'AJLT': Here's Where You've Seen Carrie's Hot Gardener (And Tom Hardy Lookalike) Logan Marshall-Green Before

It's a tough time being a fan of And Just Like That... and its leading lady, Carrie Bradshaw. So far this season we've had that hand lick, a bonnet and in episode two, we had to withstand a plague of rats. But thankfully, Carrie finally came up with the goods hiring landscape architect to the stars, Adam Gardens, played by Logan Marshall-Green.

After her romance novel writing is interrupted by the aforementioned rats in the beautiful garden of her Gramercy home (we're completely obsessed - the wisteria!), in her determination to look underneath the perfection, Carrie hires a string of professionals to try and sort her garden (clearly the gardening bloom boom hasn't reached New York's great and good).
In comes Adam, played by Marshall-Green. And as she magicked him straight off her own page, he enters by saving Carrie's cat, Shoe. It seems viewers were thrilled to see him too, with fans swooning all over social media. In the US, where viewers can see the latest AJLT episode at a more sociable hour than the UK's 2.05 am drop, Marshall-Green was the top trending topic on Google for viewers of the show.
And with there being more pictures of Adam online - and that garden a long way from done - it looks like the actor could be a recurring cast member in season three.
So where have you seen the actor before? Here's what you need to know.
Marshall-Green has starred in a number of TV shows and films across his varied career, but chances are you may remember him from way back, when he starred in The O.C. The actor starred as Trey Atwood, Ryan's big brother in nine episodes, after he replaced another actor. He was a crucial part in the show, when he attacked Marisa in season two, before she shot him at the end of the series.
He had a six-episode role in 24, and was in series including Damnation, The Defeated and Big Sky. He's also appeared in big-budget films like Carry-On, Spider-Man: Homecoming and Prometheus.
While the likeness isn't maybe as obvious in his beared Adam Gardens guise, throughout his career, people have compared him to Brit actor Tom Hardy, with some claiming it's hard to tell them apart.
And while, no, he's not related to Hardy, he does have a twin brother - Taylor Marshall-Green.
The likeness between Marshall-Green and Hardy is so commonplace, that he has previously spoken about it.
'I'd be honoured to be in the same sentence as Tom Hardy,' he's told ELLE previously. 'I've been a twin since the day I was born - fraternal, but we look a lot alike - so I've already been mixed up with another man my entire life.'

Google isn't just paying big for AI talent — it's splurging on celeb talent too

Google's Pixel event featured a parade of celebrities, including Jimmy Fallon as host. The event showcased Google's investment in celebrity appearances to boost product launches. The tech giant also announced the hiring of NBA star Stephen Curry as its new performance advisor. Jimmy Fallon. Alexandra Cooper. Steph Curry. The Jonas Brothers. Google isn't just paying big to score major AI talent — it's also ponying up for celeb talent. If you tuned into Google's Pixel event on Wednesday, you might have lost track of the number of celebrities flashing across your screen in the first five minutes. The annual "Made by Google" keynote opened with a star-studded video montage, with celebrities "passing the phone" to each other. It kicked off with "Call Her Daddy" podcaster Alex Cooper and then cut to a number of household names and notable figures, including NBA star Steph Curry, golf pro Bryson DeChambeau, and F1 driver Lando Norris. Jimmy Fallon also made an appearance in the intro before taking the stage to host the event. The celebrity cameos didn't end in the intro — they were name-dropped throughout the event. For example, while joining in on a demo showcasing Pixel's texting platform, Fallon's screen showed recent texts with Curry, Cooper, Joe Jonas, and other celebrities. Some of the celebrities also made it onstage in Brooklyn for live demos, like Cooper, who did a segment showing off Pixel's new photo framing and editing capabilities. Other buzzy names, like Peloton fitness instructor Cody Rigsby, broke a sweat testing the Pixel Watch 4. SubwayTakes' Kareem Rahma appeared as well to introduce a pre-recorded video decrying the return of wired earbuds as a fashion statement. It was a star-studded roster that couldn't have been cheap — and a notable flex by Google, whose search and advertising business continues to boom, helping celebrity partnerships and hiring efforts in the AI talent wars. Ahead of the showcase, Google announced a new partnership with Curry, who will serve as its "Performance Advisor" across Google Health, Pixel, and Google Cloud to help fine-tune its products. At the event, Google celebrated the collaboration with a skit showing Curry in a mock interview at the tech giant. The event then closed with Nick Jonas greeting Jimmy Fallon on the stage, and showing a music video that the Jonas Brothers filmed on the Pixel 10 Pro. Google's events have often included celebrity appearances, but this year appeared to be a notable uptick. Senior vice president of platforms and devices, Rick Osterloh, hinted at a reason why during an early conversation with Fallon at the start of the 10th Google Pixel event, which he said would be "pretty different." "There's a lot of reasons to do it like this, but we think this year, we've got a game-changing phone with game-changing technology," Osterloh said. "Why not have a game-changing launch event," he added.

Every Piece of Pixel Hardware Announced at Made by Google 2025

Even though the Pixel 10 leaks and rumors felt as if they arrived in a steady firehose before today's Made by Google event -- compelling the company to release a teaser video pre-announcing the new phone's existence a month ago -- Google still delivered details it somehow managed to keep private until it was ready to share. And that delivery was refreshingly fun for a tech event. The Tonight Show host Jimmy Kimmel led the proceedings in a very late-night talk show format, bringing on several special guests from media, sports and yes, Google's own experts to show off the products and features they've been working on for today's announcements. Watch this: Everything Announced at Made by Google 2025 in 7 Minutes 06:58 Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL are real Surprise, Google announced new phones! OK, this was the least surprising part of the event, but it still feels good to finally know what exists and when it's coming. Preorders for the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL begin today and will be in stores and shipping starting August 28. Joseph Maldonado/CNET Pixel 10 Pro Fold opens the next chapter of foldables Folding phones so far have shared an Achilles Hinge: small particulates like sand can get inside the case and really mess things up. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold is one of the first to have an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, meaning you can take it to the beach. Pixel Watch 4 talks to Gemini and is your new health coach The Pixel Watch 4 includes new fitness options like real-time guidance while exercising. And if you forgot to start a workout, the watch (with AI help) can detect the activity in the background and remind you of it later, giving you credit for the effort you made. It's also the only smartwatch that can detect a loss of pulse and call emergency services automatically. The Pixel Watch 4 has a familiar design with an upgraded domed screen that's 50% brighter than the Pixel Watch 3, with a 3,000-nit peak. Joseph Maldonado/CNET Pixel Buds 2a are more affordable earbuds Joining the Pixel Buds 2 Pro in the market are Pixel Buds 2a, an affordable ($130) pair of wireless earbuds that feature active noise cancellation, a smaller and lighter for all, and a twist-to-adjust stabilizer feature for setting a comfortable fit. Joseph Maldonado/CNET Pixel Buds Pro 2 owners will see new features Coming in a software update next month, Pixel Buds Pro 2 owners will be able to answer calls or send them to voicemail with a nod or shake of the head. You'll be able to talk to Gemini live in noisy locations, and benefit from adaptive audio that applies noise cancellation while letting important sounds come through. At the other end, a new feature will protect your hearing from very loud sounds. Magic Cue is a Gemini assistant that pulls data from your correspondence In the rollout of all the various AI technologies in the industry, the current stretch goal is "agentic" interactions with software: Having an AI that knows all sorts of details about you and can act to get the important stuff in front of you when needed. (And do it in a privacy-first way, one would hope.) Magic Cue is Google's implementation. It's a new Gemini-based feature that can look through your earlier messages, emails and photos to pull details about things like restaurant reservations and flight times. Magic Cue runs on the Pixel device itself, so sensitive data stays private and not shared to the cloud. The Pixel 10 Pro and 10 Pro XL can zoom to 100x with AI help Pro Res Zoom on the Pixel 10 Pro phones pushes zooming far beyond what would seem to be possible with typical small cameras. Usually when you zoom beyond the optical limits of the cameras, details get fuzzy as the software upscales the image. With Pro Res Zoom, when you go beyond 30x zoom, it uses generative AI to build a sharper version. CNET's Andrew Lanxon got both impressive and head-scratching results while making photos in Paris using the Pixel 10 Pro XL. The original zoomed image (left) and the Pro Res Zoom version (right). Andrew Lanxon/CNET At 100x zoom, the Pro Res Zoom feature's generative AI turned the plane (left) into an odd bundle of sticks (right). Andrew Lanxon/CNET Camera Coach uses AI to encourage better photos Smartphone cameras have employed AI for several years, such as identifying subjects in order to blur the background for Portrait modes or quickly snapping several shots at multiple exposures and blending them together to create well-balanced lighting throughout. Now Google is using AI to help you take better photos. Camera Coach is a new feature in the Pixel Camera app that looks at the scene in front of the lens and generates multiple suggestions for how to improve the photo before it's captured. To show this off, podcaster Alex Cooper brought Fallon out to be her model and sat him down on a couch. When she activated the feature, Camera Coach suggested that she move the camera closer to the subject, position his head in the upper portion of the frame, lower the camera to eye level and turn on Portrait mode. "To all the girls that are watching, I personally know how hard it is to train your boyfriend or your husband to get that perfect shot," said Cooper. "And now Camera Coach can just train all the boys for us." The Camera Coach feature helped better frame Jimmy Fallon for a portrait photo. Google/Screenshot by Viva Tung/CNET Pixel 10 supports Qi2 magnetic charging The Qi2 spec includes not just faster charging but also an array of magnets on the back for connecting to accessories. Sound familiar? The presenters mentioned Apple's MagSafe system, then paused with the realization that they probably shouldn't have name-checked it during the Google event. On the Pixel 10 phones, it's called Pixelsnap and should work with accessories made for Apple's ecosystem too. Pixel 10 will be available in Mexico In an impressive segment demonstrating Gemini live translation during a phone call, musician Karen Polinesia, who speaks Spanish, announced that for the first time, the Pixel 10 will be available for sale in Mexico. Here Are 7 Editor-Approved Outfits You Can Wear to the U.S. Open

Every item on this page was chosen by an ELLE editor. We may earn commission on some of the items you choose to buy. Of course, you can wear whatever you want to the U.S. Open. The annual tennis tournament doesn't enforce a strict dress code. However, it's still fun to put a little effort into your game-day outfit. Before you go all out, remember that this is a sporting event. The day could be filled with a lot of walking up and down stadium stairs as well dealing with sweltering, end-of-summer weather. So, you'll want to pick a look that strikes the perfect balance of sophisticated ease. Pictures of Kendall Jenner attending the U.S. Open a few years ago live rent-free in my head. Her look proved that sometimes all you need is a simple, one-and-done dress, black sandals, and a sporty cap to ring in compliments. On the other side of the spectrum, you could always lean into the tenniscore trend (when in Rome, right?) Ganni has the cutest mini skirt that matches the sporty aesthetic. On the other hand, Miu Miu put a runway-worthy twist on the preppy sport with logo-emblazoned polos that will fit right in. Don't forget to put some thought into your shoes and accessories. Comfortable loafers or chic tennis shoes are ideal for long days—not to mention, it's wise to keep the bag policy in mind when finalizing your look. Thankfully, you don't have to spend money on a clear pouch. At the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, handbags smaller than 12 inches wide by 12 inches tall by 16 inches long are totally fine. Discover exactly what to wear to the U.S. Open below. A Versatile Dress With a Sporty Cap Follow Jenner's lead and wear a timeless dress to the match. All you'll need is a sport hat to feel right on theme. The Cozy Shorts With Polished Pieces Nothing feels as comfortable as a pair of cuddly soft sweat shorts. Of course, planning any outfit is all about creating balance. Add an elevated touch to the look with a crisp button-down and minimalist, barely-there kitten heels. The Mini Skirt With the Coordinating Rugby Shirt Channel your favorite tennis player with a mini skirt that will fit right in to the scenery. Add a striped shirt to the look to amplify the sporty attitude. The Ladylike Jacket With Relaxed Fit Jeans You can never go wrong with a great pair of jeans and comfortable black flats. An elegant blouse and a tweed jacket will prove to be perfect pairings. The Sweatshirt With Sophisticated Details For a sporty look that also feels sophisticated, pair a sleek sweatshirt with breezy line trousers. For maximum comfort, let a cool pair of white sneakers anchor the look. The Preppy Look With a Sultry Skirt For instant sartorial success, count on preppy items—like loafers, a polo shirt, and scrunchy socks, to anchor your outfit. The Denim Maxi With Textured Accessories Should you want to go the dressier route, reach for a denim midi skirt to elevate your U.S. Open outfit. It'll look exceptional with a small woven handbag and easy-to-walk-in kitten heels.
