In the glitzy and glamorous world of Bollywood, fame and wealth often go hand in hand. The more opportunities an actor gets, the more fees they charge. One such similar tale is of an actress who entered the world of Bollywood without any godfather, had a rocky start, but today, she has carved a name for herself. She invented herself from a flop debutant to one of the top actresses. Besides being one of the most bankable actresses, she is also a business entrepreneur. Katrina Kaif: Early Life, Film Debut, and More
The person that we are talking about is none other than Katrina Kaif. Born on 16th July 16th July 1983 in Hong Kong. She had a tough childhood with her parents being separated while she was still very young. At just the age of 14, Katrina started working she started modelling. It was then that an Indian filmmaker, Kaizad Gustad, discovered Katrina Kaif and later cast her in her debut film called Boom. Although the film turned out to be a flop, Katrina captivated everyone with her beauty. But over the years, Katrina worked on her skills and proved that she is more than just a pretty face. In the year 2007, Namastey London was released. This film turned out to be a superhit, and Katrina Kaif was praised for her impeccable performance. This film further cemented her into being a successful actress. Later, she delivered many hits like Ek Tha Tiger (2012), Raajneeti (2010), Bharat (2019), and Zero (2018). Katrina's Life- The Entrepreneur
In 2019, Katrina Kaif took a bold leap from cinema and ventured into launching her beauty line, Kay Beauty. She collaborated with e-commerce giant Nykaa for the same. What's interesting is that Katrina did not impulsively launch her brand because of her goodwill and fame. She had already laid the groundwork. In 2018, Katrina had invested ₹2.04 crore in a business venture with Nykaa. By 2021, that investment had grown nearly tenfold, touching ₹22 crore. Kay Beauty turned out to carve a niche for itself despite the massive competition.
As per 2025 reports, in just six years, Katrina's brand has made its place among the best-selling cosmetic brands in the country. It earned a revenue of Rs 240 crore in 2025. Katrina Life Real Estate Investment
Besides this, Katrina Kaif had also invested in real estate. Before she tied the knot with actor Vicky Kaushal, she was residing in a Rs 17 crore duplex in the upscale Maurya House in Andheri West, Mumbai. She also owns a house in London which costs approximately Rs. 7,2 crores. Post-marriage, she resides in a lavish sea-facing Juhu apartment with Vicky Kaushal, for which the couple pays a whopping ₹6.2 crore lease over three years.
From having no godfather to becoming a top actress in Bollywood and owning her beauty line, Katrina Kaif has come a long way.
