces manual intervention, and delivers an improved customer experience.'
'We are delighted to support MONEX in its continued growth and innovation,' said Matias Hutín, Surecomp's Commercial Head for Latin and North America. 'Its commitment to delivering customer value through technology reflects the broader industry shift towards digital transformation, and we're proud to be a partner on this journey.'

New Dyson Airwrap for 'voluminous, bouncy salon hair every day' now £120 off

"I've cut down my hair routine by a solid 30 minutes, and my hair looks better than ever." Unless you don't spend any time on social media at all, you've definitely heard of the Dyson Airwrap. The viral styler was on almost every wishlist last Christmas. But with a hefty price tag nearing £500, it's safe to say that this product is an investment. Luckily for Amazon shoppers though, the newest model of the viral styler is now a whopping £120 off. The Dyson Airwrap i.d.™ Multi-Styler and Dryer usually retails on Amazon for £479.99, but customers can currently snatch one up at a 25 per cent discount for £359.99, saving them £120. The new Airwrap i.d. is the latest version of the Dyson product, boasting several technological advancements to protect the hair while styling it effortlessly. With six different attachments, the heated gadget can style the hair in a variety of ways using just one device. The curling attachments claim to adapt heat, airflow and timings to the hair type of the user for faster and easier styling. It comes with a large volume-boosting brush that creates endless blow-out styles, as well as a smaller barrel for tighter curls and Bluetooth technology that connects to the Dyson App. Its multidirectional barrel can also wave and curl in both directions for unlimited styling possibilities. Those browsing alternative hair stylers may opt for the original Dyson Airwrap Origin for £399.99 on Argos. Or, those with a stricter budget may prefer the Shark FlexStyle 4-in-1 Multi-Styler and Hair Dryer for £199.99, also on Argos. But customers adore the newest version of the Airwrap on Amazon, and it has raked in an impressive 4.3 star rating out of five. One overjoyed customer said: "The Dyson Airwrap took me a little time to figure out (thank you, TikTok tutorials!), but once I got the hang of it, I was hooked. This tool gives me that voluminous, bouncy hair—think Farrah Fawcett vibes—that I could never quite achieve with traditional curlers or blow dryers. "I love that it comes with so many different attachments, giving you tons of styling options in one tool. I've definitely noticed that the smaller curler holds the curls much better than the larger one, especially if you want that all-day look. "It's definitely an investment, but one that's 100 per cent worth it. I've cut down my hair routine by a solid 30 minutes, and my hair looks better than ever." Yet a less impressed shopper said: "Honestly I am very disappointed. I purchased this on June 17th and it's now August 8 and it does not work! I will turn it on and it randomly shuts right off and then goes back on. It's so annoying and I can do anything with it without shutting off. I paid so much for this to only work for a month." But another pleased customer said: "I have no hair, so this feels like a very expensive leaf blower, however my partner thinks it is the best thing ever and her hair looks like she's come out of a salon every day. "Over time she should know this is less damaging on hair than straighteners." The discounted Dyson Airwrap is available on Amazon. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! The new $4 Woolworths bag solves a common supermarket gripe we've all complained about

A new shopping invention at Woolworths solves the annoying issue of shopping bags slumping at the supermarket's self-checkouts. The Aussie supermarket has just launched its innovative Click N Stay™ bag, a $4 reusable shopping bag that's specifically 'designed to stay open, so you can scan and pack with both hands'. This innovation was developed to make it easier for customers who are scanning and packing their own shopping at self-service checkouts, or when they're using the new Scan&Go trolley devices. The bags are conveniently designed to stay upright and open in the bagging area thanks to a unique locking mechanism at the top. On either side of the top of the bag is the word "Push", which indicates the way it should be manoeuvred to lock the bag open. On the opposite internal side of the bag is the word "Pull", which indicates where the bag can be released to close. This bag cleverly solves the common self-checkout issue of fumbling to hold a floppy shopping bag open with one hand, while simultaneously scanning and packing items with the other hand. For added convenience, the size of these bags has also been designed to perfectly fit inside Woolworths' green trolleys. The new shopping bag was revealed on Woolworths' social media channels in an 11-second video accompanied by a caption heralding it as: 'the upgrade you've been waiting for'. Woolworths have launched their new innovative Click N Stay™ bags range Woolworths shared a short social media video to their TikTok and Instagram accounts, demonstrating their Click N Stay™ bags in-action at a self-checkout The explanatory video shows the new Click N Stay reusable bags in action as they're locked in place and positioned standing upright and open in the self-checkout bagging area. The video voice-over explains that the bags are designed to 'stay open while you scan and pack'. On both Instagram and TikTok, delighted shoppers praised the invention for resolving a long-standing self-checkout issue. 'Aaaamazing!!' read one reply. 'Love these!' added another. The $4 bags are made from at least 90 per cent recycled plastic, and come in three vibrant Australian icon-themed designs. There's a 'Cockatoo & Wattle' pale pink bag and a light blue 'Coffee & Finger Bun' bag. There's the 'Famous Aussie Things' green bag, which features cute illustrations of things like a 'barbie', 'seagulls' and 'hills hoist'. The new Woolworths shopping bags come in three Australian icon-themed designs, 'Cockatoo & Wattle' (left), 'Famous Aussie Things' (centre) and 'Coffee & Finger Bun' (right) 'Love the designs,' commented one shopper in reply to Woolworths' social media video. The new reusable bag range comes following the rollout of Scan&Go trolleys in new Woolworths stores. However, not everyone was convinced by the new supermarket bag. Several shoppers noted in the comments that there was a time not so long ago when shopping 'bags used to be free'. Another person remarked that the $4 price tag was a significant increase on the current 25-cent brown paper bags. However other social media commenters saw the merit in upgrading. '[T]hey've gotta be better than the paper bags,' read one reply. 'The brown paper bags rip every time,' added another. In response to this, Woolworths' own social media team responded: 'Funny you say that… our Click N Stay™ bags were literally made for this moment.' The new range of Click & Stay bags joins Woolworths' existing reusable bag range, which includes their signature Green Totes, Chiller Bags, Art Bags, and foldable fruit-shaped Fabric Bags.

Breakingviews - Bloated fast-dining stocks slip toward food coma

NEW YORK, Aug 13 (Reuters Breakingviews) - Growth hopes for upscale lunch-bowl slingers look overstuffed. On Tuesday, Mediterranean chain Cava (CAVA.N), opens new tab said that sales in stores open for at least a year rose just over 2% in the second quarter, well shy of analysts' estimates of above 6%, according to LSEG data. Burrito behemoth Chipotle (CMG.N), opens new tab and salad darling Sweetgreen (SG.N), opens new tab, meanwhile, saw declines. Overripe expectations are meeting the diminished urban dining rush. A $30 billion loss in market value for the trio so far this year may just be the start. Each chain is still chasing expansion in full tilt. Chipotle is set to open, opens new tab over 315 new restaurants in 2025, while Cava expects, opens new tab 60 openings and Sweetgreen was planning, opens new tab 40-plus stores. This urgent flurry of activity comes as casual and quick-service restaurants registered roughly flat traffic, opens new tab in the first quarter, according to research outfit To boot, office occupancy in major U.S. metros remains at around 53% of pre-pandemic levels, property security provider Kastle Systems, opens new tab reckons, curbing the weekday 'slop bowl, opens new tab' lunch surge that made these chains ubiquitous. Given that the data shows suburban restaurants recovering more quickly, opens new tab than their urban counterparts since 2022, a push into new areas makes some sense. The flipside is that suburban gains may struggle to offset inner-city drag. Chipotle has turned to price hikes to sustain momentum: Since 2021, the Mexican grill's menu prices are up roughly 24%, well above the 14% rise for the broader industry, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Cava has been more restrained, raising menu prices by just 1.7% in 2025. Nonetheless, foot traffic still slipped. Next to an inevitable slowdown, the trio's valuations look bloated. On August 8, Cava shares traded at nearly 130 times expected next-12-months' earnings. Chipotle sat at around 32 times. Assuming that they converge over the next five years to 20 times, a reasonable premium for mature chains, Cava would need to notch about 46% annual earnings growth, and Chipotle roughly 10%, to justify current stock prices. The latter's hurdle is tough but plausible; the former's well exceeds analyst forecasts collected by Visible Alpha. Loyal customers, opens new tab and menu innovation, opens new tab could still deliver bursts of growth. But unless these brands can figure out how to attract a rush of new diners, their valuations will seem increasingly indulgent. Follow Sebastian Pellejero on LinkedIn, opens new tab.
