Of course, you can wear whatever you want to the U.S. Open. The annual tennis tournament doesn't enforce a strict dress code. However, it's still fun to put a little effort into your game-day outfit. Before you go all out, remember that this is a sporting event. The day could be filled with a lot of walking up and down stadium stairs as well dealing with sweltering, end-of-summer weather. So, you'll want to pick a look that strikes the perfect balance of sophisticated ease.
Pictures of Kendall Jenner attending the U.S. Open a few years ago live rent-free in my head. Her look proved that sometimes all you need is a simple, one-and-done dress, black sandals, and a sporty cap to ring in compliments.
On the other side of the spectrum, you could always lean into the tenniscore trend (when in Rome, right?) Ganni has the cutest mini skirt that matches the sporty aesthetic. On the other hand, Miu Miu put a runway-worthy twist on the preppy sport with logo-emblazoned polos that will fit right in.
Don't forget to put some thought into your shoes and accessories. Comfortable loafers or chic tennis shoes are ideal for long days—not to mention, it's wise to keep the bag policy in mind when finalizing your look. Thankfully, you don't have to spend money on a clear pouch. At the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, handbags smaller than 12 inches wide by 12 inches tall by 16 inches long are totally fine.
Discover exactly what to wear to the U.S. Open below.
A Versatile Dress With a Sporty Cap
Follow Jenner's lead and wear a timeless dress to the match. All you'll need is a sport hat to feel right on theme.
The Cozy Shorts With Polished Pieces
Nothing feels as comfortable as a pair of cuddly soft sweat shorts. Of course, planning any outfit is all about creating balance. Add an elevated touch to the look with a crisp button-down and minimalist, barely-there kitten heels.
The Mini Skirt With the Coordinating Rugby Shirt
Channel your favorite tennis player with a mini skirt that will fit right in to the scenery. Add a striped shirt to the look to amplify the sporty attitude.
The Ladylike Jacket With Relaxed Fit Jeans
You can never go wrong with a great pair of jeans and comfortable black flats. An elegant blouse and a tweed jacket will prove to be perfect pairings.
The Sweatshirt With Sophisticated Details
For a sporty look that also feels sophisticated, pair a sleek sweatshirt with breezy line trousers. For maximum comfort, let a cool pair of white sneakers anchor the look.
The Preppy Look With a Sultry Skirt
For instant sartorial success, count on preppy items—like loafers, a polo shirt, and scrunchy socks, to anchor your outfit.
The Denim Maxi With Textured Accessories
Should you want to go the dressier route, reach for a denim midi skirt to elevate your U.S. Open outfit. It'll look exceptional with a small woven handbag and easy-to-walk-in kitten heels.

Why Kylie Jenner's Relationship With Timothée Chalamet Is 'One of Her Healthiest' Ever

THE RUNDOWN Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet reunited this week in Budapest, Hungary, where the actor is shooting Dune: Part Three. Now, two sources are giving Us Weekly extensive detail about what the couple's relationship is like two years in, especially during their long-distance periods. One insider said that despite breakup rumors earlier this summer, they are 'still together and happy [with] no break' in their romance. A second source told the outlet that Jenner and Chalamet have 'one of the healthiest' relationships that Jenner has ever had. Being with Chalamet has given Jenner 'a sense of calm and stability that she hasn't always had in the past,' the source said. '[Timothée] lets Kylie just be herself, and there is no pressure from either of them,' the source continued. 'They have the same sense of humor and understanding of their two different lives. It just works. Their ability to keep things low-key, even with their high-profile careers, has made the connection feel even more genuine.' The source also addressed split rumors, noting that Jenner and Chalamet don't have to be physically together to be in a good place. 'They are very much together and don't need to be in person together every day for it to work,' the source said. 'They adore each other and really make it work even with two busy schedules and sometimes not even being in the same time zone.' The first source made the same point, saying, 'He's on set working, and she has two kids. They have schedules that don't allow them to see each other every day, but it works for them, and everyone around them sees that. They don't frequently get spotted together because when they get together, they are able to do it privately most of the time with one-on-one special time.' The update comes after a source spoke to People last weekend about the limitations the couple faces while Chalamet works on Dune: Part Three abroad. 'Even though Kylie has a private jet, the flight is still 12 hours,' the source said. 'She's a mom and she works as well. She has a lot of responsibilities in L.A. Timothée's schedule is grueling, with very little downtime.' 'They're making it work though,' the insider stressed. 'They FaceTime most days. They miss each other and are totally fine.'

Serena Williams explains why she took weight-loss drug, lost 31 pounds

Serena Williams revealed she has turned to GLP-1s — which are weight-loss drugs– to help her with weight loss after having two children. Ro's website states the 43-year-old Williams — who is a paid spokesperson for the company — has lost 31 pounds in eight months. 'I literally tried everything. Running, walking, biking, stairclimber, you name it, I did it,' Williams said on 'Today' on Thursday. 'Even now trying to play a professional sport, it was something that I feel like even I felt like, 'OK, I don't want to do this because it is a shortcut or its is like a quick way out.' 'But it actually isn't and there's something that I feel personally that my body was missing in particular after having two kids, I wasn't able to be at a weight that was healthy for me.' 5 Serena Williams on 'Today' on Thursday. @TODAY/YouTube Williams said she wanted to tell folks of her weight-loss journey to help push back against the stigma that using a GLP-1 is lazy or provides a shortcut. GLP-1s 'work by mimicking a hormone your body naturally produces to regulate blood sugar levels, slow digestion, and help you feel fuller longer,' per the company's website. The controversial weight-loss drug Ozempic is a GLP-1. Williams said she struggled to stay at a 'healthy' weight after giving birth to daughter Olympia in 2017 and daughter Adira in 2023. 5 Ro highlights Serena Williams' partnership. She mentioned the 'Being Serena' documentary from 2018 in which her coach, Patrick Mouratoglou, told her she needs to lose weight. 'So, for me, eventually, when GLP-1s came out, it was like, 'No way, no how, it's not for me. Don't sign me up.' I looked at it like a sport,' Williams said on 'Today.' 'As an opponent, like I can beat this opponent no matter what I do, I have to try something different. Tried something different, it didn't work. So eventually … I saw my friends using it, I saw a lot of people on it and I tried it and it actually worked.' 5 Serena Williams and her family in July 2025. Ulices Ramales / BACKGRID While there is some pushback for those who use weight-loss drugs, Williams is not concerned. 'A lot of people are on it an don't talk about it,' Williams said. 'So I'm like, 'Why are we questioning?' We should just talk about it and be totally open, I've been kind of open most of my life. I just feel like there's no need to just not deny it, it is what it is and I love how I'm feeling now.' 5 Williams discussing her health on the show. @TODAY/YouTube This conversation came three days before the start of the U.S. Open, an event she won six times, including in 2014. Williams said she misses the sports following her August 2022 retirement. 5 Serena Williams during the 2022 U.S. Open. AP 'I think there's a part of me that will always miss tennis because when you do something for your entire life from the day you remember you always had a goal and then one day you wake up and that's not your goal anymore and that's a huge change,' Williams said. 'But, at the same time, I have so many wonderful memories. I have had so many great times. I can always take solace in that.'
